Supply Chain IT, part of HPE Global IT is responsible for providing best in class IT solutions to HPE's business units including Global Operations, Compute, Storage and Intelligent Edge. HPE has manufacturing and logistics around the world, with a changing Supply Chain network. This position allows the selected candidate to work on IT projects that impact our global Supply Chain.
Come join HPE IT in a functional analyst role for Direct Procurement and Procurement Collaboration. The selected candidate will have done technical development on S4HANA and SAP Ariba Supply Chain Collaboration.
What you’ll do:
The candidates will manage the design and successful delivery of Direct Procurement solutions, collaborating with various IT and business partners.
- Researches and designs existing and new business applications and/or information systems solutions including databases through integration of technical and business requirements. (Applications and infrastructure solutions include both 3rd party software and internally developed applications and infrastructure.)
- Responsibilities include but are not limited to analysis of business requirements, creation of documentation, design, development, testing and maintenance of applications, infrastructure, and information systems including database management systems.
- Works within the Information Technology function working in support of objectives and strategies.
- Provides required documentation and participates in architecture reviews to ensure that the solutions comply with standards and use approved technologies. Typical (internal) "customers" are company end users and external stakeholders are the HPE’s suppliers.
Responsibilities:
- Influences overall IT and business planning; engages in strategic business planning where there is IT impact.
- Gathers business requirements, performs technical analysis, systems design, and drives techno-functional solutions.
- Performs analysis of complex functional and business requirements and applies in-depth or broad technical knowledge to provide development and maintenance solutions across one or more technology areas.
- Demonstrates technical leadership and exerts influence outside of immediate team.
- Designs solutions for others to code. Leads functional and technical design and participates as a member of development teams. Ability to review code is a plus as this is a techno-functional position.
- Consults with team members and other organizations, customers, and vendors on complex issues.
- Provides leadership to teams and integrates technical expertise and business understanding to create superior solutions for HPE and HPE’s trading partners.
- Establishes and maintains relationships with business leaders. Uses deep business knowledge to drive engagement on major IT initiatives.
What you need to bring:
Education and Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in business / engineering / finance or related discipline with 5 - 8 years of experience implementing Direct Procurement solutions (SAP MM, SD) in a techno-functional role, SaaS cloud experience a plus.
- 5 - 8 years of experience designing/developing/implementing Direct Procurement IT Solutions
- Full lifecycle techno-functional experience in Procurement Collaboration between S4 HANA and SAP Ariba Supply Chain Collaboration (SCC).
- SAP functional skills are a must, ABAP technical development is a plus.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Demonstrated functional and technical leadership working on Direct Procurement Solutions.
- Business and technical acumen in the following areas: Procurement Master Data, Finished goods procurement for configurable materials on SAP, raw material procurement on SAP S4HANA, Ariba Supply Chain Collaboration.
- Ability to configure external procurement and intra-company procurement.
- Enable Direct Procurement processes in the SAP IMG and tie it to sales order processing, logistics, and the related financials on SAP.
- Integration between S4HANA and SAP Ariba Supply Chain Collaboration.
- EDI Integration between SAP Ariba and suppliers (ANSI X12 EDI messaging).
- Ability to work with ABAP code, ability to work on Ariba CIG mappings.
- Experience in identifying and implementing new IT technologies in the Direct Procurement space.
- Demonstrates strong command of the English language with excellent oral and written communication skills of complex and technical concepts.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; influencing skills and ability to work effectively in a geographically dispersed team.
