LeClare seeks an experienced and qualified Music Programme Director who is warm and passionate about inspiring young children to develop an interest in Music. You will be expected to come up with your own music and movement curriculum, to impart musicality to children during lessons and enrichment classes.

Responsibilities are as below:

• Plan and conduct age-appropriate, fun and educational music & movement activities for children from 18 months to 6 years old, related to the curriculum theme
• Set up and maintain a conducive environment to help children discover their creativity and nurture their appreciation for music
• Choreograph and stage Year End musical Concert to showcase learning progress
• Effective communication with parents is mandatory as we value parents as educators too
• Build music enrichment classes, you will be expected to do hands-on teaching initially such as ukulele, guitar, vocals, and keyboard/piano

Requirements:

• Possess relevant qualifications in Music, skilled in vocal or at least two instruments, with piano/keyboard being one of them
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in teaching young children music, preferably in a preschool environment

Responsibilities of the principal includes below:

Strategic Leadership of the School

• Formulate overall strategic direction of the school and ensure it is aligned with the brand’s strategic goals and targets
• Plan, revise, present and implement the school’s plans (long term and short term) according to the school’s development

Overall Management of the School

• Ensure daily smooth operation of school and manpower (ensure teacher to children ratio) in accordance to child care and other associated regulation (staff scheduling)
• Establish, review and align SOP to align to the brand’s SOP as well as regulatory needs such as Health and Safety Policies
• Maintain and organise school's physical condition with the Team to maximise children’s’ learning or for aesthetic reasons

Staff Management

• Understand the Team’s struggles in daily operations and provide mentorship in different aspects such as effective communication with parents and children management
• Lead and be at the heart of the Team to unite the team based on trust and confidence
• Effectively communicate with the Team to nudge them in a quality direction and be firm when situations call for it
• Work Closely with HR Business Partner to plan projection of staffing requirements and other HR policies
• Involved in selection and recruitment of staffing

Curriculum Management

• Provide leadership to the team for a quality early childhood curriculum design, development and implementation in collaboration with our curriculum specialist
• Coach and support teachers to monitor, assess, document and maintain evaluation and assessment of children’s learning and development
• Plan and monitor staff development such as staff’s continuing professional development (CPD).
• Assist in teaching on an ad hoc basis, where required

A dynamic connection with parents and community:

• Establish and maintain positive, timely and effective communication with parents and the school community to build strong relationships with existing and prospective parents
• Interact with prospective parents efficiently such as to conduct tours
• Actively involved in admission process of new children
• Collaborate with marketing team to develop strategies and achieve target children enrolment

Requirements:

• A recognised Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education – Leadership (DECCE-L), or its equivalent. A Bachelor or Master’s in Early Childhood Care and Education would be an advantage
• At least 4 years teaching experience in a pre-school with at least 3 years’ experience in a leadership role
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Passionate about children or the job scope of a principal
• Up to date with government regulations (Child Care Act and Regulation), curriculum framework (Nurturing Early Learners, Early Years Development Framework), quality assurance framework (SPARK)

Responsibilities:

• Reporting to the Principal, the infant/ toddler teacher is responsible for the care, supervision and management of a class of infants/toddlers in accord with the goals and curriculum plan of the centre
• Develop and deliver the programs for the 2-36 months old infant/toddler based on the curriculum framework;
• Build a good relationship with children and parents;
• Plan and carry out the daily programme, development and care giving tasks assigned
• Observe and assess infant’s developmental growth, learning and development of infants and toddlers through interactive and stimulating experience.
• Equip children with life skills and cultivate values that will prepare them to be lifelong learners.
