THE OPPORTUNITY:

A Senior Medical Science Liaison/Senior Medical Scientific Liaison is a field-based disease state expert responsible for supporting company’s strategic and scientific objectives, by exchanging scientific information with rostered scientific leaders about an assigned product and therapeutic area (TA) through balanced discussion. Providing accurate, fair and balanced scientific exchange is a core function. The MSL’s interactions with scientific leaders are organic, comprehensive peer-to-peer discussions enabling their assessment of evolving standards of care for patients and research opportunities. Scientific exchange allows the MSL to collect insights regarding gaps in understanding and data needed by the healthcare community that can be shared with the wider organization.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Primary Activities – Accountabilities, Supervision:

• Being product and disease state experts who engage in non-promotional scientific exchange with SLs or KDMs (Scientific Leaders or Key Decision Makers).
•  Execute Field Medical Engagement Plans within the scope of local and global policies, local rules and regulations and aligned with the Field Medical SOP.
• The MSL is responsible for ensuring that they are fully versed in the therapeutic area and up-to-date on: all major studies, both ongoing and completed; product information on company and other companies’ relevant therapies; clinical data and relevant pipeline data to provide the most accurate data to SLs, KDMS and the healthcare community, in a balanced way, to improve patient care.
• The MSL’s primary responsibility is to engage in non-promotional peer-to-peer communication with medical/scientific information to SLs and KDMs on their roster, based on scientific exchange and services oriented towards the stakeholder’s professional interests & needs.
• May have chance to cover multiple countries based on company franchise strategies.

They do this by:

• Defining and maintaining a roster of Scientific Leaders and Key Decision Makers in their therapeutic area.
• Interacting with identified Scientific Leaders and healthcare administrators (KDMs) by exchanging balanced medical / scientific information and by appropriately communicating these exchanges with internal colleagues.
• Utilizing scientific and medical expertise to communicate scientific information in individual and group presentations.
• Respond to unsolicited requests for medical, scientific, pipeline, organization product information from SLs or KDMs utilizing appropriate approved scientific materials and appropriately documenting the use of these resources.
• Providing insights internally on scientific gaps, ideas and other topics gathered from Scientific exchange to inform areas of interest, clinical trial programs, development programs and company TA strategy.
• Alert investigators to our program for Investigator Initiated Study Proposals (MISP) and to the process for submitting investigator designed proposals for review and approval; encourage and facilitate research publication of MISP studies supported by the company, in strict compliance with global/local guidance regarding MISP's.
• Work with GMA/GCTO to identify potential investigators for Phase 1, 2 and 3 clinical trials
• Ensuring various engagement metrics (both quantitative and qualitative) are achieved.
• Providing on-label medical insights and training to internal colleagues including the organization and competitor products and disease state with their therapeutic knowledge.
• Attending / participating in scientific congresses/meetings in Singapore and internationally to understand the role of emerging data on patient treatment within the TA covered, when requested, allowing for more balanced Scientific exchange.
•  Support the preparation of non-promotional Medical Education Programs

ABOUT YOU:

Skills, Knowledge, Experience & Qualifications required:

About You
As the Higher Degree by Research (HDR) Student Programs Coordinator, you will be integral to elevating the academic journey of HDR students at the College, aligning with the institution's strategic vision. You will be responsible for providing operational and administrative support to the COBL Research and Innovation leadership team, ensuring an enriching environment for HDR students, overseeing administrative aspects of research events and collaborating on HDR-specific initiatives with the COBL Research Training Services Team and the School of Graduate Research.

This is an exciting time for SMG's Archives and Libraries with our new strategy setting out how our collections will be the best in the world in our fields: well-understood, well-housed and accessible (physically and digitally) and used effectively by us and others for research, display, learning and pleasure.

The Dana Research Centre and Library at the Science Museum, provides open access to around 7,000 books and periodicals covering the history and biography of science, technology, and medicine, as well as providing access to the Science Museum's rich collections of archives and rare books.

To support the library, we are now seeking a Senior Archive and Library Assistant to be based at the Science Museum in London, on a full time permanent basis.

About the role

This new role will work closely with the Science Museum Librarian, Systems and E-resources Librarian, Collections and Research and Public History teams to support the Science Museum's priorities, and the development and intellectual care of the collection. You will play a key role in providing access to Dana Research Centre and Library. You will be responsible for ordering and cataloguing library material, including for other sites, maintaining the public library space, and supporting access to archives and rare books.

