Position Responsibilities

• Driving operational and strategic excellence for a world-class, agile, and reliable “engine” that satisfies the operational needs of Medical Technology Manufacturing & Supply Chain.
• Provides leadership to the plant leaders in your cluster.
• Taking the lead in formulating and executing the strategy for the designated cluster, foreseeing mega-trends, navigating complex challenges and opportunities, and ensuring seamless integration with the broader corporate strategy.

Critical Deliverables

• Establishes a world-class manufacturing operational environment and ensures the safety of all employees.
• Lead the development of annual and longer-term business plans for the cluster, ensuring alignment with strategy; quantify business outcomes (i.e. revenues or other key performance indicators) and resource budgets (financial and headcount); and ensure integration of key activities or projects across the organization.
• Take overall responsibility for designing, developing and delivering an organizational change management strategy that achieves desired outcomes. Closely collaborate with MT & Industrialization to optimize operations.
• Manage and report on business performance; hold direct reports accountable for achievement of business plans, and take corrective action where necessary to ensure the achievement of business objectives.
• Ensuring the efficient utilization of resources and driving cost reduction initiatives.

Our client based in Poole has a requirement for an experienced Production Engineer to deliver on strategic goals with regard to new equipment, process methods, production layout and production improvements.

Your main responsibilities will include the following:

- Support the integration of new products into production by identifying and installing work instruction, correct tooling, JIGs and fixtures, line layout etc and is completed ensuring the maximum efficiency is obtained and maintained.
- Support prototype build
- Ensure product has been designed for manufacture.
- Produce PFMEA and other control documentation.
- Design and produce test equipment when necessary for the new products.
- Reduce variability in manufacturing by providing and reviewing standard work methods and work instructions.
- Calculate estimated assembly times and associated costings.
- Ensure product manufacture is efficient and repeatable.
- Training and development of production staff to ensure compliance to standard operating procedures and maintain quality standards.
- Providing engineering / technical support to shop floor operatives to ensure minimal interruptions within production.
- Ensuring a smooth handover from Engineering to Production / Operations.
- Selecting the correct packaging concept.
- Ensuring assembly and product is produced as per relevant accreditations, PPAP….
- Implementing 6S into the production process of the product.
- Using LEAN methodology in the production process.

Applicants must have recent experience of working as a Production Engineer and hold an HND or equivalent in Mechanical, Industrial or Production Engineering.
Previous exposure to lean manufacturing methods and quality methodologies such as 5S Kanban, 6-sigma (Green Belt or higher) would be a distinct advantage, as would experience with 3D CAD (SolidWorks/Autodesk Inventor) on equipment, systems and components.
You will have a desire to identify and implement improvements.
Experience of the production engineering of castings, injection moulding, gear design and assembly techniques would be a distinct advantage, as would experience of flowline manufacture.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and implement all aspects of planning and operations relating to the realisation of exhibitions and other projects, as well as, care of artwork collections

• Defining a consistent taxonomy for Business Services, associated functions and Engineering Services
• Enabling dependency mapping of those Services to the assets they rely on, including systems, people, processes, vendors and facilities
• Creating a scenario catalog with impact tolerances/error budgets, ensuring recovery plans are in place and automating regular testing

As a Production Specialist, you will perform various tasks and duties in the facility. Initially you will work under close supervision as you learn the work types and special requirements that our clients demand. The Production Specialist receives materials, performs warehouse put-aways, sets up and execute projects, operates high-speed production printers and intelligent inserters, and mails personalized materials on behalf of our customers.

• Setup, operate, and troubleshoot equipment in production areas and accompanying procedures

• Perform shipping, receiving, material handling, put-away, and picking of raw materials and finished goods per daily production schedules and service requirements

• Execute job setup and production planning to meet demanding client deliverables

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for achieving product global regulatory compliance in areas of electromagnetic compatibility, product safety, wireless and telecom.
• Work with cross functional teams (Regulatory, R&D, CPE, Ops, external R&D/CPE/Ops Partner) and external agencies in delivering product regulations that meet the ever-changing world-wide regulatory standards.
• Engage in product regulatory certification application & renewal for both NPI & CPE, encompassing Safety, Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC), Telecom, Product Stewardship & Cybersecurity, as to consistently meet product compliance.
• Participate in Safety/EMC/Wireless/Telecom/Cybersecurity technical groups hosted under WTR (Worldwide Technical Regulations). Partners with external manufacturing partners cum 3rd-party test laboratories in delivering seamless regulatory goals & commitments.
• Partner with R&D, CPE & Ops in qualification activities - on design improvement, cost reduction, alternate sourcing, assurance of supply, factory line relocation & sustainability efforts, while optimizing qualification cost vs time-to-market delivery.
• Actively engaged with partners in design reviews to in-build a robust Safety compliance to our product design.
• Review LES Regulations processes & framework to uphold compliance to HP's Safe & Legal requirements.
• Assess & anticipate regulatory standards changes that have potential readiness impact to system/hardware design, factory build, shipment fulfilment, and to incorporate these expectations early into program & supply delivery chain.
• Ensure closure to country market surveillance, factory inspection audit & safety incident.
• Support digitization & automation, workflow process optimization within Regulations & HW Test.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Electronics/Electrical/ Electromechanical Engineering, or equivalent.

OTHER INFORMATION

• Minimum 3 years of Electrical and Electronic Engineering or any relevant engineering experience
• Strong in analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good knowledge in Data Analytics (Excel VBA, Power BI, SQL database management), with good data visualization skill.
