Summary of Responsibilities:
Assist with performing searches to identify research collaborations; develop and maintain a research expertise database.
Conduct funding opportunity searches for university units and faculty members when requested, regularly disseminate funding opportunities to university departments/units, process updates to GrantForward.
Serve as primary point of contact for limited submission functions, inclusive of responding to inquiries, tracking internal applications, and verifying completeness, disseminating limited submission opportunities to the university community, communicating with reviewers and calendaring for reviews, notifying research teams of limited submission decisions.
Coordinate research-related event planning, reaching out to potential speakers, submitting tickets for event space, food orders, tables, chairs, IT/AV, working with Research Communications to advertise events, preparing materials, creating calendar invitations for event stakeholders, ensuring that honorariums are processed for speakers, and other related event planning functions.
For competitive internal research programs, reach out to potential review panel members to gauge interest and schedule, advertise programs, verify that application submissions are complete and accurate, disseminate and collect reviews, prepare acceptance letters, and maintain database of guidelines.
For large multi-unit and institutional (Division of Research) proposals, create timelines to keep proposals on track; organize team meetings; research team questions; format letters of support, biosketches, broader impacts, and similar sections; proofread text as needed; ensure adherence to proposal guidelines and assist with submission to the Office of Sponsored Programs for final review and submission to sponsor.
Edit grant proposals to enhance clarity and competitiveness; review fonts, margins, page limits, etc., to ensure compliance with guidelines.
Assist with updates to university boilerplates.
Support the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs’ functions and activities, assisting with reaching out to postdocs, scheduling events, and communicating with hiring units.
Update office policies as needed, set up meetings with other Division of Research or university units, compile office metrics, gather data for reports, update office Canvas site content and extend invitations to join the site, work with Research Communications on office branding requests.
Other job-related duties as assigned.

Florida Atlantic University is seeking Police Service Technicians - Davie, FL.
Patrol assigned areas of campus; secure and unlock campus buildings as needed; check for unsecured conditions; assist public in those buildings; verify affiliation of occupants of buildings after hours; report all suspicious activity discovered; assist public with information and direction; provide a campus crime prevention function during rounds by advising department or persons of unsafe or unsecured conditions.
Patrol parking lots and walkways as a safety guard; issue citations as warranted for parking and decal violations; direct traffic when necessary; assist in special event parking and direction; report safety hazards; report all conditions that are or could create safety or security problems.

Assisting Lab Supervisor in maintaining safety equipment/materials required for laboratory courses.
Coordinating proper storage of chemical and biological waste on site for disposal by Environmental Health and Safety and maintenance of associated records.
Helping to maintain a clean, safe working environment in compliance with EH&S at all times.
Coordinating assigned lab sections by implementing departmental policies related to laboratory courses and schedules, aiding Lab Supervisor with laboratory safety training(s), and meeting with assigned TA team on a weekly basis.

Summary of Responsibilities:
Production Manager (“PM”) of the Carole and Barry Kaye Auditorium will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day technical operations of a 2,400 seat performing arts theatre in the heart of Florida Atlantic University's Boca Raton Campus located within the Student Union. The PM selects, trains, supervises and evaluates part-time and student staff necessary to carry out the mission of the unit. Responsible for the development and implementation of Auditorium policies and procedures and for interpreting administrative policy for users of the Auditorium. The Production Manager serves as the primary technical liaison with users of the Auditorium, including academic and administrative departments, student organizations and community external customers. This role will assist the Event Planning team in providing potential clients with walkthroughs, scheduling, and show builds. It will also provide technical support to Florida Atlantic Student Union for large scale events as needed. This role must be able to function independently and professionally in the assigned areas. The Auditorium is a part of the Student Union area, which in turn, is a working unit of the Division of Student Affairs at Florida Atlantic University (“FAU”).
Focused Areas of Responsibility:
Provide oversight and supervision for the part-time and student technical staff in providing high level production to promoters, community groups, academic units and other departments, as well as student organizations.
Serve as the technical director for all live events including overseeing stage management, lighting, video and sound.
Must advise and mentor student employees and organizations on proper and effective methods of show-running and production.
Maintain integrity of the hall by inventorying, testing, and replacing all technical equipment as needed.
Advances shows with student organizations, departments, and community groups in a timely manner.
Provide stage plots, logistics, and guidance on stage builds for all shows.
Must maintain a thorough knowledge of state and university policies and regulations as they relate to facilities management and personnel management.
Develop and administer an annual facility maintenance and repair schedule. A proactive environment is preferred.
Develop and implement budgets and spend plans for the unit.
Develop and implement outcomes and assessment measures, goals and objectives.
Inspect facilities for safety hazards, security issues and other liability concerns as required.
Prepare and coordinate proposals for the minor project teams.
Assists with audio visual in the Student Union when requested.
Performs essential duties in any emergencies such as hurricanes, storms and/or other University emergency closings. Is expected to be available to work as needed during University emergency closing with appropriate notification of a department administrator.
