About the team you are joining

Reporting to the Manager, Agency Settlement Risk, the incumbent will be responsible for executing the risk management process for the assigned countries within the Global Delivery Center (GDC).

What your day would be like

• Responsible to conduct the monthly monitoring of agents’ Financial Security amounts versus amount sales at risk.
• Coordinate Financial Review process for Passenger and Cargo Agents including review results, communicate with both Agents and the Global Financial Assessor and follow-up on results requirements.

Reporting to the Manager, Billing and Reporting, the incumbent will be part of the Billing Operations team responsible for providing technical/ system support to the day-to-day operations for the Billing & Settlement Plan (BSP), Cargo Accounts Settlement System (CASS) and the GDC team globally.

The Billing Operation‘s role is to ensure IATA’s on-time delivery and accuracy in Billing and Settlement output for both Passenger and Cargo services, and the high performance of the IATA BSP and CASS systems.You will be part of a broader team called Platform and Data Operations (PDO) that establishes the functional organization of FSDS platforms (which system best fits the operational needs to perform a specific business process) and coordinates the changes in those systems with a network of vendors and SMEs to ensure an orderly, quick and effective delivery to facilitate settlement services by other operational units.

Technical Support and Operations:

Reporting to the Director, Settlement Risk Management, the Head, Settlement Risk Management leads, develops and manages the Settlement Risk Management team in Singapore, responsible for the execution of the risk management activities related to Agencies, Airlines and Financial Security Providers in IATA Financial Settlement Systems. The position is responsible for assuring the secure operation and delivery of risk management services, in accordance to the global Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and the IATA Settlement Risk strategy and in line with the targets set by the organization and the industry, with strong internal controls, process integrity, continuous improvement and efficiency.

What your day would be like

• Responsible for the Agency and Financial Security Providers activities for companies based in Asia Pacific in addition to Airline Settlement Risk Management activities for companies in Asia Pacific and North Asia.
• Lead the Singapore-based Settlement Risk Management team to ensure all SOPs are executed in compliance and integrity adhering to IATA’s Financial Settlement Systems resolutions and regulations, global and local financial criteria and other risk assessment and mitigation policies and with the maximum operational process performance and efficiency in accordance to the established KPIs.

Reporting to the Regional Head of Sales Asia Pacific, the (Senior) Manager Industry Solutions – Training will be responsible for selling and promoting IATA training products/services to defined customer categories and prospects. They will be accountable for achieving the revenue targets and developing new business opportunities for the sales pipeline. In addition, they are the regional product specialist for IATA training.

What your day would be like

Reporting to the IT Manager and working alongside the Assistant Manager, ITS Service Desk, the Service Desk Officer belongs to the ASPAC ITS team and delivers Level 1 end-user support.

This is an entry-level position.

What your day would be like

• Resolve complex problems and implement practical solutions and workarounds.
• Focus on maintaining the IT environment (PC, printers and mobile phones) with a professional outlook and a service-oriented attitude.
• Provide Service Desk coverage during business hours for customers who are seeking assistance.
• Ensure the meticulous logging of all incoming incidents and service requests.
• Practise regular communication and service delivery via first-level software and hardware support.
• Escalate problems to other ITS teams, according to global procedures.
• Provide support with audio-visual equipment for meetings and conferences.
• Whilst focusing on the ASPAC region, provide remote support to users who are based in other time zones.
• Share your expertise with the team, whilst bringing a new and diverse point of view.
• On occasion, provide on-call and server support.

• You have a university degree in Information Technology or another relevant subject.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10 and Microsoft Office.
• Solid knowledge of multiple complex software packages, hardware and networks.
• Basic experience with user administration in Active Directory/Azure AD.
• The ability to remain calm, courteous and efficient in emergency situations.
• A strong customer focus, outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to function successfully in a global, multi-cultural environment.
• Empathetic, open-minded and driven.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English; knowledge of additional languages would be an asset.

About the team you are joining

Reporting to the Assistant Director External Affairs & Sustainability Asia-Pacific (EAS ASPAC), the incumbent will be required to manage/coordinate regional activities, initiatives, and targets related to the EAS ASPAC portfolio. In performing his/her duties, the incumbent will follow the guidelines from the Assistant Director and execute actions in close coordination with central divisions and local offices in the region. The incumbent will also work hand in hand with local and regional associations as required. The focus will be to work with governments, member airlines and other industry stakeholders to achieve IATA's objectives in the region on regulatory, and environment and sustainability matters.

What your day would be like

• Deliver IATA's objectives for the region, which may include aviation policy and regulations, environment and sustainability, and industry taxation matters;
• Promote IATA's policies, positions, objectives and activities amongst airlines, governments, regional organizations and other industry stakeholders;
• Plan and deliver IATA advocacy campaigns and engagements in coordination with the central divisions and local offices, aiming to have a more favorable regulatory environment in accordance to IATA, ICAO, and industry best practices and recommendations;
• Lead the regional effort for IATA to be the trusted source of industry data, including industry economic analyses to support IATA's engagement with member airlines and potential members in the region;
• Plan and coordinate IATA regional account management activities;
• Build and maintain an effective network among regional stakeholders including airlines, airports, civil aviation authorities, regulators, governments, and regional associations, and ensuring their alignment and support for IATA lobbying and advocacy endeavors;
• Represent IATA at internal and external workshops, seminars, and events aimed at educating and influencing key regional industry stakeholders and the public;
• Be on top of industry-related developments in the region, taking or recommending actions which are consistent with IATA's policies and objectives;
• Work closely with central divisions and other teams in regional office on all cross-functional areas to build, maintain and support strong stakeholder management with airlines, regulators and other stakeholders to support EAS ASPAC activities;
• Support the achievement of IATA revenue-generating targets through promotion of IATA products and services and creating leads for the commercial team;
• Any other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the Assistant Director from time to time.

• You have a university degree in Business Administration, International Relations, Political Science, Economics;
• Minimum of 10 years of working experience with at least 5 years' working experience in Asia-Pacific;
• Aviation and international relations experience is essential;
• Excellent track record in working with external stakeholders with a strong awareness of airline industry issues, trends and priorities;
• Good knowledge of aviation environment and sustainability matters will be an advantage;
• Highly motivated with proven teamwork abilities;
• A self-starter with proven ability to proactively engage internal and external stakeholders to make progress on work goals;
• Excellent communication skills with demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders with diplomacy;
• Experience in making clear presentations and preparing industry analyses and reports based on technical merits and facts;
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, and fluent in both written and spoken English. Other languages would be an asset.
