Exercises a personal duty of care in relation to equipment, resource and stock control utilising equipment and supplies appropriately. Clinical Provide high quality care as an expert practitioner and act as a role model and resource for advice, support and guidance. Provides specialised advice contributing to the diagnosis and care of patients. Where appropriate to the services patient demographic, to developmentally appropriate, young person friendly healthcare to support young people; including support for transition, as they move from childrens into adult services between the ages 11-25 years. Responsibility for ensuring setting, monitoring and seeking to continuously improve standards and the quality of patient care. Undertake clinical procedures where dexterity and accuracy are required. Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care and treatments using specialist clinical knowledge and clinical skills. Make clinical assessments and treatment decisions within clearly defined policies and protocols. Organises own clinical workload. Undertake duties on wards or departments as and when required by service demands or patient need. Supervise clinical staff to promote the delivery of excellent clinical standards. Receives supervision of clinical care and outcomes from nurse specialist team leader. Act in accordance with the relevant professional code i.e. NMC. Fulfil the requirements as directed by the Nursing and Midwifery Council to maintain and revalidate registration. Ensure and promote the maintenance of a safe, clean and secure working environment. Act in such a way that safeguards the health and wellbeing of children and vulnerable adults at all times. Is familiar with and adheres to, the Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust (LTHT) safeguarding policies. Provide education and training to patients and their carers. Keep up to date with developments, advances within the specialty. Participate in specialist national, regional and local conferences as agreed with Matron. Support staff to deliver evidence based practice and research activities to further enhance patient care. Your Qualifications:

Registered Qualified Nurse with a valid Pin
Minimum of 2 years of leadership/management experience within a care home environment
Level 5 qualification or working towards achieving this to enable registration with Social Care Wales
Dementia qualification or experience caring for residents on a dementia journey desirable.
Your Role as a Clinical Services Manager:

Lead and guide the Clinical Team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and clinical excellence.

Job Description:

• Extensive knowledge of Nursing acquired through significant experience in a Senior Clinical role.
• Demonstrable experience in quality, safety, and operational leadership with a clear focus on the development and sustainability of services from a quality, outcomes and experience perspective with a clear drive and passion for service change, quality improvement, delivery, and transformation.
• Experience of meeting regulatory compliance standards and the provision, maintenance, and reporting of data to meet compliance.
• Demonstrable experience of the ability to work autonomously, initiating and organizing workloads, delegating appropriately, responding to changing priorities and meeting tight deadlines.
• Demonstrable experience of the ability to make difficult decisions autonomously.
• Demonstrable experience in preparing and delivering Training to enable others to achieve quality and compliance standards across the company.
• Establish new and revise existing quality procedures and tools in support of audit and compliance activities.
• Identify quality process and system improvements and implement timely actions.
• Assist the clinical development organization in establishing procedures to support a risk-based approach to oversight of clinical trials using principles of quality by design and quality risk management.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders in the development and implementation of comprehensive internal (systems and procedures) and external (investigator sites and vendors) audit programs and plans.
• Serve as a quality subject matter expert and provide guidance to development personnel performing investigations, root cause analysis, and capas through knowledge of quality concepts and techniques.
• Participate on cross-functional teams as subject matter expert in GCP/GLP/GVP to provide guidance and risk-based options that promote compliance.
• Identify and communicate quality and compliance risks and participate in determination of appropriate planning to resolve and address issues and risks.
• Lead the strategy and activities in support of health authority GCP/GLP/GVP inspections.
• Review clinical study documents and check for consistency and compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices.
• Coordinate projects to successfully meet timelines.

Job Requirement:

• Registered nurse or enrolled nurse background with a passion for patient care.
• Possesses the art of service excellence.
• Experience in management of feedback and service recovery.
• Well-versed in the operations of a service industry.

The post holders time will be spent in leadership, clinical and health service innovation, and partnership working. The clinical leadership fellow role is an important and vital role supporting the full function of CITI and its aims and ambitions in cultivating and catalysing an innovation and transformative culture within our clinical teams. The fellow works closely with the clinical directorates providing that bridge to connect, develop and co-create in the innovation and improvement areas, but also provides high level expertise and experience to enhance and compliment the delivery and innovation teams within CITI. The fellow role acts as an expert in residence for CITI, but also works with the clinical teams in piloting innovative practice and products. The fellow role will need to be able to interact, engage and evaluate conversations and interactions with industry, stakeholders, entrepreneurs and innovators, and therefore will need some experience in this field. Figbury Lodge is a 60 bedded care service that provides a mixture of nursing, residential and dementia beds, with an additional 20 transitional beds.
Salary: up to £75,000 depending on experience

Objectives

General Management

To manage effectively the Service’s budgets and deliver the Key Performance Indicators set for the Service.
To ensure that the Service complies with all statutory obligations and relevant legislation (e.g. environmental health, health and safety).
To enable Service Users to control their own financial affairs, where possible, and finances monitored with up to date accurate records kept of all transactions. In the case of the Manager being the appointee for any Service User, the financial control of their affairs must be undertaken
To ensure that the culture of meaningful activities is embedded in the Service and facilitated by the entire team

Essential Requirements

Qualified Nurse with a valid PIN
Caring and Compassionate
Experience of Managing a service of a similar size and client group
