What You’ll Do:

Blue Hour Studios lives at the intersection of culture, content, creators and commerce, and our Strategy team uncovers the interesting connections that helps brands succeed in a social-first world. We’re looking for a passionate, insightful, and deeply curious Senior Strategist with a record of success to join our team.

You’ll work across a portfolio of clients to uncover rich audience insights and craft strategy deliverables that lead to breakthrough campaigns and inspire creative ideas that people can’t help but engage with. You’ll also support new business efforts and agency thought leadership, particularly in developing unique perspectives within our continued focus areas of Social-First & Subcultures. The Senior Strategist reports into our Head of Strategy.

Strategy

• Lead research and discovery to uncover cultural insights and social trends that fuel engaging social and creator strategies that drive results for our clients.
• Collaborate closely with account and creative teams to determine the right strategic approach to a client ambition or challenge, and working cross-functionally to make sure we deliver exceptional work.
• Build decks and drive overall narrative of campaign presentations that clearly communicate our ideas, insights, and recommendations, leaving clients captivated and ready to embrace our vision.
• Develop and present clear, thought-provoking strategy deliverables, including social strategy, creative briefs, campaign tactical plans & communications plans.
• Identify trends and opportunities to innovate our agency approach, and help the creative team uncover social-first trends that will inspire breakthrough creative.
• Write creative briefs, and facilitate brainstorms and client workshops to inspire great creative and strategic work.

New Business & Thought Leadership

• Develop thought-provoking new business pitches by identifying trends (in social and broader culture) and insights (audience, category, brand) that drive exceptional social ideas & creator recommendations.
• Support the ongoing development of our Social-First Subculture methodology, through research and tactical deliverables that help our clients take inspiration from social communities and trends to niche down content.
• Drive the development of Blue Hour POV briefings and social posts to provide timely insights in the social and broader marketing landscape. Even better if you have experience as a content creator or are willing to give it a try.

• You love social media and understand that social now drives culture. You’re curious about online communities and how trends emerge.
• You ‘get’ each social platform and have a unique POV on content and creative strategy for brands on each platform.
• You may have a list that exists in your head of your favorite emerging social content creators.
• You’ve been complimented unironically for your deck making abilities.
• You understand the importance and differences between research and insights.
• You have an endless curiosity about culture and social subcultures. If you’re not familiar with a niche community, your curiosity takes you down rabbit holes on TikTok, Reddit, Discord, etc. to learn more.
• You can break down complex ideas into simple, compelling narratives that resonate with any audience.
• You thrive in a collaborative environment and are a good multitasker who can effectively prioritize cross-functional work to achieve success across multiple projects.

Additional Requirements:

• Have experience working in social strategy and building social-first and influencer campaigns for a creative agency or a brand.
• Have experience with research tools (e.g., MRI Simmons, Brandwatch, Helixa), and social media analytics.
• Are comfortable presenting to senior clients and internal teams.
• Are a self-starter that has demonstrated initiative in past roles.

What you’ll do

Blue Hour Studios sits at the intersection of culture, content, creators and commerce and our Brand team sits at the heart of Blue Hour. As a Brand Solutions team member, your focus will be leading clients' social and influencer marketing approaches, identifying new opportunities, and pushing clients creatively and strategically. As the Supervisor, Brand Solutions, you will lead client relationships and serve as an “internal CMO,” accountable for driving our work towards successful business outcomes. From influencer marketing, social strategy and production to community management and beyond, each member of the BST is expected to bring their social expertise to support a wide array of short and long term initiatives. To be successful in this role, you must thrive in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment, be always curious, a strategic problem solver, and possess an over-the-top excitement for all things social.

Must have a strong, unique & rich POV in brand marketing, content creators/creation and innovative tech solutions in social.

