- Develop and execute specialized procurement strategies tailored to the unique requirements of the F&B industry, in alignment with the company's broader business objectives.
- Provide strategic leadership and direction to procurement team leads across all divisions, emphasizing procurement best practices and market insights specific to the F&B sector.
- Act as a primary liaison for procurement matters within divisions, leveraging deep expertise in F&B procurement to drive value creation and operational excellence.
- Collaborate closely with divisional procurement leads to identify and address F&B-specific procurement needs, challenges, and opportunities, ensuring alignment with industry trends and standards.
- Cultivate and maintain robust relationships with key suppliers in the F&B sector, leveraging industry expertise to negotiate favorable contracts and agreements that optimize value and quality.
- Monitor supplier performance across divisions, with a focus on F&B-related metrics such as product quality, freshness, and compliance with food safety regulations.
- Conduct thorough market analysis to identify F&B market trends, emerging suppliers, and cost-saving opportunities while maintaining stringent quality standards.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives within the F&B procurement function, implementing innovative solutions to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and mitigate risks.
- Ensure strict compliance with all relevant F&B procurement regulations, standards, and company policies, prioritizing food safety and sustainability throughout the supply chain.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of procurement leads with specialized expertise in F&B procurement, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
- Develop and oversee the F&B procurement budget, tracking expenditures and optimizing resource allocation to achieve financial targets while maximizing value.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams within each division, including operations, culinary, and quality assurance, to align F&B procurement activities with organizational goals and customer expectations.
- Provide regular communication of F&B procurement strategies, achievements, and challenges to senior management and key stakeholders, emphasizing the strategic importance of procurement in driving business success within the F&B industry.
Job Requirements:
- Strong background in the F&B industry with a robust network of food and non-food suppliers.
- Experience with commodity procurement, particularly in wheat, sugar, oil and dairy sectors.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a monthly trade volume of at least S$10 million.
- International experience is preferred, with exposure to markets such as Thailand and China.
- Proven track record of implementing creative cost-saving measures.
- Experience in the frozen food business will be an added advantage.
