Job Scope

• Manage and oversee daily operations and accounting functions of Finance and Accounts department to ensure smooth operation of the department.
• Monitor and analyse accounting data and prepare monthly management reports and ad hoc reports for submission to the management to facilitate management decision making.

Senior Accounting Officer

Roles & Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

1. Be responsible for controlling, monitoring the inflow, use, and change of the funds of the company;

2. Be responsible for the internal lending and settlement management;

3. Be responsible for the bank credit and liaise with the bank for the repayment;

4. Handle full set of accounts and ensure timely closing;

Job Summary

Please note that this position is temporary.

The Finance team is looking to recruit an Accounting Technician on a one year basis, at first. You will be working in the Finance team supporting the Accountant of the HSCP. You will assist the accountant in the team with all relevant accounting and budgeting work.

You should have knowledge of local government finance, accounting principles and financial information systems. Advanced ICT skills in use of financial information systems, spreadsheets and word processing are essential to this post.

An HNC/HND/Degree in a relevant discipline and/or previous experience in a similar accounting support role is essential.
