PROGRAM SUMMARY:
This program provides critical Communications and Information Technology Services to support U.S. Africa Command, U.S. European Command, Combined Joint Task Force - Horn of Africa, Southern European Task Force, and associated staff elements and organizations.  It provides our war fighters support in their mission to keep threats and vulnerabilities as low as possible by ensuring their computer network is stable, undisrupted and secure. This will require some OCONUS travel.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Provide technical expertise to support the Combatant Command (CCMD) cybersecurity program and its functions IAW current architectures, which includes all hardware and software tools and sensors from perimeter to endpoint. 
•Review security threats and determines/implements effective countermeasures IAW established policies/regulations/directives. 
•Analyze network or system changes/reconfigurations for security impacts (performs risk analysis/assessment). 
•Monitor implemented security controls and report status.

The proposed salary range for this position is:

As a Senior Cyber Security Analyst,

You will safeguard our infrastructure and users, minimizing risks posed by cyber threats. You will promptly and effectively handle cyber attacks and data breaches, ensuring minimal recurrence of incidents.

Some of the things we expect you to do are to:

• Assist in monitoring company compliance to IT security policies.
• Assist with incident response and execution of company security incident response plan.
• Monitor and manage security events and alerts from a variety of sources (Azure, Defender, Keeper, Cloudflare etc).
• Assess and mitigate CVE’s and CVSS’s from multiple threat intelligence sources.
• Monitor threat intelligence and ensure risk mitigation and communication through the company where necessary.
• Assist with cybersecurity and phishing training for staff.
• Assist in maintaining and implementing GPO policies in Azure.
• Implement Identity Management via SSO across all MS Azure compliant tools used by the business.
• Works with Network Specialist to manage and monitor VPN and firewall rules.
• Works with System Administrator manage and monitor Azure.
• Ensure that IT security audits are conducted periodically or as needed.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of the Business Continuity (BC) and Disaster Recovery (DR) plans.
• Assist in development, maintenance and testing of the company’s security incident response plan.
• Develop and understand all testing necessary for a successful BC/DR execution.
• Assist and mentor desktop support and end users when they need to install or learn about new security products and/or procedures.

We would need you to be or have the following:

• Understanding of risk, threats, and vulnerabilities.
• Strong grasp of technical security controls with practical implementation experience.

• Competence in Certificates, MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication), Vulnerability Management, and Penetration Testing.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform Security Event/Threat Monitoring as part of a 24x7x365 Security Operations Centre.
• Day to day triaging ticket alerts, analyzing using threat intelligence and escalating when required.
• Serve as a technical escalation resource for other SOC Analysts and provide mentoring for junior team members’ skill development.
• Act as an incident responder for the Security Operations Center, leading technical investigations of security incidents and providing customers security expertise.
• Conducting cyber threat research and analysis for purposes of improving visibility and development of the SIEM use case library and playbooks.
• Conduct proactive “Threat Hunting” and investigations in the absence of any known indicator of compromise.
• Contribute to the evaluation of new or updated security solutions with engineering.
• Support and manage various Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), Web Application Firewall (WAF), and Network Intrusion Detection (NIDS) solutions.

Job Requirements

• Hands-on working knowledge with a variety of security technologies and processes including but not limited to:
• 5 years of technical operations experience in Information Security, System Administration, or Network Engineering with at least 3 years of experience in a Security Operations Centre.
• Advanced knowledge and expertise using SIEM technologies for event investigation.
• Knowledge of Windows Active Directory, Group Policies, PowerShell.
• Log analyses for Windows, Linux, Azure/O365/AWS/Google, network and end point security controls.
• Knowledge of the MITRE ATT&CK framework to understand adversaries’ tactics and techniques.
• Network fundamentals including OSI stack, TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, SMTP packet capture and analysis.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

• Recent Graduates from Bachelors or Masters in Cyber Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, and/or completion of a Cybersecurity boot camp. In lieu of education requirements, relevant industry experience will be considered

Salary Range:

$70,000 - $115,000 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
