Please note you will be part of an out-of-hours, on-call team to deal with journalist enquiries. Managing reactive media enquiries and issues when on the rota across traditional and social media.
The salary range for this role is set at £ £42,200-£60,600
We are looking for candidates within the salary range of up to £50,000

About the role:
The External Communications team is responsible for all aspects of the external communications strategy for the Partnership and its two brands. Our clear ambition for communications: to be the conscience of the business and champion of the brands.
This business purpose is brought to life through the role of communications and campaigning. With communications disciplines that work effectively with other business departments to ensure integration of communications across the company, working together for maximum impact.
This is brought to life across multiple fronts, with a communications programme that leverages progressive business initiatives, builds celebratory feel-good moments, campaigns with passion from a position of strength, scale and responsibility, maintains a drumbeat of positive storytelling, and works hard to mitigate potential risks. Activity must continue to reach multiple audiences, amplifying and deepening customer marketing activity and messaging delivered above the line.
As Senior Communications Officer you will plan and deliver multiple successful and proactive lifestyle campaigns alongside being the first line response to many incoming issues and opportunities in the team. Therefore you are required to work in a fast, busy and agile environment. Working closely with key internal stakeholders and the media is crucial in managing launches, features, opportunities and delivering successful PR and influencer campaigns, whilst maintaining fantastic media and influencer relationships.
Key responsibilities:
Work with the Senior Comms Manager to plan and develop PR activity across the John Lewis brand and categories within the Department Store side of the business including Fashion, Beauty and Home as well as all customer facing activity and services.
Collaborate across the business to ensure that we are telling a department store story and putting out the key category messages.
Conceptualise, organise and deliver excellent media and influencer events with brilliant attention to detail
Devise and deliver seasonal influencer campaigns to drive relevance, reputation and ROI.
Maintain an informed opinion and up to date knowledge of the external industry that impacts upon us particularly in Fashion, Beauty and Home. Support strategic planning by gathering external insight to build a media picture . Use awareness to make informed decisions and suggestions about communications risks and opportunities.
Creatively minded, able to come up with brilliant ideas for stories that can cut-through in a busy marketplace.
Work with the Senior Manager to influence how John Lewis is perceived, identifying key knowledge of activity and driving success in these.
Deliver an excellent, thorough and timely service to journalists in response to their enquiries and become a go to person for the media when responding to their queries
Manage the process of each campaign from brief through to evaluation, through close collaboration with the team.
Develop and maintain a network of external stakeholders including journalists, opinion formers, influencers and suppliers.
Essential skills you’ll need:
Significant in-house or agency PR experience
An established pool of lifestyle media and influencer relationships
Experience creating and delivering PR and influencer campaigns and running events
Experience writing and negotiating influencer contracts and evaluation metrics
Experienced copywriter and confident in writing press releases
Excellent attention to detail and ability to work at pace on multiple projects in a high pressured environment
Desirable skills you’ll have:
Knowledge of products and trends across all categories (by categories we mean fashion, beauty and home)
Experience using omniture and onclusive
Excel skills and GPS trained
Experience with VIP dressing

About the role:
You will be responsible for ensuring the warehouse is supporting all the Partnership channels by handling stock coming in to and being sent out of the warehouse.
Performing tasks of unloading and loading stock, accurately recording deliveries into the warehouse, moving stock around the warehouse and collecting stock for deliveries. All these duties to be performed in a safe manner with an awareness of individual responsibility for health and safety at all times. Please note that this role involves heavy lifting.
Within this Warehouse Operative role there will be scope to advance your career as a Porter or Driver.
Job Requirements:
Applicants should have the ability to deliver excellent customer service and seek for growth in all they do. The role requires a flexible approach; there will be times when you will be supporting the selling floor and other areas of the branch to meet the business needs.

What will you be doing?

This position is a 12 month fixed term contract, which will start in May 2024 and conclude in May 2025.
About the role
Do you have an inquisitive mind, enjoy solving problems and want exposure to leaders from across the business? If so, we have a great opportunity for you to join our team as a Senior Internal Auditor, for a 12 month fixed term contract.
As a Senior Internal Auditor, you will provide independent objective assurance to the Audit & Risk Committee through the delivery of Internal Audits. You will support the Partnership to accomplish its objectives by bringing a systematic approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control and governance processes through assurance and advisory reviews designed to protect assets, add value, and improve the Partnership’s operations.
You will assist in delivering audits and work directly with leaders across the Partnership. You will support the planning and execution of audits within the internal audit plan and perform internal audit testing to the highest standard across all areas of the Partnership and facilitate the closure of audit reports.
You will act with an independent mind and demonstrate an ability to draw objective, logical and fit for purpose conclusions and support research and improvement initiatives to identify and understand changes in the internal and external risk profile.
You will assist in drafting high quality, clear and concise audit reports and participate in improvements to the departments auditing practices, methods, procedures and documentation.
Day to day you will:
● Provide independent objective assurance to the Audit & Risk Committee through the delivery of Internal Audits.
● Support delivery of high quality, clear and concise audit reports to support the delivery of Internal Audit’s plan.
● Support the design of improvements to Internal Audit’s auditing practices, methods, procedures, documentation and quality.

Essential skills you’ll need
Professional accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA or equivalent), Chartered Internal Audit qualification or IT qualification (eg COBIT / ITTL / PRINCE2/ CISA / MSP) (or equivalent experience)
Experience of leading audits, supporting the development of audit scoping documents, identifying key risks and controls and building testing programmes
Proven ability to write accurate and informed reports
Desirable
Experience of large scale multi-site and/or omnichannel retailing or FMCG

The pay range for this role is £10.42 - £11.48 per hour
Duties and Responsibilities:
As Partners - members of the Partnership - it's our responsibility to ensure our growth for the future. Your enthusiasm for selling will enable you to provide guidance to customers on the Brand products. We'll equip you with the skills and knowledge to advise customers with confidence.
Job Requirements:
Your day will be varied, from delivering service with a smile at the till to inspiring our customers with the range of products located within your brands concession. You'll proactively engage with customers on the shop floor to ensure they find and fall in love with all of our products. Working with colleagues and managers you’ll turn customer conversations into sales.
Desirable experience skills and qualifications:
Previous experience of selling
Previous experience in a customer facing role
Previous merchandising experience
