HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM
You will lead a team in charge of the development and implementation of export control processes and practices to ensure compliance with foreign trade laws and regulations for Airbus and other Airbus subsidiaries located in the UK and Ireland
You will ensure compliance with licences and other export requirements, laws and regulations, end-use and regulatory reporting obligations, as well as the Airbus Export Controls Directives and Methods
You will represent Airbus in export control matters with government agencies (e.g., ECJU) and commercial working groups
You will request and manage export licences and agreements, preliminary inquiries or special procedures under UK, European and US export control laws, including monitoring and legal reporting
You will monitor, assess, decide, control and document the export control related processes of Airbus, including licensing, the use of licence exceptions, etc.
ABOUT YOU
Experience of working in a multinational environment advising on international trade, sanctions and export control matters
Experience leading and managing a team

ABOUT YOU

We collaborate with other business functions to deliver on programmes and maintain technical excellence for Landing Gear topics:
Landing systems definition and vendor management for new programmes, incremental developments and to support continuous product development;
Integration, evolution, application and maturity of Landing Gear development processes, through state of the art simulations and data analytics technologies;
Proactive product support for industrialisation, production and in-service;
Execution of product, technology and innovation strategies to deliver Landing Gear related Research and Technology (R&T) for future and current Airbus products.

The Fuel and Landing Gear Avionics and Flight Test Analysis team is part of the Flight and Integration Test Centre, where we test the integration of the complete aircraft. This is reflected in our ways of working, so you will be able to interact and build relationships with colleagues across Europe and across all aircraft systems. We are a product-focused community with a history of delivering innovation to our company. As a team we conduct development testing of new aircraft systems through agile test methods, help to resolve in-service problems and provide design feedback for future aircraft.
What you will be doing:
As an intern with us, you will contribute to the delivery of Fuel and Landing Gear Avionics, and Flight Test Analysis.
Test Team mission:
Support certification through integrated rig and flight testing and analysis;
Establish and improve the maturity of AC systems through the collaboration with other engineering teams;
React to and help resolve in-service system issues;
Aim for product safety beyond certification requirements;
Implement synergies and alignment between rig and flight test.
Every day will present a new challenge, you will test and improve your skills on a variety of activities including Lab testing, Flight test analysis and data analytics.
Lab Testing:
Agreement on Lab Test Requirements, definition and validation of test benches;
System level testing of landing gear functionality;
In-service investigation by reproducing events on avionics benches;
Preparing Lab Test Results Analysis.
Flight Test Analysis:
Agreement on Flight Test Requirements, Definition and validation of Flight Test Instrumentation;
Support development and flight testing by following flights live through telemetry facilities;
Preparing Flight Test Results Analysis and certification documentation.
Data Analytics:
Use of big data techniques to achieve cross-correlation between design, test rig and flight behaviour;
Algorithm development using flight test data for monitoring, design feedback and support to in-service investigations, possibly in collaboration with other areas of engineering;
Development of tools to support data analysis activities.
Requirements:
Our placements are open to Undergraduates only. Therefore it is mandatory for candidates to be an undergraduate for the whole duration of the placement. Please inform your graduation date on your application.

Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate the following:
Studying towards a degree in Engineering/Computer Science;
Data analysis, report writing and presentation skills;

Good interpersonal skills and capable of working as a team;
English – Negotiation level.

The role is based within the Facilities Management and Real Estate (FMRE UK) organisation at Broughton site. The candidate will work across the whole Airbus UK portfolio of sites with direct accountability into the Airbus Services UK team.
FMRE UK is responsible for a huge range of deliverables to Airbus UK, including but not limited to:
Real Estate and General Zoning management;
Aerodrome management;
Energy and Supply;
Major Building and Construction projects;
Maintenance, Catering and Cleaning.
What will you be doing:
This exciting opportunity offers successful applicants the chance to influence and drive change in a challenging, diverse department, matured over recent years to an integrated “ONE FMRE” team incorporating both Airbus Commercial and Airbus Defence & Space (ADS) across the UK.
Services UK delivers maintenance, energy, waste management, catering, archiving, reprographics and graphic design provision through the use of sub-contractors. Preventative and reactive maintenance is carried out which supports the ongoing reliability of the equipment on the sites achieved by using technical engineering skills in both the UK Team and the Supply Chain to optimise asset uptime whilst ensuring all regulatory compliance is met. Future investments and asset replacement strategies are based on sound analysis of performance data to ensure the right decisions are achieved.
As the successful candidate, you will:
support the site HO Services with the financial management of budgets and forecasting;
participate in capital investment (CapEX) planning and projects according to Airbus principles;
work with the disciplined engineers, identify redundant services and systems within our main manufacturing facility at Broughton;
contribute to the strategy for each system removal, ensuring any risks are identified and collated on the Airbus ARM tool (Risk Management);
develop asset strategies for the specific service deliverables.
The initial focus will be on external pump stations and ventilation systems ensuring all future projects have clear and aligned specifications to protect and deliver total cost of maintenance.
