Pay Range
Salary: $62,400 - $80,000The pay range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position and may change in the future. The Commerce team at DDM is in search of a VP of Commerce to oversee the content strategy on our Food, Travel, & Pet sites (Food + Wine, Travel + Leisure, Serious Eats, All Recipes, The Spruce Eats, Eating Well, and The Spruce Pets). We are seasoned and proactive professionals capable of leading a team effectively while also providing comprehensive reporting to senior management.
This role will report directly into our Chief Commerce Officer and will be responsible for leading a team of 20+ employees and direct reports.
Responsibilities
Lead the Commerce business across DDM Food brands (Food & Wine, Serious Eats, All Recipes, Eating Well), Travel brand (Travel & Leisure) and Pet brand (The Spruce Pets) and bring a passion for products/ecommerce to life at work each day
Demonstrate a nuanced and deep understanding of the product recommendation ecosystem in Search, Social, Newsletter, and Video
Total ownership, accountability, management and oversight of editorial content production, editorial strategies, product testing, and overall editorial voice, tone, quality of the performance marketing content on the Food & Travel brands
Meet monthly and quarterly revenue and content production targets and adjust strategies accordingly to drive performance improvements
Own broader production and business goals, articulating these into actionable goals for respective teams/brands
Demonstrate the ability to take big picture ideas and turn them into actionable projects for your team.
Submit financial models for resource asks and impact to the business, anticipate needs of the business proactively by securing resources, identifying training needs, and own process improvements.
Partner with Editorial Directors to ensure day-to-day tasks are delegated, tracked, and delivered
