The Head of Business Operations will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth functioning of all trade operational aspects of the organization. This role requires a blend of strategic planning, meticulous execution, and effective leadership to perform business operations and enhance operational efficiency.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with the business objectives.

· Streamline operational workflows, roles, and responsibilities of operators to enhance efficiency and minimize operational errors.

· Do and oversee the entire supply chain process from sourcing to delivery of oil and pet-chem products cargo, payments, and demurrage.

· Work with traders and charterers to seamlessly integrate the operations.

· Monitor and assess operational risks, implementing controls and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards.

· Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost optimization.

· Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, vendors, and asset personnel.

· Analyze market trends, customer/supplier needs, asset requirements, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for operational efficiencies and growth.

· Negotiating and finalizing contracts post deals and evaluating contract performances to ensure contractual obligations.

· Lead and mentor a team of operational professionals, and foster a culture of growth, accountability, and teamwork.

· Conduct regular performance reviews and facilitate training programs to enhance team capabilities.

Skills & Competencies:

· Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in an oil/pet-chem business company.

· Knowledge of trade agreements, regulatory requirements, and industry standards related to oil/chems trading.

· Actual cargo operations experience for the entire value chain.

· Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.

· Strong understanding of supply chain, logistics, and procurement processes.

· Proactive and good problem-solving skills. Ability to identify potential supply chain issues and propose relevant solutions.

· Excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written.

· High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

· Qualification in supply chain management, operations management, or related domains will be an added advantage.

· Speaking knowledge of Indian language will be an added advantage.

The charterer will support the physical CPP/Chem traders on commercial vessel operations across CPP and chem products.

Duties & Responsibilities:

· Fixing CPP (LRs and MRs) and Chemical vessels for physical trade deals done by the traders.

· Manage shipping-related matters such as vessel nominations, vessel fixtures, voyage orders, pre-fixing and post-fixing vessel operations, freight optimization etc.

· Carry out pre-fixing main terms and charter party terms negotiation with the vessel owner/broker.

· Communication with respective internal departments to provide assurance and control on trade processes and procedures.

· Liaise with external parties such as trade counterparts, inspectors, agents, STS providers, ship brokers/owners, terminals, and internal departments to ensure smooth vessel chartering procedure.

· Establish good working relationships with counterparties, alongside internal and external stakeholders.

· Coordinate and communicate with various news agencies/brokerage houses for freight market updates and freight forecasts.

· Demurrage claim management and claim negotiation with all related parties.

· Ensure in-house systems and databases are updated in a timely manner.

Skills & Competencies:

· Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in a trading/owner/broker house.

· Good knowledge of the vessel market, especially the CPP market, in terms of world scales, TC routes, LRs, MRs, and product/chemical tankers.

· Proactive and good problem-solving skills. Ability to identify potential supply chain issues and propose relevant solutions.

· Must possess and demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment on a local and global level.

· Excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written.

· High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

· An educational background in the maritime industry will be an added advantage.

· Speaking knowledge of the Indian language and Indian Maritime regulations will be an added advantage.

The Business Developer will work closely with the wider teams to build new commodity business lines for the company. New Commodity lines are Phenol and Acetone, and may also include Toluene, Methanol, and MEG.

Duties & Responsibilities

· To develop a summary of the commodity balance and the market dynamics.

· To develop market entry strategy for the commodities, and a road map from start to delivery.

· Establish relationships with counterparties and originate buy/sell deals in the international market, both on spot and term basis.

· Reach out to market countries and establish a distribution model if the commodity business requires.

· Integrate and align with the India team the purchase of Phenol cargo for delivery to India with the infrastructure capability built in India to receive and distribute the material.

· Once the business flow is set up, develop a trading strategy and scale up the business.

· P&L responsibility for the physical business.

· Assist the risk management team in managing the exposure including the use of derivatives.

· Support the analytics team in building analytical models.

· Support the Operations team in building the SOP and training them on handling new commodities.

Skills & Competencies:

· Minimum 6 years of relevant business experience in a similar role in a pet-chem industry, with at least 2 years in Phenol business.

· Aptitude for originating and marketing.

· Ability to work from strategy to execution of deals.

· Analytical skills and an eye for detail. Good communicator.

· Having good business relationships and the ability to grow them.

· Independent, autonomous work attitude who is self-motivated and confident to challenge both supervisors and peers.

· High proficiency in EXCEL spreadsheet, Word, PowerPoint, etc.

Job Requirements:

• As Risk Manager, you are responsible for identifying, analysing, assessing and developing mitigating strategies for the potential risks that could impact an organization’s financial stability, reputation and operations.
• Measure and report the market risk exposure of the firm using a variety of tools including, sensitivity analysis, scenarios, Value at Risk (VaR)
• Product control, produce and report daily P&L and exposures
• Develop, together with trading desk, forward curve of the commodities
• Design market and credit risk policy
• Ensure compliance with the relevant laws, regulations and industry best practices
• Work closely with front and back office relating to shipping and operation matters, trading plans, hedging plans
• Work closely with Chartering teams and asset management to provide risk insights and recommendations for portfolio optimisation
• Develop and implement risk management frameworks, methodologies, and models for portfolio management.
• Work closely with the IT team to identify software needs and develop solutions including CTRM to enhance the risk management
• Plan and conduct risk assessment periodically to ensure risk scorecards are up to date

Candidate Requirements:

• Degree/Masters with strong mathematical inclination
• Minimum 6 years’ experience in a similar role, in a trading environment
• Excellent with numbers, with good problem-solving and analytical skills
• Risk managers need to effectively communicate with stakeholders including senior management, employees, and external partners, to ensure that everyone is aware and aligned
• Experience in drafting and implementation of policies and procedures, and strong understanding of risk framework
