We are currently recruiting for a full-time (40 hours) Tenant Involvement and Empowerment Officer. This role will drive delivery of Humbercare’s Tenant Involvement and Empowerment Strategy, including provision of a range of involvement methods ensuring our tenants and service users have opportunities to get involved, at a level that suits them, to help develop, shape and monitor our services and policies.
The main responsibilities include:
· Ensuring that housing services are provided in a way that is innovative, and that actively encourages tenant involvement and empowerment.
· Ensuring that all Humbercare housing services provide choice, information and communication that is appropriate to the diverse including complex needs of all tenants and service users, ensuring this incorporates the principles of equal opportunities.
· Ensuring that all tenants and service users have opportunities to be involved in the formulation of organisational policies and key decisions around how housing services are delivered and performance managed.
· Ensuring that all tenants and service users understand how they can access services, the standards that they can expect, the responsibilities of themselves and Humbercare and what the arrangements are for tenant and service user involvement and scrutiny.
· Supporting the formation and activities of tenant and service user panels or equivalent groups to seek scrutiny, support tenant and service user governance and to provide service performance information.
· Leading on formal Complaints received ensuring they are listened to, investigated, and responded to in a timely and fair manner .
Salary - £26,226.89 p.a.
