The main responsibilities of this role include the delivery and assessment of high quality learning programmes in Childcare, across a range of levels of Further Education and Higher Education, as well as undertaking a range of programme leadership, tutorial and programme administration duties.

This post requires a strong background in Childcare and the candidate must have proven track record of professional expertise in the Childcare sector.

The candidate must be qualified in a relevant field, hold a post-16 teaching qualification and English and maths qualifications at level 2, or be willing to achieve these within an agreed timeframe. It is desirable that the candidate has experience of effective programme leadership in FE and/or HE and has a proven track record of successful teaching and assessment practice.

An ability to self-manage workload, meet deadlines alongside strong oral and written communication skills and good IT skills are also essential. The hours of work will be flexible and may include evening and weekends according to demand. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Central Information Services Manager to lead and manage a team within the Central Information Service (CIS) at Newcastle College.

Reporting to the Head of Student and Curriculum Information Services, you will have responsibility of leading a team of Central Service Administrators and Finance Administrators at multiple locations.

Summary of main purpose of Role



To deliver an efficient and effective high performing CIS function, enabling cross college delivery to all customers as part of the faculty support function across Newcastle college and at offsite (satellite) locations.

To ensure that all College systems and processes are proactively and effectively managed, to ensure compliance and that of others within the team.

To develop/ support & deliver exceptional customer service and to drive high quality service delivery, within a very busy environment.

Act as project lead or representative on behalf of the CIS Team in developing & implementing cross college systems and procedures and support within faculties.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced marketing professional to join Kidderminster College as a Marketing Officer.

The Vacancy

Lewisham College, part of NCG Group is looking to recruit a talented Additional Learning Support Manager. Based at our Lewisham College site, close to St John’s station, the successful candidate will work under the leadership of the Assistant Principal –Learner Experience.

The main purpose of the role is to lead on the provision of support for students who have additional learning needs or a disability in the wider setting. This includes leading a support team, being responsible for support provision and close working with Curriculum Teams to ensure student needs are met.

The role will also involve leading on the provision of support to specific learners and providing advice and guidance on specific disabilities or special education needs.

The main duties of the post holder are:

To lead a specialist and dedicated team of Learning support professionals that have a demonstrable impact upon student progression, retention and success
To be responsible and accountable for the successful operation of the ALS team and to deliver good value for money
To ensure the College is compliant with current and relevant Standards and Guidelines for all aspects of ALS, e.g. assessments, exams, EHCPs, SEND, classroom support
To manage and monitor the budget for learning support and liaise with LA’s and the College finance department and to ensure the ALS provision is cost effective and commensurate with the College’s allocation
To have an excellent understanding of the funding rules and conditions as they apply to ALS including those with EHCP
To provide an efficient, confidential and knowledgeable ALS funding coordination.
To be the key link between Student Services, IT Services, MIS and the Skills Funding Agency.
To be the key link to the quality, finance, HR and data collection processes of the College in order to supply accurate and comprehensive data to the College systems.

About Newcastle Sixth Form College

Newcastle Sixth Form College is the largest Sixth Form College in the region, with over 1,300 students and around 100 dedicated staff, providing a wide range of A Levels. The College opened in 2013 and offers a dedicated A-Level campus in the heart of Newcastle’s city centre.

The Vacancy

We require enthusiastic and committed Learning Coaches to join our Supported Learning department to develop the learners' English and Maths skills. You will support learners to become more confident with their English and Maths and where appropriate to pass Functional Skills exams.

Skills and confidence with English and/or Maths is essential plus an enthusiasm for learning which is communicated to our learners.

Lewisham College has a large Supported Learning department with courses ranging from Pre-Entry complex needs to Supported Internships.