Job Description

Our Clinical Research and Pharmacovigilance team push the boundaries of global healthcare through research and innovation. Through clinical trials and surveillance, we ensure the safety and efficacy of our existing and pipeline products to produce safe, effective, innovative medicine.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

This role is primarily accountable for the end-to-end performance and project management for assigned protocols in a country in compliance with ICH/GCP and country regulations, our policies and procedures, quality standards and adverse event reporting requirements internally and externally. The CRM could be responsible for a particular study for several countries in a cluster.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Main Point of Contact (POC) for assigned protocols and link between Country Operations and clinical trial team (CTT).

• Responsible for project management of the assigned studies: pro-actively plans, drives and tracks execution and performance of deliverables/timelines/results to meet country commitments from feasibility and site selection, recruitment, execution and close out.

• Accountable for performance for assigned protocols in a country in compliance with ICH/GCP and country regulations, our policies and procedures, quality standards and adverse event reporting requirements internally and externally.

• Reviews Monitoring Visits Reports and escalates performance issues and training needs to CRA manager and/or functional vendor and internal management as needed. o Performs Quality control visits as required.

• Leads local study teams to high performance: trains in the protocol other local roles, closely collaborates with and supports CRAs as protocol expert and coordinates activities across the different local country roles ensuring a strong collaboration (including the CTC, CRAs and COM).

• Responsible for creating and executing a local risk management plan for assigned studies.

• Ensures compliance with CTMS, eTMF and other key systems in assigned studies.

• Escalates as needed different challenges and issues to TA Head/CRD/CCQM and or CTT (as appropriate).

• Identifies and shares best practices across clinical trials, countries, clusters.

• Responsible for collaboration with functional outsourcing vendors, investigators, other external partners in assigned studies.

• Country POC for programmatically outsourced trials for assigned protocols.

• In this position, you will be responsible for building business relationships and representing our company to investigators as a customer-facing role.

• Serves local business needs as applicable in their country (if delegated can sign contracts and manage budgets).

• Supports local and regional strategy development consistent with long‐term corporate needs in conjunction with CRD, TAH and Regional Operations.

Job Description:

The Work Site Support Specialist is responsible for providing a work-based learning experience in a competitive integrated setting for eligible VR clients who are enrolled in high school. The Work Site Support Specialist will facilitate on-site support, as well as lead classroom discussion using ODEP’s soft skills curriculum for the development of employability skills in a real work environment. The Specialist completes necessary plans, reports and paperwork, as assigned.

Essential Job Functions:

• Coordinate students’ work-based learning experiences within the Pre-Employment Training - Work Experience Program with VR.
• Facilitate on-site support for students who will work a total of 16 hours at the identified worksite(s) over the course of four days within each week, with a target of 4 hours worked per day.
• During each 20-hour week of the program, the summer work employment specialist incorporates four hours of soft skills training per week and review/discuss on site experiences. This can be done at various times throughout each day, including at the beginning and end of each work shift.
• Support students on the worksite by facilitating individuals’ full integration into the
• worksite and serve as a mediator between co-workers and supervisors as necessary.
• Prepare plans, reports, and other paperwork as needed.
• Obtain information about student through intake process, including meetings with students and their families, VR Counselors, and school personnel in order to understand and know the student's strengths, skills, capacities, needs, vocational and other interests.
• Coordinate students’ new hire paperwork, orientation and weekly timesheets.
• Transports students to and from the worksite as needed.
• Reports worksite outcomes and other relevant information regarding progress/activity of student to Leadership and/or referral source as required.

The Cornell Small Farms Program engages in research and extension projects and creates resources to support anyone farming or seeking to farm in NYS. This individual will serve as Lead Coordinator of a new project, which aims to support and connect Asylum Seekers with careers and livelihoods in New York State. In this role, the project lead will work to increase awareness and training opportunities for individuals seeking employment in the New York State agricultural industry. Specific tasks include collaboration with service provider agencies to host (virtual and in-person) educational events/workshops for employment seekers and creating efficient strategies to connect job seekers with employment opportunities. This position will require the ability and willingness to connect with diverse groups of Asylum Seekers currently residing in New York City.
