1. Responsible for providing directives for the Quality Assurance Department in meeting management objectives.
2. Formulate, implement and evaluate quality strategies programs for the company.

You will manage the in-house Quality team to ensure compliance with all regulatory and legislative requirements, this will include coordination of the completion of internal audits to drive a continuous improvement with a robust safety culture at both of our Manufacturing facilities in the Midlands. Deputise for CHIS Senior Team Leader Data Quality & Failsafe in times of absence to include first line manager duties e.g., sickness return to work interviews. To complete data quality and failsafe tasks, review, quality check and input missing information on to electronic record systems following Trust guidelines. Produce and disseminate data quality reports to clinical staff from our bespoke Child Health Information System to agreed departmental standards. To make, receive and deal with telephone queries in a professional manner, as agreed by the service, liaising with colleagues, GPs, and other agencies verbally, virtually and by email. To liaise with the clinical teams to support the delivery of services across West Midlands CHIS-Northern Hub. To communicate information to and receive information from managers, colleagues, and others, whilst being aware of the need to maintain confidentiality. To adopt a constantly flexible team working approach to ensure that all individual and team objectives are completed efficiently and within given timescales.

Your new role
Working within a dedicated Product Compliance and Quality function, you will collaborate with stakeholders in R&D, Supply Chain, and Marketing to ensure relevant compliance and legislation in all relevant territories is understood and maintained. This will include classification, labelling, and packaging of mild chemical products, maintenance of the Restricted Substance List (RSL), and adherence to REACH, PCN, BPR and related standards.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be proven in a similar function, be familiar with relevant international standards, and enjoy being a subject-matter expert that your business can rely on. You will be comfortable managing technical data (eg Safety Data Sheets, Technical Product files) and staying up to date with changes that happen in all relevant sales territories, using this knowledge to advise the business when bringing new products to market. Experience within a business that ships chemicals / blended fluid products, or other regulated products internationally is an advantage. You will be naturally detail focussed, and enjoy researching to fill in any knowledge gaps. You will also be a confident communicator, able to advise department heads, and present information in a concise and impactful way, to support your decisions and recommendations.
