We're looking to hire a Warehouse Technician in Knoxville, TN. The Warehouse Technician facilitates a smoothly running warehouse environment by ensuring that groundwork processes, procedures, and methods are utilized. The Warehouse Technician ensures the receipt, coordination, organization, and safe storage of materials within the warehouse. The Warehouse Technician tracks delivery arrival and dispatch times, confirms quantities of items needed, and stages materials for production.

Job Responsibilities:

• Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution of materials and equipment.

• Maintains cleanliness of the warehouse.

• Ensures the warehouse is properly secured at all times.

• Assists with maintaining the inventory of products in the warehouse.

• Receives materials, unloads trucks, handles materials, breaks down pallets, and organizes materials.

• Organizes inventory area and tool room in the warehouse based on operational best practices.

• Prioritizes conflicting needs; handles issues expeditiously, and proactively, and follows through to successful completion, often with deadline pressures.

• Operates forklifts, pallet jacks, and various warehouse equipment.

• We work until the job is done right - occasional overtime is required.

• All other duties assigned.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of current OSHA and Forklift Operators license preferred but not required

• Knowledge and understanding of structural foundations, waterproofing and products a plus

• Excellent communication skills both written, oral/verbal required

• Ability to drive light commercial vehicles as required

• Ability to navigate comfortably on computers, tablets and computer software

• Must be professional in manner and appearance

DESCRIPTION:

This individual will have procurement responsibility for the Information Technology and AI categories and a number of special projects and center of excellence activities within the department. Spend responsibility will be for internal Bain Capital spend.

The role requires management of multiple contract negotiations and strategic sourcing initiatives (e.g. RFPs) at any given time. The selected candidate will partner with stakeholders globally at all levels, document results, manage escalations, and highlight concerns for various stakeholder parties including but not limited to Legal, Vendor Risk and Compliance.  The position is critical for advancing our procurement organization, maximizing value of any our supplier relationships, and optimizing pricing and other terms.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead the contract review process for the Information Technology and AI categories; team with Legal counsel to develop contracts ensuring quality and adherence to Legal and Bain Capital standards. 

• Identify, establish, and maintain relationships with key stakeholders

• Execute sourcing initiatives and lead RFPs based on identified opportunities

• Create innovative and stakeholder informed category strategies

• Drive continuous improvement activities within assigned spend portfolio - optimize internal demand / specifications and optimize supplier services / products

• Identify areas of opportunity that relate to the Information Technology category outside of today’s accountabilities; collaborate with appropriate stakeholders to yield value for Bain Capital

• Ensure contracts comply with Bain Capital’s Generative AI Policy and evaluate potential risks associated with use of AI tools

• Contribute to the development and improvement of the department’s strategic, operational, and tactical processes

• Identify areas of rogue or maverick spend and seek to consolidate; globally as appropriate

• Ensure data integrity in all procurement systems for designated areas of spend

• Conduct diligence on new suppliers and project manage onboarding of them

• Contribute to the documentation of initiatives and supplier records in Procurement’s systems

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Degree qualified in relevant discipline or equivalent work experience

• 7+ years Procurement experience

• IT procurement experience highly preferred (IT Services, Software, Hardware, and SaaS)

• Experience managing direct reports

• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communicator across various levels within the organization.

• Strong leadership, project management, and organization skills required. 

• Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to manage and develop supplier relationships. 

• Ability to successfully prioritize and solve for complex problems, perform required analysis and suggest resolutions.

• Knowledge in contract development, including key contracting principles, standard terms, laws/regulations and industry standards.

• Highly motivated performer, with a demonstrated ability to influence and lead others while also working independently in a fast-paced work environment.   

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills preferred.  Must be comfortable creating presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint and presenting to stakeholders and senior leadership.

• Knowledge and experience in principles, practices and trends of indirect category environments and related procurement policies, applicable laws and competitive solicitation practices.

• Comfortable with ambiguity and enjoys managing multiple projects and complex situations

• Strong business acumen, demonstrated ability to work as part of a team, ability to strategically link long-range business goals to daily activities, demonstrated ability to work with others to develop talent for the organization, and desire to use organizational knowledge to assist and influence others to specific action
