Sports Tourism Strategy
Work in partnership with Visit Sarasota County, non-profits, other agencies and organizations in the development and implementation of major sporting and recreational events.
Develop and maintain strong relationships by facilitating various initiatives in a timely and efficient manner in support of sports tourism and the desired economic results.
Optimize the usage of County facilities to support and maximize sports tourism opportunities while maintaining the overall mission and intended use.

Creation Stations
Provide leadership in the coordination of system-wide Creation Station policies and procedures.
Work closely with Adult, Youth and Outreach Library services to develop and provided Creation Station related programming for patrons of all ages.
Be familiar with and operate common Creation Station equipment including 3D printers, Glowforge machines, Cricut and other similar equipment.
Develop and train staff and patrons on relevant equipment.
Assist patrons with the use of Creation Station equipment.
Represent LHR outside of the library at community events.

Master’s degree in Emergency Management, Fire Science, Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field required with a minimum of six (6) years of progressive fire administration, emergency medical services work, and/or fire operations command responsibilities, with a proven track record of effective leadership and progressive fire service management
OR-Bachelor’s degree in Emergency Management, Fire Science, Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field required with a minimum of eight (8) years of progressive fire administration, emergency medical services work, and/or fire operations command responsibilities, with a proven track record of effective leadership and progressive fire service management; and,
Current and valid Florida Minimum Standards Firefighter Certification.
Current and valid Florida EMT or Paramedic Certification.
Current and valid State of Florida driver’s license, or ability to obtain within 30-days of employment.
Starting Pay Range: $135,000.00 - $146,000.00 (annual) base salary.
**Benefits include $10,000 pensionable pay additive and take-home vehicle

Perform daily maintenance, minor repairs, cleaning and upkeep of Lido Beach. Examples include: cleaning (both general and deep cleaning), trash removal, litter picking, and other duties associated with daily upkeep/maintenance.
Offer occasional trade skills such as carpentry, plumbing, and/or electrical work, depending upon the tasks necessary.
Assist with diagnosing maintenance issues and completing assigned work.
Help to schedule programs, events and summer camps, as needed. This can also include the setup, take down, and operations of such events.
Use and care for small equipment such as, but not limited to, lawn mowers, weed eaters, edgers, leaf blowers, chainsaws, pressure washers, etc. for landscape.
Coordinate volunteer work and exotic invasive plant removal, as well as resource management projects (as assigned).
Utilize hand and power tools to perform restoration work within Lido beach.
Aid Environmental Specialists with duties and tasks for resource management.
Provide exceptional customer service, answering questions and concerns in a timely manner; communicating any concerns or issues to the supervisor.
Work Hours:
Full-Time, 40 hours per week.
The beach operates Sunday - Saturday, 5:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Assigned work schedules may vary due to split shifts, rotations, emergencies, etc.
Hours and scheduled days to be determined based on division needs at the time of job posting. Predicted shift will be in the afternoon but can vary, on occasion.
Must be flexible as nights, weekend, and holiday work may be required.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent education.
One year of experience as a semi-skilled laborer in the care and maintenance of parks, landscape, athletic fields, or other similar grounds.
Valid Florida Driver License at time of hire.
