What does our Internship Program offer?
Key’s Retail Banking Internship is a 12-week rotational program that provides interns an opportunity to work alongside our Bankers operating from a KeyBank branch. Interns will learn customer service, conversational banking skills, and how to create a great client experience while helping bring our Financial Wellness strategy to life. High-performing interns will have an opportunity to be considered for a full-time retail banking position as well as admission into Key’s Leadership Excellence Acceleration Program after six months’ employment.
Interns will be involved in a host of retail bank line of business specific work that directly impact and benefit Key’s business and strategic pillars. The program includes networking with Key teammates across all levels of the consumer bank, an executive speaker series that will provide insight on Key’s competitive landscape, financial wellness, and professional development best practices. Interns will be provided with mentorship and will receive consistent feedback that will spark excitement and interest in bringing one’s full-time career to Key post college.
Key Retail Bank
The Retail Bank serves individuals and small businesses by offering a variety of deposit and investment products, personal finance, and financial wellness services. Our goal is to support our clients along their financial wellness journey and celebrate their achievements, as they save to own their first home or prepare to retire. The branch network is spread throughout KeyBank’s fifteen footprint states and is aligned into 26 markets within six geographic regions and two territories.
Job Responsibilities
Embodies a strong client experience culture, being present with every client and teammate and realizing the impact we can have on their day, personally, professionally, and financially.
Participate as an active member of the branch team, following the Branch Playbook and participating in daily huddles
Support of branch operations including assisting with client transactions on the Teller line as needed or acting as a financial wellness associate

Shadows branch platform teammates and line of business partners in client appointments and business calling activities
