The National Additive Manufacturing Innovation Cluster (NAMIC) was established on 1st October 2015, to be the collaborative partner in 3D printing technology creation and innovation through working with different industries, agencies and institutions to develop capabilities in additive manufacturing, innovate and accelerate additive manufacturing to increase Singapore"s global manufacturing competitiveness.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team at the NAMIC@Additive Innovation Centre (NAMIC@AIC) A*STAR Hub as the industry development manager. The AIC Hub aims to introduce A*STAR’s integrated additive manufacturing technology offerings that can benefit the industry, with the objective to increase collaboration with key industry partners. The collaborations are targeted to translate research into applications, promote pilot production and accelerate the adoption of additive manufacturing (AM) in Singapore.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop, evaluate and implement the AIC Hub"s goals, objectives and activities related to translating technology and driving AM industrial business growth.
• Formulate and execute effective business strategy and industry engagement to promote AM technology, industrial and entrepreneurial growth efforts to accelerate adoption of AM in Singapore.
• Engage companies to understand industry needs and technology requirements, and to collate and document the industry intelligence for the AIC Hub.
• Organize industry sharing events such as seminars, roundtable discussions, workshops to outreach to the industry.
• Work with AIC Hub manager, other A*STAR Research Institutes (RI)s’ Industry Development Managers (or equivalent) to drive business strategies and industry contacts / needs for R&D projects, including pilot production projects for the AIC Hub.

• Work with Marcomm on marketing strategies for AIC Hub.
• Work with NAMIC Cluster Lead Party (CLP) to follow up on potential companies, Institutes of Higher Learning (IHL) and start-ups for projects, license agreement, co-funding and standards development.
• Secure collaboration partnerships and projects to meet the AIC Hub’s outcome and KPIs.
• Develop and maintain good relationships with the partners and take charge of all business aspects in the on-going AIC Hub’s projects.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum a degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Biomedical/Materials/Chemical Engineering, Science or equivalent education from a recognized university with at least 5 years of relevant working experience in the industry in business development.
• Proven track record in sales and marketing in additive manufacturing. Demonstrated ability to follow up with industry inquires, negotiate business terms & pricing with customers and secure industry projects.

The Early Mental Potential and Wellbeing Research Centre (EMPOWER) is looking for an experienced full-time Project Manager / Research Fellow to lead a team of researchers, and to drive and fulfill research deliverables and milestones within a tight timeline.

The candidate is expected to render strong research support to the Centre’s Director, Professor Victoria Leong and a team of co-Is, on basic and translational projects with a focus on early childhood development. Position Objective

The Head of Digital Learning is responsible for the strategic planning, implementation, management, and ongoing evaluation of digital learning at Stamford. They co-lead the Digital Learning Team, which collaborates within divisions to support teams, teachers and administrators to help redesign learning in a digital world to inspire, create, and personalize.

Job Description

The new Centre for Investor Protection aims to undertake independent research, public education and related activities to promote the improvement of investor protection in Singapore and beyond. Projects conducted by the centre should have significant implications for policy and practices relating to investor protection. The key types of research and activities to be conducted are:

(a) Practice and academic research
(b) Case studies
(c) Public education seminars and workshops
(d) Other activities directly related to the centre’s purpose

The Research Manager will report to the centre Director and is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the centre’s projects. This includes working with the centre Director and project leaders in designing and implementing research methodologies, analyzing data, providing actionable insights to key stakeholders; and overseeing and managing the writing and editing of case studies. The Research Manager will also be responsible for managing a team of researchers and student assistants and ensuring the successful execution of projects within established timelines and budgets.

The Research Manager is also expected to provide administrative and operational support for the centre, co-ordination of events, and collaborations with both internal and external parties.

Job Responsibilities

Reporting to the Principal Manager, Adoption and Acceleration, the position works with the various Programme Managers (PMs) in meeting the centre’s objectives to advance the development, proliferation, and adoption of proven innovative learning solutions. The appointee will be part of the team to conduct evaluation of grant proposals to ascertain their innovation value and eligibility for funding support. The appointee will develop and implement the innovation sandbox and go-to-market strategy for proven Minimum Marketable Product (MMP) learning solutions that could lead to their readiness and acceptability for wider adoption in the larger learning and development community. The appointee will be responsible for developing and sustaining a strong pipeline of contents for the innovation microsite as part of providing resources to support such wider adoption. The appointee should therefore be familiar with the training and adult education landscape and is adept at leveraging market and business-related research studies to support adoption efforts. • Possess prior experience in the Training and Adult Education (TAE) sector is highly preferred.
• Possess experience in facilitating and enabling commercialisation of products and services.
• Display strong presentation and communication skills, including the ability to prepare effective presentation materials for senior management on deals.
• Demonstrate strong systems thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to connect the dots to develop a deeper appreciation of current and emerging key issues and exercising good judgement to provide sound recommendations.
• Possess an ability to work independently and as a member of a team

What will I be doing?

Guiding, inspiring and engaging a team of paid staff and volunteers. This includes recruitment, retention and development of a diverse shop team.

Taking ownership and responsibility for commercial running of your store including display and merchandising, stock management, maintaining shop standards, store layout, sales and income.

Leading by example and providing excellent customer and supporter service.

Maximising profit through effective cost control and sales.

Creating relationships with your local community and Cancer Research UK colleagues.

Organising and running creative fundraising events for your store to achieve fundraising targets.

Maintaining compliance with health and safety, safeguarding, security, administration and HR policies.



What skills will I need?

Experience of managing and inspiring a diverse team of people.

Comfort working within targets and motivating others to achieve those targets.  

The ability to multi-task in a lively environment.

Working knowledge of what makes great customer service.

Commercial awareness.

Knowledge of high street fashion retail.

Adaptability in changing situations, including being able to work effectively independently.   

An awareness of the price, value and worth of items.

And ideally experience of retail management.
