The Earth Observatory of Singapore (EOS) is a research institute at the Nanyang Technological University (NTU) of Singapore. Its mission is to conduct fundamental research on earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, tsunami and climate change in and around Southeast Asia, toward safer and more sustainable societies. The Centre for Geohazard Observations (CGO) of EOS provides technical and research support to the observatory. The Senior Research Engineer is to enable the research conducted by EOS by providing effective technical and technological solutions in installing, maintaining and managing the various geohazard observation stations, and conducting field surveys. The purpose is to measure and collect quality field data necessary for the tectonic, volcanic and climate related research of the observatory.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, install and maintain geohazard observation stations and networks in and round Southeast Asia that collect geophysical, geodetic and geochemical data for research. The stations include but not limited to Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) station, seismic station, volcano observation stations, infrasound network and environmental observation station.
• Design, install and maintain technical systems, such as the power system, radio/telemetry system, data networking system, fault monitoring system for the geohazard observation stations.
• Plan, organise, conduct local and overseas fieldwork for the installation, maintenance and rectification of the geohazard observation stations.
• Plan, organise and conduct geophysical field measurements using modern surveying equipment.
• Monitor the operational status of the geohazard observation stations remotely, devise fault rectification plan and rectify remotely where possible.
• Coordinate with collaborators for the conduct of installation and maintenance fieldwork.
• Perform data quality check and basic data processing.

Job Requirements:

• Implement and simulate key LLM workload behaviors in NVIDIA's proprietary processor and system simulators to enable future architecture studies.

• Build tools to automate workload analysis, workload optimization, and other critical workflows.

What We Need To See:

• PhD (or equivalent experience) in CS, EE or CSEE and 5+ years; or MS and 8+ years of relevant work experience.

• Strong background in deep learning and neural networks, in particular training and large language models.

• Deep understanding of computer architecture, and familiarity with the fundamentals of GPU architecture.

• Expertise in analyzing and tuning application performance, preferably on GPUs.

• Familiarity with common deep learning software packages like PyTorch and JAX.

• Prior experience with processor and system-level performance modelling.

• Programming skills in C++, Python, and CUDA.

The base salary range is 180,000 USD - 339,250 USD. A qualified candidate will be self-motivated with strong technical and analytical skills as well as possess practical and hands-on approach to engineering control in the areas of metrology management

Responsibilities:

· Recipe creation and optimisation for new R&D applications requirement.
- Preventive and corrective maintenance planning cum execution and vendor management.

· To take charge of new tools technical assessment and tender creation (equipment cum process application startup) and service contract tender set-up

· Drive continuous improvement projects (CIP) to achieve better measurement repeatability (MSA, GR&R, SPC etc).

· To set-up appropriate process and product control plan and out of control action plans (OCAP)

· Provide technical training to related staff on best-known practices in terms of application metrology recipe creation.

Requirement:

· Bachelor degree in Electrical and Electronics, Material, Physics or Chemical engineering

· Minimum 3~5 years of hands-on semiconductor experience (preferably in metrology application and equipment maintenance)

· Possess computer soft ware skills (i.e. JMP, Minitab, SQL, Visual basic, etc)

· Knowledge in problem solving and quality control skills (i.e. LEAN 6sigma, RCA, DOE, etc)
