About the role

The Senior Quality Manager for Cell Process is responsible to managing the quality of all Lithium-ion (Li-ion) cells made for and by Dyson. Reporting to the respective Head of Quality, this role is responsible in ensuring delivery of safe and reliable battery cells into consumers’ hands. This role requires active engagement with Design, Engineering, Operations and Commercial teams for both products under development and those that have started production. The role includes supporting and assuring our Li-ion cells conform to our exacting quality standards. Extensive knowledge and experience of Li-ion cell production and associated critical-to quality activity is an essential part of this role.

• Lead a cross functional team developing and optimizing the cell manufacturing processes for the next generation cell technology incorporating best practices.
• Lead prototype and pilot builds from the quality perspective through the development of the processes, tooling, and equipment.
• Involvement in design, construction and plant installation for a successful launch, and subsequently continuous improvement of processes and equipment for the production of high-quality cell.
• Ensure design takes into account manufacturing capability and ensure key characteristics are properly cascaded from product characteristics to process characteristics.
• Work with the product design team to integrate new cell design into the production by adjusting or updating equipment and tooling.
• Technically support pilot line troubleshooting and problem-solving.

Managing Quality Assurance Goals

• Coaches managers on adopting the Total Quality Management leadership style.

• Conducts monthly audit to ensure compliance with company and brand standards

• Makes and executes the necessary decisions to keep property moving forward toward achievement of goals.

• Directs property quality efforts to address critical customer requirements.

• Assists with regional and/or company-wide implementation of company best practices.

• Facilitates process improvement teams, assuring use of the systematic processes, and improvement is achievable and measurable.

Managing Quality Tools

• Ensures that management practices at all levels are aligned with quality tools by providing training in quality sciences.

• Uses data collection methods to compile, display, track, and analyze defect trends.

• Demonstrates and communicates key drivers of guest satisfaction for the brand’s target customer.

• Analyzes issues and identifies trends.

Managing the Guest Experience

• Reviews guest feedback with leadership team and ensures appropriate corrective action is taken.

• Responds to and handles guest problems and complaints.

• Stays visible and interfaces with customers on a regular basis to obtain feedback on quality of product, service levels and overall satisfaction.

• Models service behaviors that meet or exceed guest expectations.

About Your Role: Quality Assurance Manager

Join us as a Quality Assurance Manager and lead specialized services for bids and projects. Drive Risk Driven Quality deployment, ensuring impeccable standards across operations. Your focus includes audits, supplier quality, and aligning solutions with customer expectations and contractual needs. Join us in implementing strategic quality assurance and customer satisfaction objectives for operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborating with quality heads for task execution
• Elevating, project, & bid quality continually
• Providing crucial quality advice for projects, and bids
• Nurturing strong relationships with internal/external customers
• Ensuring flawless milestone implementation
• Steering and implementing audit schedules for process and suppliers
• Defining and managing project-specific quality objectives
• Mitigating risks across all project facets

 

Skills, Qualifications & Experience:

• Engineering or related technical qualifications with 3-5 years’ experience
• Auditor qualifications and deep ISO 9001:2015 knowledge
• Proven track record in quality management, preferably in tech-driven setups
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in ISO Management Systems and MS Office tools

The Quality Manager is responsible for ensuring the consistent delivery of quality service and products, regularly engaging in systemic and process reviews for continuous improvement. He/She will lead a team of QC/ QA personnel to work with Production, Sales & Operation teams to ensure and provide training for meeting strict quality and food safety compliance. The incumbent must have relevant work experience in food manufacturing and a track record in change leadership and quality management.

• Candidate must possess at least Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, or Professional Degree in Food Science & Technology and/or Business Administration & Management
• At least 10 years of continuous work experience in a similar position in food manufacturing, with at least 5 years in quality management functions, is required.
• Only professionals with experience in Food Manufacturing and Quality Assurance or equivalent in a fast-paced, high mix/ high volume, BRCGS or ISO22000 food safety management system need to apply.
