Provide clear leadership and take management responsibility for the effective delivery of the multi-disciplinary services carried out by the team
Requirements of the Occupational Therapy Clinical Team Manager:
• Degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy
• Recent UK experience working as an Occupational Therapist
• Recent NHS experience
• Registered with the HCPC

Roles & Responsibilities:
• Set up and manage the clinical laboratory with MOH license and other licenses such as College of American Pathologists (CAP), fire safety, etc.
· Carry out day-to-day laboratory operations.
· Establish, implement and maintain laboratory protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
· Carry out validation and monitoring of test procedures and protocols to achieve required precision and accuracy.
· Perform, record and interpret results of quality control procedures.
· Carry out and monitor corrective and preventive action implementations.
· Establish and carry out risk assessment for the laboratory.
· Set up and manage laboratory information management system (LIMS).
· Liaise with partners to carry out laboratory audits and proficiency testing.
· Troubleshoot and resolve laboratory issues.
· Manage laboratory inventory, including procurement of consumables, reagents, equipment, and fixtures.
· Liaise with vendors on the servicing, maintenance and repair of laboratory equipment.
· Ensure upkeep of the laboratory premise.
· Recruit, train and manage clinical laboratory staff.
· Coordinate clinical and research projects with partners and clients.
· Plan and monitor the laboratory operations budget and P&L.
Requirements:
• Degree in Biochemistry, Biomedical Science, Medical Laboratory Technology or related discipline.
· Minimum 5 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
· Experience in setting up laboratory for MOH license or other accreditations.
· Good laboratory and strong analytical skills.
· Able to work independently and complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.
· Meticulous and well-organized.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
· Highly motivated and willing to learn.

We are looking for a great manager for the Health Assessment and Physiotherapy teams at our bustling Nuffield Health Exeter Hospital site. The role of Integrated Clinical services Manager is to ensure a genuinely exceptional client experience throughout the two teams, covering inpatient & outpatient physiotherapy services and the health screening offerings delivered by physiologists and GPs.
You will be expected to maintain a clinical caseload, to participate in the CPD and in-service training schedule and weekend working where necessary. You will also be involved in marketing and promotion of the department within the local area.

The Role
The hospital is brilliantly placed to support and mentor the successful candidate for this role, alongside our academy training programmes. As Manager you will;
be expected to manage the Physiotherapy and Health Assessment services within the framework of robust clinical governance, professional standards and the Healthcare Standards Act 2000.
be responsible for managing the daily operational needs of each team, departmental budgets, health and safety documents and updates, line manage a mixture of employees including GPs, physiotherapists, physiologists, clinical assistants and administrative staff, and strive to achieve all the set key performance indicators. You will oversee any clinical incidents or complaints.
Ensure regular monitoring and audits of the standards of treatment and services provided.
be expected to maintain a small clinical caseload delivering high quality and effective care that is evidence based, Safe, Effective, Caring, Well-led and Responsive to our patient's needs. You will contribute as a practising physiotherapist to treat a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions and post operative cases, playing a key role in helping our patients achieve, maintain, and recover to the level of health and wellbeing that they aspire to.
be expected to participate in the team CPD and in-service training schedule. You will have a personal CPD budget to encourage you to continue your own learning and striving for clinical excellence.
As the leader of two teams you will have peer support available from other hospital Heads of Departments, your Regional Clinical Leads for Physiotherapy, Physiology and GPs, along with strong leadership from the Senior Management team on site.
The Person
You will need to have:
Proven post qualification clinical experience
Operational management experience within a healthcare setting is desirable
Financial management experience within a healthcare setting is desirable
Significant experience in physiotherapy delivery
Experience of working within a multidisciplinary team
Evidence of leadership within a team of health care professionals
Candidates must be computer literate as we use an electronic patient record system
Have a BSc in Physiotherapy or equivalent; you'll be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP)

The Exeter Nuffield hospital is based next to the RD&E hospital in Wonford, Exeter. The hospital has 2 theatres, as well as a hybrid cardiac catheter laboratory/theatre and an Endoscopy suite. There are two ward areas: an inpatient area with 21 beds and a day-case ward with 12 beds. We also have a busy outpatient department, pharmacy, physiotherapy, and radiology department including an MRI scanner. We specialise in elective orthopaedic and spinal surgery, cardiology including invasive procedures, general surgery, plastics and cosmetic surgery, ENT, and gynaecology. The Hospital has a MAKO robot that undertakes some of the joint replacement surgery which we have become well known for in this field of surgery.
