The Solution Architect provides advisory for customer's current network architecture and future architecture need based on industrial trending and practical knowledge, network consultancy, design, implementation and support to help customers enhance their network availability and functionality to achieve their business goals. Activities will include in-depth analysis, design (both for high and lower level network solutions), deployment, support and consultancy. The role holder will be "Cisco's face to the customer as a trusted advisor", working in a fast-paced, high-impact environment as a visible contributor delivering our commitments.

• Engaged early for large presales opportunities from Customer Experience side for assigned Top account, encouraged to have a deep understanding of Customer's Business Objectives, challenges, and work with internal collaborators for driving the sales strategy.
• Trusted Advisor and Solution Design Leader, able to articulate complex solutions to executive (C-level) customer contacts both on a technical and business level.
• Rich industrial knowledge and practical experience, especially in FSI, familiar with industrial trending and landscape for future.
• Has knowledge of business and technology trends within the industry and Cisco customer base.
• Able to learn and lead Cross Architectural consultant, Assessing customer current network architecture in different domains and able to provide recommendations to the gaps, Advise customer on potential future architecture.
• Leads and incubates new end-to-end services around products and solutions.
• Provides pre-sales support and scoping in multiple technologies.
• To support on the service delivery and network solution design, implementation.
• Drives all phases of project delivery including plan, design, network staging, implementation, migration, testing, handover, etc.

Who You'll Work With

You will collaborate with the extended Customer Experience and Account Teams, including Sales, Business Units, Business Development Managers, Technical Teams, and Support Services, to expand each account into a major Cisco customer.

Who You Are

• Possess over a decade of experience in technology-related fields.
• Achieves and maintains relevant certifications (e.g., CCIE / CCDE, VCP, VCDX, Specialist Certifications, other industry-leading certifications, AWS, Azure, GCP, RHCE).
• Proficiency in Data Center architectures, including virtualization, experience in planning, design & implementation.
• Well-versed in ACI / DC Virtualization / WAN/LAN Networking / Software Defined Access / Software Defined WAN technology domain
• Well-versed in SDx(SDA, SD-WAN), prefer to have practical project experience
• Strong believer and executer of automation, solid understanding and experience on Java, Linux, Python, Virtualization, OpenStack, Kubernetes, Container.
• Public / Private Cloud experience and knowledge is a plus

What You'll Do

Support aspects of Campus, WAN/LAN Networking / Security and Data Center technology domain from requirements capture/definition through customer.
Interpret client needs, assess the full requirements, and identify suitable solutions.
Input to cost/timescale solutions/options and handle expectations as appropriate with the customer.
Support on the service delivery and network solution implementation.
Support and troubleshooting service for the network infrastructure related incidents and problems.
Produce architectural network designs for large-scale networks.
Assist customer with deployment of sophisticated network tools and related Network
Build simulated networks in test labs to validate the design and solution
Provide remote or onsite deployment support.
Implement all phases of project delivery including plan, design, network staging, implementation, migration, testing, handover, etc.

A Consulting Engineer at Cisco engages with a diverse group of collaborators, including sales and product teams, to understand and meet customer requirements. They also work closely with customers, providing technical mentorship, and collaborate with project managers to ensure timely delivery of projects. Additionally, they may interact with professional services for the implementation of Cisco solutions, contribute to R&D for the advancement of technology, and cooperate with external partners.

Who You Are

CCIE Security or R/S or CCIE DC certifications
Strong experience of Cisco Security products and solutions
Rich project experience with ASA, FTD, ISE, Trustsec and other Cisco security portfolio
Good knowledge on Umbrella, SSE, SOC
Solid grasp on DNAC, Wireless, ISE with demonstrable experience. Know the differences between traditional wireless and SDA wireless, configure device profiling using Cisco ISE, configure authorization policy etc. in Cisco ISE. Understand SGT to enable intent based networking.
Good understanding of Cisco SDWAN solution and demonstrable experience in designing, testing, and implementing SDA solutions. Understand vManage/vSmart/vBond/vEdge and OMP routing protocol. Understand centralized / local policy configuration via vManage. Understand how zero touch provisioning work in SDWAN
Experience in planning, design, and implementation of Data Center architectures with proven experience of ACI
Rich Experience of working on Catalyst series switches (3560/3750/4500/6500/9000) and Nexus 7000/5000 switches
The ability to perform highly technical L1, L2 and L3 troubleshooting to resolve root cause of software or hardware failure issues
Familiar with the following technology: STP, HSRP/VRRP, MPLS-VPN, OSPF, IS-IS, BGP, LISP, high availability, network/device security, netflow, QoS, IP SLA, network management
Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and consulting skills
Experience in building and crafting large multi-protocol inter-networks

What You'll Do

• Meet with Customers and Partners to understand their business objectives and challenges while considering how Cisco’s portfolio could accelerate their transformation.
• Qualify opportunities by ensuring Cisco’s portfolio of solutions meets those objectives and challenges
• Work with the Cx Product Management team to create new service offering and proactively transform the existing portfolio
• Align activities with customer account teams to advance Cisco's Lifecycle selling approach
• Influence the shaping of future solutions by contributing to the architecture used across multiple products or systems.
• Co-leads with System Engineers and Architects the pre-sales solution architecture and introduce the overall technical vision for a particular solution to stakeholders
• Create, evaluate, and implements plans and design proposals for high impact solutions, considering key factors such as their long-term effectiveness (service delivery and cost), practicality, technical limitations and criticality.
• Leverage a multi domain architectural approach in solution development to create journey maps and multi-year roadmaps
• Actively transition projects from presales to Customer Delivery ensuring all customer expectations are understood and project teams are set up for success. Become the bridge to ensure the solution is delivered

In this role you will have the opportunity to collaborate across multiple functions including working with our Sales teams, Product Business Units, CX CTO, Customer Delivery, Customer Success, Legal, Finance and Deal Acceleration teams to progress opportunities to closure with minimal friction. You will work with internal/external partners, including ecosystem partners, to help ensure comprehensive and scalable technology implementations can be realized.

Who You Are

• You will have demonstrated consultative selling motions with confidence via designs, blueprints, architecture frameworks, systems, or products (the solutions) and aligning them to the customer’s desired business outcomes
• You have knowledge and experience in Professional Services delivery with background working with large and strategic customers & deals
• Demonstrate industry specific expertise that is desirable for contextualizing solutions to the vertical
• Excellent executive level communication and presentation skills to simplify conveying the value of underlying sophisticated solutions

Preferred Knowledge and Skills

• At least one CCNP level technical certification or one related industry certification
• Direct customer pre-sales experience
• Previous Professional Services / Managed Services Business Development experience
• 10+ years’ experience in technical consulting services
• 5+ years’ experience technical customer facing solution development in pre-sales roles
• Strong client presence and CxO level engagement experience, consulting and /or professional services delivery
• Expertise in a broad variety of solution components coupled with proven understanding of related technologies such as; Security, Software, Networking, Cloud, etc.
• A proven track record to grow a Professional Services business
• Experience with producing compelling proposals with associated Service Design, levels of effort, quotes, and contracting documentation
• Ability to build and drive Professional Services focused GTM strategy
• Outstanding oral and written communication skills to consult, communicate and position Cisco’s value and capabilities to customers senior executives
• Ability to work and lead in a multi-functional diverse matrix organization of authorities
• Experience in partnering / subcontracting professional services is an advantage
• Experience in Risk Assessment/Management desirable
