Senior Facilities Operative (Production Catering)
Renfrewshire Council is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and skilled Senior Facilities Operative (Production Catering) who can demonstrate the necessary skills and experience to deliver a high quality, modern Soft Facilities Management/Catering service.
You will have responsibility, at site level, for the supervision of staff, ensuring effective delivery of the catering service. It is desirable that you have previous supervisory experience and are willing to undertake training. It is essential that you have previous catering experience in a similar environment.
You will have a flexible approach to working hours and have experience of working in a customer focused environment and be willing and enthusiastic to work as part of a team. It is essential that you have previous experience of dealing with members of the public.

About the Role
Reporting into the Estates Services Officer, you will be responsible for providing high quality cleaning and grounds/gardening services to several schemes on our estates in the Surrey area, on a permanent basis. This will include cleaning internal communal areas and keeping external areas well maintained such as refuse removal and basic gardening skills.

The person appointed must be dependable, a fast learner and have good attention to detail to ensure quality standards are upheld. Must be physically fit as a certain amount of lifting is involved and the work is standing.
This is a temporary role that requires an immediate start and will offer 40 hours a week; Monday to Thursday 8-5 and Friday 8-2. Although temporary initially, the role could become a permanent contract for the right person.
You will be required to undertake a numeracy test at interview and ideally you will be familiar working with measurements and possess a basic understanding of angles in order to manufacture products to specific shapes and sizes. Training will be provided.
