Position Summary:
Fort Lewis College seeks a culture-builder and retention expert to serve as the Director of the Skyhawk Station & Advising. The Director leads the Skyhawk Station – an office with the dual purpose of providing exceptional front-line service to students at the one-stop-shop and serving as the academic advising office for lower division undergraduate students. The primary purpose of the one-stop is to provide integrated student services regarding Financial Aid, Student Accounts and Registrar. The Skyhawk Advising Team provides professional advising in a high-touch caseload management model for all undergraduate students with less than 60 credits. The Director role requires strong leadership, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders to improve the efficiency and quality of student services. The Director is also responsible for coordinating outreach and communication to continuing students, managing personnel, ensuring data security, and implementing continuous improvements to enhance the student experience. This position reports to the Dean of Enrollment Management.Job Description:
Strategy and Policy Development:
Develop and articulate the strategic vision for the Skyhawk Station one-stop, focusing on enhancing student services efficiently.
Collaborate with stakeholders to formulate and implement proactive policies and procedures.
Lead internal and external communications for the registrar, financial aid, and student accounts in a proactive manner and collaborate with respective offices to disseminate information quickly. This includes developing a comprehensive communication plan along with managing the Skyhawk Station’s website and informational brochures.
Serve as liaison between Enrollment Management units, academic departments, Student Affairs, and Student Accounts in all One-Stop-related initiatives and facilitate communication and collaboration among these units.
Assist the Dean of Enrollment Management in developing, evaluating, interpreting, and enforcing academic, student billing, and enrollment management policies, procedures, and strategies; serve as an authoritative source of such information.
Make and approve decisions which may establish or alter policies, procedures, or operations.
Participate in relevant student services-focused campus committees.
Work with the Dean of Enrollment Management, President, Provost, and other campus leadership to develop an enrollment plan and the strategies and tactics necessary to execute on that plan.
Operations Management:
Manage day-to-day Skyhawk Station operations, ensuring effective addressing of student and parent needs.
Continually evaluate policies, performance data, programs, and services of the department to ensure compliance, quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of operations.
Efficiently handle escalations from staff.
Oversee technology improvements aligned with the Skyhawk Station mission.
Develop and maintain office policies and procedures.
Identify and address potential enrollment barriers related to business processes.
Navigate confidential student information across multiple systems securely.
Ensure compliance with the Federal Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
Manage budget and approve operating expenses in accordance with College policies.
Effectively utilize college resources in accomplishing goals by planning, developing, and managing the departmental budget.
Personnel Management:
Develop a competent, productive, and effective staff by hiring, supervising (directly or through delegation) 14 staff in the Skyhawk Station
Train and develop staff to ensure their success, including providing assessment and feedback for continuous improvement.
Foster an office environment that empowers staff to provide exceptional service to students, provide solutions, and innovate for equity, efficiency, and student-centered practices.
Facilitate a work environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for, and development of skills to engage with those of other cultures or backgrounds.
Perform other duties as required, assigned by the Dean of Enrollment Management
Compensation
The salary range for this position is $70,000 to $78,000 plus a comprehensive benefits package.

This is a permanent, part-time position, working mid-Aug through mid-May with summers off. The Mental Health Counselor works closely with a supportive team who are responsible for responding to the mental health and wellness needs of the diverse student body at Fort Lewis College, a Native American-serving institution located in Durango, Colorado. The Counseling Center also offers a robust clinical training program for graduate-level counseling and social work interns to learn to become mature, experienced, and self-aware in the application of counseling skills. Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Demonstrate commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and experience working with broadly diverse communities.
Provide culturally responsive individual, couples, and group therapy to college students, through both scheduled appointments and open/drop-in formats.
Conduct mental health triage, and crisis assessment and intervention work to include possible after-hours emergency services.
Conduct behavioral assessments, including follow-up counseling with students.
Provide mental health consultation for parents, staff, and faculty.
Supervise and facilitate training of graduate level mental health trainees.
Provide outreach programming, mental health workshops, and consultations to campus community.
Participate in regular clinical supervision as well as supervision of supervision.
Keep accurate and timely computerized records on all contacts with and on behalf of clients.
Develop and maintain relationships and collaborate with campus departments and community partners.
Participate in departmental and campus community meetings/events/committees as appropriate and requested by the Director.
Maintain all relevant ethical, legal, and professional standards of practice for the State of Colorado.
Maintain knowledge and awareness of digital accessibility including the American with Disabilities Act and Section 508 and produce and remediate digitally accessible materials in accordance with FLC standards.

Required Education, Specialized Skills and Experience
Demonstrated extensive involvement with, and understanding of Native American, Black, Latinx and/or LGBTQIA+ communities.
Master’s Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy or Mental Health Related Field.
Licensed as mental health professional in the state of Colorado (provisional CO license ok if eligible for full licensure within 2 years) OR fully licensed in another state and able to obtain CO licensure within 1 month of start date.
Demonstrated experience providing therapy to individuals, groups and/or couples (graduate-level clinical internship experience ok.)
Preferred Education, Specialized Skills and Experience
Two to three years post-master's experience in mental health counseling.
Experience in providing supervision and consultation to mental health trainees.
Substance use disorder treatment experience.
Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with and respond to multiple constituencies both at the college and in the community.
Ability and willingness to contribute to a team-oriented work environment.
Demonstrated abilities in leadership, openness and flexibility.
Personal skills of stress tolerance, non-defensiveness and ability to receive and respond to feedback.
Organizational and computer skills to manage timely and appropriate documentation.
Fluency in Spanish or Native American language.
Reports To / Supervisory Responsibility
This position reports to the Director of the Counseling Center.
If fully licensed, Mental Health Counselor is responsible for clinical supervision of at least one graduate-level intern.

Position Summary:
The Community Service Officer’s (CSO) primary responsibility is to ensure that drivers comply with Fort Lewis College’s parking regulations and issue citations for violations. Under general supervision, patrols campus to ensure compliance with FLC’s parking regulations, aids motorists with tasks such as jump-starting vehicles, transports department documents, and collects parking meter and parking kiosk revenue. Position Summary:
The Farmer Training Program focuses on three areas: running a productive farm, providing an educational experience for Farmers In Training, and providing a space for reconciliation and healing. The two Harvest and Field Managers plays a key role in running a productive farm and bears primary responsibility for harvest and post-harvest processing; propagation; outdoor succession plantings in the Education Garden; and overall care of the Education Garden. Position Summary:
This is a full-time, nine-month, tenure-track position in the Department of Geosciences at Fort Lewis College. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses across the flourishing GIS Certificate Program, and help to coordinate the program, advise certificate-seeking students, and engage in research or applications of GIS. Fort Lewis College has a site license for ESRI’s ArcGIS software suite, numerous well-appointed computer labs, and ample equipment to support research and data collection (e.g., survey-grade GPS units, multiple UAVs, and abundant field equipment).
