The role of Global ESG Reporting Manager is a unique opportunity to join our company as a key contributor to the company’s sustainability reporting efforts, helping to achieve greater environmental, social, and governance (ESG) transparency and disclosure. Central to Cushman & Wakefield’s ESG performance is its Corporate ESG Team which collaborates with stakeholders from across the organization to build and execute on key ESG strategy. Reporting to the Global ESG Director, the Global ESG Reporting Manager will play a pivotal role in leading the company's ESG reporting strategy, overseeing the development, implementation, and communication of our ESG performance. The role will partner closely with Cushman & Wakefield’s Sustainability team as well as key business functions (Marketing and Communications, Controllership, Internal Audit, Human Resources, DE&I, etc.) to support and propel our sustainability ambitions by collecting, compiling, analyzing and reporting our sustainability performance accurately and transparently.
Responsibilities include:
o Manage the ESG reporting and disclosure processes end-to-end, orchestrating efforts across a cross-functional team of subject matter experts to collect and share data about the Company’s ESG actions; verifying report metrics; collecting, editing and summarizing content; and driving report promotion and distribution.
o Drive the internal collection of accurate ESG-related data including data validation and assurance processes within critical timelines; manage the ESG reporting platform and metrics database.
o Share leadership responsibility for the formulation of Cushman & Wakefield’s enterprise-level strategy for regulatory ESG disclosure requirements by ensuring alignment with applicable regulatory reporting standards including in the U.S. (SEC and state level), U.K. (ISSB) and EU (CSRD).
o Lead Cushman & Wakefield’s voluntary ESG reporting efforts (especially its annual ESG Report and CDP response) including project management, drafting reports, data collection, managing third-party consultants, and managing stakeholder involvement.
o Ensure full alignment to established ESG reporting frameworks, including GRI, SASB, UNGC, UN SDGs, and TCFD.
o Lead Cushman & Wakefield’s engagement with and response to third-party ESG assessment providers such as Ecovadis, S&P, UNGC, ISS, and others
o Communicate the organization’s ESG performance to internal and external stakeholders through presentations, reports, and other communication materials.
o Engage with internal and external stakeholders for ESG matters, queries and one-off reporting including client-facing requests such as RFPs, pitches and client requests; Investor Relations, Marketing and Communications, Research, DE&I, Corporate Real Estate and others managing ESG engagement needs.
o Serve as the internal expert on Cushman & Wakefield’s ESG reporting practices, performance, and benchmarking – applying and communicating this information, in a variety of scenarios, for analysis as needed.
o Evaluate systems and interpret data trends and performance metrics to identify potential opportunities for improvement and other efficiencies/synergies with other enterprise systems.
o Bring company recognition and drive reputation by identifying, participating in, and applying for awards, surveys and rankings that focus on the company’s ESG initiatives; leverage award and recognition opportunities to internally advocate for business change that will enhance the impact of the company’s commitments.
o Stay abreast of evolving ESG regulations, industry trends, and best practices. Ensure the company's ESG practices comply with regulatory requirements and maintain proper governance structures.
Job Qualifications:
· Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate sustainability or ESG, corporate governance or related field.
· Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as sustainability, environmental sciences, business, finance, or a related discipline.
· Strong experience in ESG reporting and disclosure, sustainability practices, and the relevant regulations and standards in different regions, including SEC, UK, CSRD, and other relevant frameworks.
· Excellent writing and verbal presentation skills, with the ability to distill and communicate complex details and data into consumable insights.
· Proven project management skills and the ability to juggle multiple tasks & competing priorities while working effectively with cross-functional teams, particularly in the context of ESG reporting and initiatives.
· Comprehensive understanding of sustainability reporting frameworks such as GRI (Global Reporting Initiative), CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project), and other relevant standards.
· Demonstrated successes with corporate operations/governance of an ESG/Sustainability program or related.