Key responsibilities are identified as follows. Strategic Planning & Thought Leadership (50%)

• Translate client business goals into strategic social solutions and action plans that grow our clients’ brands day to day.
• Develop a deep understanding of our clients’ business and competitive set, and consistently identify new, innovative social content opportunities based on marketplace trends and brand alignment.
• Drive and elevate the work on individual client projects or AOR engagements to exceed client expectations, and identify opportunities to expand scope, bringing these opportunities to Director and/or VP.
• Contribute to the creation and execution of innovative strategy, creative, production, and reporting, employing best practices, historic learnings, and marketplace expertise:
  • Become familiar with the expertise of activation teams to build an understanding of how to resource and approach new client campaigns and/or challenges
  • Lead or support on kickoffs and briefings, allowing all teams to produce campaign components seamlessly
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of timelines, deadlines, processes and integration points for all projects
  • Develop and manage campaign activation workflow and communication protocol between new business, brand solutions, strategy, talent, and creative teams
  • Proactively manage client and internal team expectations and education
  • Facilitate the delivery of timely reports with relevant activation teams and provide thoughtful strategic analysis
  • Ensure key learnings are implemented in future work
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest social media platform developments and trends for purpose of internal and client education
• Identify opportunities for effective and persuasive POVs that distill complex industry topics, facilitating innovation and thought leadership. Collaborate with senior team members  on development and delivery of POVs where appropriate.
• Sync up with Director to effectively tap into and evangelize Blue Hour resources/tools and collaborate with partners to facilitate insight-driven client creative solutions.

Relationship Development (25%)

• Own day-to-day client relationship on individual projects and AOR engagements, proactively identify opportunities and processes that ensures client satisfaction, growth, retention and exceptional experience in all client/agency interaction.
• Foster a collaborative and integrated work environment across adjacent Blue Hour teams (creative, talent, etc.), external partners, and Horizon Media teams, unlocking effective ways of working.
• Enable successful new client relationships and internal project teams:
  • Oversee successful client onboarding processes to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Uncover, distill, and convey relevant client information to enable the success of internal activation teams.

Business Growth (15%)

• Support leadership on new business opportunities and proposal development.
• Strategically identify and persuasively serve up incremental solutions/capabilities to drive organic growth.
• Manage and oversee account/project profitability including:
  • Effectively forecast and pre-close reporting
  • Manage scope efficiency throughout the project (campaign spend, fees, etc.) keeping leadership informed by proactively communicating and offering up effective solutions to bring to clients and stakeholders.

Team Management & Supervision (10%)

• Foster collaborative, supportive, and innovative working environment and atmosphere:
  • Translate the goals and direction from senior level leadership into actionable next steps for direct reports or other BHS team members as applicable.
  • Find opportunities to promote the work of both junior and senior team members, setting a positive team environment.
  • Ensure team members have training and support needed to achieve development goals .
• Oversee the day-to-day activities and develop a team of strategists and assistants
• Conduct direct report’s performance reviews, coaching to maximize success:
  • Guide team in setting goals and professional development timelines, ensure team members have challenging, level-appropriate projects and opportunities to learn new skills.
• Provide ongoing, real-time, performance feedback to ensure continued team growth
• Active role in conversations around staffing needs

What You’ll Do

Blue Hour Studios sits at the intersection of culture, content, creators and commerce and our Brand team sits at the heart of Blue Hour. The Assistant Strategist, Brand Solutions will work on a portfolio of clients helping to deliver the best, most inspired work across Blue Hour’s expanse of capabilities. This entry-level position requires an individual to strategically think and problem solve, building a rich account and brand strategy foundation. This role will be the glue between clients and our Influencer, Creative, Strategy and New Business teams, and tasked with producing the best creative and business outcomes for the brands that entrust Blue Hour Studios with their business. The Brand Assistant will report to the Director, Brand Solutions.

**Must have a thoughtful POV on social trends and content creators/creation. This is a client-facing role. Must be comfortable taking the lead, speaking up, presenting to big groups and bringing your best creative ideas to the table..**.

50% - Account Coordination

• Coordinate day-to-day account activities, including meeting arrangements, agenda drafting, note-taking, and ongoing reporting.
• Maintain client satisfaction through effective client onboarding, communication, and relationship building.
• Foster a collaborative environment across internal and external teams, driving efficient project execution.
• Support presentations and communications with clients to ensure alignment and satisfaction.

35% - Strategic Planning & Thought Leadership

• Engage in brainstorming sessions to develop innovative solutions for client challenges.
