We are currently looking for individuals to come and join our QA team from January through to April.

The role is carrying out product day to day quality checks, reporting issues with the crop, working in a packhouse/vase life room. Other tasks as requested by Technical Manager.

Full training will be provided and PPE is also provided but warm clothing and boots are essential

Work Pattern

The working week can be up to 6 days per week during our peak times particularly Mother’s Day and Easter.

The working day starts at either 7am or 8am and finishes at 5-6pm. These hours are reduced or extended depending on customer orders

We also offer flexibility for working parents and have shifts available to work around the school runs / childcare. We are also happy to consider other flexible shift patterns that candidates may put forward.
Onsite accommodation can be provided for the duration of employment.

We are currently looking for an individual to come and join us in our Packhouse/Despatch Facility, starting immediately through to the end of April. Working within a small team of forklift drivers, you will assist with preparing orders for despatch and load / unload flower deliveries in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Objectives:

Operating the forklift under the direction of the department manager
Carry out daily pre-use inspections on equipment, reporting any faults.
Unload goods deliveries, ensuring the Stock Controller is informed, paperwork matches the delivery and is passed to the Stock Controller.
Supply the Packhouse with pallets, trays and buckets as directed by the assistant Operations Manager or his deputies.
Carry out operational tasks while observing Safe Systems of Work.
Follow the “Clean as you Go” policy ensuring work areas are kept tidy, bins are emptied, pallets are stacked appropriately, and forklifts are cleaned weekly.
Assist with repairs and maintenance as required and within trained competency limits.
Take responsibility for your own Health & Safety and that of colleagues.

Key Objectives:
- To ensure that operational tasks are carried out accurately, timely and to budget costs.
- Ensuring that all activities are undertaken in a safe manner.
- Support the daily processes of the supply chain from packed stock in to order fulfilment and despatch.
- Provide leadership, support and mentoring to your team. Ensure that training needs are identified and provided where necessary.


Operational Tasks:
- Ensure orders are picked, palletised, and loaded accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare pallet record sheet in the most cost-effective way.
- Preparing any EU documentation requirements
- Ensure transport is booked with hauliers to meet delivery windows.
- Ensure all necessary delivery paperwork is completed accurately and accompanies each load.
- Ensure all case and pallet labels are correct and present where required.
- Process orders as required to enable all despatch, delivery, and invoicing of all goods
- Assist the line manager in preparing workload and adjusting staff levels accordingly.
- Provide training, leadership and mentoring for seasonal staff.
- Ensure all daily checks on FLTs and other equipment are carried out and any defects reported.
- Manage hiring and de-hiring of customer returnable.
- Inform the Stock Controller of any goods deliveries and ensure relevant paperwork is passed on.
- Ensure the despatch department is adequately staffed and overtime is kept to a minimum.
- Raise purchase orders correctly for all transport and packaging.
- Maintain all guidelines and standard operating procedures.
- Monitoring any delivery or invoice discrepancies and reporting the day-to-day positions and resolving queries.
- Monitoring debit notes and reporting weekly on the debit note position
- Prepare daily, weekly and adhoc reports for your line manager as required
- Ensure customer specific standards on documentation and data entered in portals is accurate and meets the standards expected of both the business and our customers.
