Requirements

• Diploma in accounting, finance or equivalent qualifications.
• At least 1 year of working experience in accounting/audit-related roles.
• Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Experience with general ledger functions and full-set accounting is an advantage.
• Working knowledge in QuickBooks/Microsoft Dynamics NAV is an advantage.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the whole process of Accounts Payable.
• Verify vendor's invoices, DO, PO.
• Handle payments to vendors via cheques, Giro, or TT payments (multi-currencies).
• Maintain Accounts Payable ledgers using accounting software.
• Manage employees’ reimbursement requests.
• Handle day-to-day and month-end accounting and reporting functions.
• Prepare bank reconciliation, quarterly GST reporting, monthly cash flow forecasts, etc.
• Provide assistance in year-end audits.
• Handle accounts for overseas-related companies.
• Check claims and payments made by overseas-related companies.
• Ensure the accuracy of month-end reports submitted by overseas-related companies.
• Provide assistance in checking year-end reports submitted by overseas-related companies.
• Assist in ad-hoc administrative duties.

To respond in an efficient, polite and timely manner to all incoming telephone calls To be responsible for the accurate in-put, up-date and amendment of patient related information onto thecomputerised Patient Administration System (PAS), departmental Electronic Referral System (ERS) To ensure the accurate copy and pasting of GP referral letters from ERS onto DOCMAN using multiple programs in a timely manner. To accurately scan paper referral letters onto DOCMAN in a timely manner To process all incoming referral letters in accordance with Trust policy, ensuring accurate input onto the Hospital PAS system and book outpatient appointments within agreed Trust targets. To accurately record reasons for patient cancellations/change of appointments, including re-booking appointments as requested. To be responsible for the booking of interpreters for patient clinic appointments as requested. To amalgamate/register patient temporary registrations ensuring re-numbering is accurate and timely. To take necessary action to book, cancel or change appointments on the PAS. To process and book all ward appointments/secretary lists ensuring patients appointments are booked correctly and in a timely manner. To be responsible for ensuring the daily unfilled slot report is dealt with and new/review patient slots are utilised and filled at short notice. Providing support to secretarial group and Management to ensure Consultant Reviews are actioned in a timely manner. Type on an adhoc basis clinic letters, general letters, discharges and other patient related documentation. Ensuring that all work leaving the department is of the highest quality in terms of presentation and layout, and is despatched within agreed timescales. File tests and loose histories as appropriate. Retrieve, log and return case notes/medical records, keeping these in accordance with Trust policy. Communicate efficiently and professionally with colleagues, clinicians, other Trust personnel, and external agencies at all levels, promoting a positive image of the Trust at all times. Maintain a working knowledge of hospital systems so that enquiries can be dealt with efficiently and appropriately. Participate in team meetings, audits and reviews as instructed by Team Leader in order to generate ideas for service improvement. Use own initiative when dealing with enquiries, ensuring all local procedures and Trust procedures and policies are adhered to, and enquiries are dealt with promptly and courteously.
