The Opportunity
The Academic Health Sciences Center is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant l to join their team. The Certified Medical Assistant l is responsible for performing physician support services to ensure the care of patients under the oversight of a licensed Physician. Certified Medical Assistant l will assist in other areas to meet the needs of the Clinic.

The Opportunity:
The University of Central Florida (UCF) College of Medicine (COM) Office of Administration and Finance is seeking qualified candidates for a Security Management Coordinator I position. This position supports security, safety, and emergency management efforts at the UCF Health Sciences Campus, the UCF Lake Nona Cancer Center, UCF Health Gateway, UCF Health Quadrangle, UCF Health Osceola, Bldg. 20 (HS II), Bldg. 90, the BBS Biomolecular Research Annex, and leased facilities for UCF College of Medicine clerkship programs. Travel to these locations may be necessary. This position has been identified as critical personnel for the University.
Responsibilities:
Assist with the development and maintenance of emergency management documentation including, but not limited to, the Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan, location-specific Building Emergency Action Plans, Continuity of Operation Plans, Hurricane Action Plan, and emergency call tree. Participate in annual reviews, exercises, and drills. Edit the plan and provide it to the Manager, Security Management for final review.
Utilize dnaFusion, TRAKA, and IDMS badging to create, issue, and deactivate badges; to open and secure rooms during special events, to remove/grant access to Students, Staff, and Faculty; and to issue and secure building and office keys. Track all building and office keys, as well as badges via the UCF College of Medicine Badge and Key Database.
Verify proper functionality of all closed-circuit security camera systems on a daily basis. Report any suspicious behavior, inoperable cameras, and/or server issues to the Manager, Security Management. Escort and support vendors during camera system installations, repairs, and replacements. Test and maintain emergency equipment, including but not limited to, Motorola radios, incident command equipment, and CPR / AED / 1st Aid training equipment.
Represent the College of Medicine in the UCF Emergency Operations Center as the secondary (backup) Emergency Coordinating Officer during emergency activations. Provide leadership and maintain situational awareness during severe weather, security-related issues, and special events through the development and dispersal of incident briefings, incident action plans, and security operational plans.
Serve as a backup to cover the College of Medicine 1st or 3rd-floor Welcome Desks. Greet and check in visitors; provide directions to meeting spaces. Accept mail and package deliveries; notify recipients. Issue temporary parking decals to students, staff, and faculty. Assist with event setup, as necessary.
Assist with parking enforcement and the distribution of temporary parking decals to standardized patients, volunteer faculty, and adjunct faculty. Complete any and all necessary parking documentation for tracking and auditing purposes.
Organize training opportunities regarding various topics, including but not limited to, CPR/AED use, first aid, hurricane preparedness, and active shooter response. Engage in continual learning opportunities to enhance the knowledge base of Incident Command System/National Incident Management System, FERPA, HIPPA, OSHA, and Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design policies, procedures, and standards.
Interface with UCF Police, Orlando Police, Orlando Fire, Orange County Sheriff’s Office, UCF Environmental Health and Safety, and other Medical City organizations on operational issues such as campus safety and security at the various College of Medicine locations.
Other duties as assigned include but are not limited to, timely completion of required university and College of Medicine training and updates.

The Opportunity:
The Director will work with stakeholders to ensure the protection of information entrusted to the university and provide direction, guidance and support to administration, faculty, and staff in all aspects of privacy compliance. In coordination with the university's compliance and risk functions, the Director will conduct privacy risk assessments, develop policy, provide training, create and conduct ongoing privacy compliance monitoring activities, and lead or participate in privacy related university committees to maintain an effective data privacy compliance program. Responsibilities:
Develop and direct a privacy compliance program for the university.
Serve as the university's GDPR data protection officer and oversight for FERPA and HIPAA compliance, partnering with the university registrar on FERPA and the associate general counsel on HIPAA.
Additionally, serving as the university's HIPAA privacy officer and HIPAA security officer.
Collaborate with the chief information security officer to ensure alignment between security and privacy compliance programs, including policies, practices, and investigations.
Ensure that appropriate privacy and confidentiality authorization forms, consents, notices of privacy practices, and other materials reflect current university practices and are consistent with legal requirements.
Coordinate with university departments and units to ensure proper implementation of all privacy-related audit and investigation recommendations.
Conduct privacy risk assessments and ongoing privacy compliance monitoring activities in coordination with the university’s compliance and risk functions.
Review and contribute to policies, procedures, and related processes to ensure the integrity of electronic Protected Health Information (ePHI) and help prevent, detect, contain, and correct breaches of ePHI while enforcing the HIPAA Privacy Rule and the HIPAA Security Rule across all university healthcare components.
Develop privacy training materials and other communications to train employees on university privacy policies, data handling practices and procedures.
Serve on the security incident response team, respond to incidents involving potential or actual exposure or disclosure of restricted data or confidential information, and conduct privacy investigations.
In coordination with the office of general counsel, review contract language involving the collection, protection, transfer and/or use of regulated data, and offer guidance on ways to minimize privacy compliance risks.
Provide highly specialized expertise to leadership on privacy and information protection; related state, federal, and international regulations and laws (including GDPR and FERPA); and industry standards.
Additionally, lead or participate on privacy-related university committees and perform other duties as assigned.

Responsible for the initiation, planning, and execution of Campus Activities Board (CAB) and Late Knights, which plans events and programs throughout the year for the University Community (approx. 75-100 programs).

Maintain working relationship with campus and local partners including UCF athletics, Alumni Association, and local business to support programming services.
Provide direction and advisement to executive boards and committees for CAB and Late Knights.
Responsible for recruitment, selection, and training of student leaders for CAB and Late Knights.
Responsible for monitoring and providing guidance to CAB and Late Knights executive board regarding budgetary matters.
Responsible for contract management and negotiation as it pertains to CAB and Late Knights to ensure the proper implementation and completion of all events.

The Opportunity:
The Safety Specialist I for radiation safety acts as an expert resource for the university community on radiation and laser safety. The specialist contributes to the university's radiation safety program by developing, implementing, and assessing its effectiveness. UCF’s Student Success and Well-Being Recreation and Wellness Center is seeking applicants for an Athletic Training and Risk Management Coordinator I. This position is primarily responsible for assisting in the daily operation of the Recreation and Wellness Center's Athletic Training Program and Risk Management efforts. Conduct interviews with current and former CWEP enrollees to garner feedback on the program as well as gauge interest on who would be interested in participating with recruiting events.
Utilize social media profiles to market the program (Facebook, lnstagram) and collaborate with the Career Services team regarding other online opportunities (i.e. Reddit/AMAs).
Present virtually or in-person for classroom presentations and events as a guest speaker.
Plan, coordinate, and facilitate networking events and opportunities for current CWEP students to promote the culture of the program.
