Your challenges:
Using mathematics, scientific, and engineering principles to design, repair, and improve aircraft, component parts, facilities, materials, safety regulations, and manufacturing processes.
Create specifications for testing aircraft, including benchmarks for durability, reliability, and overall performance

Primary Responsibilities: 50 %
Responsible for creation/ approval / authorization (release) of technical solutions including justification reports for repairs / reworks and troubleshooting instructions and the identification, explanation, resolution and documentation of anomalies which will be delivered with the aircraft to the design office and the authorities (EASA, FAA or Transport Canada TC).
Involved in all aircraft systems and structure (metallic/composite).
Analyzes all reported malfunctions of aircraft systems/structures and launches trouble-shooting activities.
Represents all design offices, subcontractors and risk-sharing partners.
Represents the Single Aisle Chief Engineer/Design Office and acts as interface between the design organization and the manufacturing organization.
Additional Responsibilities:

Creates, checks, approves & releases covering technical design solutions.
Supports the FAL US from the delivery of A/C sections, via FAL process, flight line activities and up to the ferry flight in all Aircraft related items including the presentation in front of the customer, if needed.
Responsible for the creation, validation, approval and monitoring of corrective actions (launch of new modifications, drawing updates, design query notes, improvements and avoidance of recurrent issues).
Responsible for the creation of temporary aircraft definitions (special instructions) in line with airworthiness requirements.
Knowledge of internal processes and procedures.
Able to use manuals ( Aircraft Wiring list, Aircraft Maintenance Manual, Illustrated Parts Catalog) for research and verification.
Non-conformities (NC's) are written by the production/quality departments or Flight Test Engineers, if they detect any deviations/damages during the assembly process, inspection or production flights.
As part of the Liaison Engineering/MAP team, the incumbent will be responsible for specific tasks based on individual skills and experience including, but not limited to, onsite service, managing the cost center, establishing flight clearance prerequisites, training onsite employees in new aircraft design and production techniques, managing, creating and establishing improvements of onsite processes, perform MRB*** audits, etc. (*** Bombardier Aerospace Material Review Board (MRB)).
Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience to obtain delegation from the Design Office to perform engineering activities under MRB.
Executes intermediate to complex engineering assignments requiring familiarity with several fields of engineering.
Conducts research into various fields of engineering to investigate, re-evaluates and applies obtained results to solve practical problems.
Identifies and reports on defects and deficiencies in work done by others. Prepares progress reports.
Recommends changes in plans and specifications to suit special conditions.
Develops innovative engineering techniques.
Generates documentation for approval by others.
Reviews sections of documents prepared by others and recommends approval.
May be responsible for small work packages.

Lead and supervise a multi-function engineering team who will provide dispositions for non conformance on the aircraft. Your challenges:
Essential Duties: 95 %
Manage a multi-function team consisting of Avionic specialists, EWIS specialist, and liaison.
Manage the multi-function teams performance and ensure deliverables are delivered on time, within budget to satisfy operations expectations.
Engage with MFT at various build positions to resolve key technical issues, and ensure changes are harmonized at the work stations.
Initiate and lead projects in order to harmonize changes impacting production build.
Support manufacturing providing direction with dispositions.
Guide your team in working together with the various disciplines represented in the group.
Manage your team to ensure adequate coverage/support to production, in a work environment that may require coverage on second shift and on week-ends.
Identify gaps in performance and implement corrective actions to ensure achievement of objectives.
Establish, coordinate and promote exchange of information and collaboration between Mobile and other FAL sites.
Complete performance assessments, ensure team activities are executed, fostering development of team members, creating a forum for growth and development.
Ensure team building and smooth start-up phase for sign off team related activities in Mobile with the aim to have a high degree of autonomy at FAL start.

Accountability for the given approved repair, rework and troubleshooting instruction as well as for design update solutions in front of the corresponding design/stress office and authorities (EASA/FAA).
Creation / approval / authorization (release) of technical solutions including structure justification reports for repairs / reworks or design updates. 1. Accountable to operate and manage the Measurement System Analysis process (FU.IN.03.06) for each measurement system requested and deployed within the FAL USA A320 program:
Analyze incoming requests for Measurement Systems
Assist with defining the Measurement System needed to fulfill the request requirements (for example: determine technique, methods, understanding sources of uncertainty).
Evaluating sources of uncertainty in a measurement system using the 5M management system (Man, Method, Means, Material, and Environment).
Design the Measurement Process.
Produce and/or assist in writing the work specification for acquisitions of new tooling.
Monitor development and test/validate the Measuring Equipment.
Coordinate the qualification of the Measurement System. A Measurement System Analysis (MSA) report shall be produced.
Achieve operational performance along the value chain of the process.
Ensure the documentation and guidance for all in service measurement systems is accurate and available for use by internal and external stakeholders to use, maintain and calibrate the equipment.
2. Operational/Process Activities
Consult the business on metrology issues.
Ensure adherence and measure process performance efficiency and effectiveness as per defined KPIs.
Propose changes to improve the process.
Resolve process non-conformances.
Contribute to process risk analysis management.
Conceptualize, specify and develop aircraft production process measurement tooling and equipment based on production needs.
Lead jigs & tools projects related or unrelated to measurement system requests.
Provide necessary reporting for measurement system/jigs & tools project status within the FAL project team.
Provide technical expertise within the team to ensure project success through best practice application and knowledge of Airbus processes.

Define Quality Assurance (QA) requirements in the technical specifications for Airbus custom tooling and equipment.

Carry out tests at the manufacturer.

Primary Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, documentation, content, and databases related to EHS system activities, including permits, inspections, audits, training records, incident reports, and regulatory filings within EHS Management Systems.
Establish and maintain engagement through collaboration with management, employees, and EHS Management Systems relevant stakeholders.
Collect and disseminate EHS data to correct stakeholders to track performance, identify trends, and measure the effectiveness of safety programs.
Prepare reports for management and regulatory agencies as required.
Liaise with involved departments to coordinate the activities according to the risks and opportunities of the EHS Management Systems.
Coordinate support and relevant initiatives, including promotion of health and wellness (includes aspects of physical and mental health) including Occupational Medicine, Worker’s compensation and Health Program management.
Coordinate the management of the prescription eyewear program relevant to the workforce.

Generate regular reports of FISH data for trends, metrics and key performance indicators for management review.
