DaVita is looking for a Dialysis Tech to serve our patients at our Mid Ohio Dialysis Center in Ontario, OH.

Some details about this position:

• Operational Hours: MWF 4:30am - 6:30pm (and every other Tuesday 4 hours for bleaching) - Clinic hours may change dependent on patient census
• PCTs expected shifts for this clinic: 3-4 days/week with a minimum of two Saturdays/month and can be asked to start as early as 4:00 am
• Hours of work may vary during the training period; however, you will typically be working between 32-40 hours per week during training
• You must have a flexible schedule and be able to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holiday

Requirements:

• Health care experience preferred including: BONENT Certified, Certified Hemodialysis Technician (CHT), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), or Phlebotomy certification.

What you can expect:

• Direct Patient Care. Spend the majority of your day in direct one-on-one patient care to provide safe, comfortable and hygienic dialysis treatment. Our PCTs care for up to 4-5 patients at a time.
• Technician Duties. In the morning, the opening PCT is coming in to get the water room ready and the bicarb for the patients.  They are testing the water for chlorine, checking to make sure the tools are calibrated.  There are a lot of duties in the morning. To monitor patients before, during and after dialysis treatment including measuring and recording stats, patient observations, and hemodialysis machine setup. Please note you will have exposure to blood and needles.
• Physical requirements: Ability to lift minimum of 5 pounds to a maximum of 50 pounds unassisted; able to perform repetitive standing, sitting, stooping, walking, stretching, reaching, and use full range of body motions • Ability to interact in person and by phone clearly and efficiently • Ability to use computer and all peripherals as needed to meet goals I have read and understand the duties and expectations of this position

• Building long-term relationships with your patients who are suffering from end stage renal disease and are receiving treatment on average 3 times/week. You will also be responsible for educating patients on Kidney Dialysis related topics.

Responsibilities:

Patient Care: Provide direct care to patients undergoing dialysis treatment, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and assessing patient response to treatment. Machine Setup and Operation: Set up and operate hemodialysis machines according to prescribed procedures and protocols. Treatment Monitoring: Monitor patients during dialysis treatment to ensure safe and effective therapy, including observing for any adverse reactions or complications. Documentation: Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient information, treatment plans, and procedures performed. Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of dialysis equipment to ensure proper functioning and compliance with safety standards. Sets up and operates haemodialysis machine to provide dialysis treatment for patients with kidney failure
o Attach dialyzer and tubing to machine and prime the extracorporeal circuits with 0.9% normal saline to prepare machine for use.
o Label dialyser & blood lines with patient name & ID prior to the first use (excluded single use).
o Preparing dialysis solutions and mixing bicarbonate according to formula
o Explains dialysis procedure and operation of haemodialysis machine to patient before treatment to allay anxieties.
o Connects haemodialysis machine to patient’s access site to initiate dialysis.
o Monitor haemodialysis machine for malfunction.
o Maintain all the log books, forms & registers.

Directly responsible for the provision of an Estate maintenance service for the Community in line with the Master Services Agreement (MSA) with the Trust to manage all physical assets and resources. Managing the development of a clear and concise register of the community estate infrastructure recoding its current use, capacity, condition, location and functional suitability to support the delivery of an effective healthcare service. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs dialysis equipment, ancillary equipment, and water treatment systems.

• Maintains the physical plant, as directed.

• Ensures outside vendor services are completed per contract.

• Purchases and retain an inventory of service parts.

• Performs, evaluates, and reports water/dialysate sample collection and any actions required.

• Conducts daily, weekly, and monthly trend analysis on the water system to assure system functions as designed.

EDUCATION AND CREDENTIALS:

• High school diploma or G.E.D. required.
• Associate Degree in electronics / biomedical technology, or equivalent (preferred but not required)
• Valid Driver's License issued in the employee’s state of residence required.

Group Facilities Helpdesk Administrator

The Role

As Group Facilities Helpdesk Administrator you will report directly to the Head of Facilities and be responsible for maintaining and updating the Facilities Compliance Dashboard and individual Home Compliance records. You will direct and signpost calls and emails to the internal team or to external suppliers and contractors as appropriate. You will also build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support Homes to remain legally compliant, safe and fit for purpose.

Some details about this position:

• Operational Hours: MWF 4:45 am - 7:00 pm, TThS 6:30 am - 6:00 pm
• PCTs expected shifts for this clinic: 3-4 days/week with a minimum of two Saturdays/month and can be asked to start as early as 4:00 am

In the morning, the opening PCT is coming in to get the water room ready and the bicarb for the patients.  They are testing the water for chlorine, checking to make sure the tools are calibrated.  There are a lot of duties in the morning. We are looking for an exceptional individual to lead our Community and Primary Care Estate on behalf of the Northumbria Healthcare Group.
The Community and Primary Care estate accommodates almost 1million out of hospital patient appointments every year. The estate is geographically spread across Northumberland and North Tyneside with over 120 properties in the portfolio with estate operating costs of £7m pa. We have an ambition to transition the estate management function to a forward looking and strategically focussed service.
The role will be responsible for developing and embedding a new and robust estate strategy ensuring the best possible patient and staff experience from an estate that is used in the most efficient and affordable way possible. The role will lead on the strategic development of this estate alongside overseeing the day to day operation of our facilities covering all aspects from appraisal and feasibility studies, business case production, project management, leasing arrangements and the delivery of core facilities services.
As a key member of the NHFM Executive team you will provide senior leadership and technical advice across the organisation for the Community and Primary Care estate, working closely and developing key relationships with the Board, the Trust Executive, the Community Business Unit and our primary care subsidiary company, Northumbria Primary Care.

To develop and deliver the Community & Primary Care Estate strategy aligned to the objectives of the Trust ensuring the estate reflects the views, strategic ambitions and changing models of care across the health economy. To ensure the effective management of the Community estate including management of lease and sessional agreements, compliance with all statutory and mandatory requirements and the safe operation and effective maintenance of all critical building services and estate fabric.
The postholder will be the professional lead and expert for all estates and infrastructure across the community estate and will provide support on the Trust net zero programme.
To act as a member of the Executive team in NHFM, deputising for the Managing Director where necessary and working to an honorary contract with the Trust to provide professional guidance on all Estates and Facilities related matters.
The Deputy Director is accountable to the Managing Director for the provision of an effective estate strategy and support service for the Community and Primary care estate. To contribute to and ensure the delivery of strategic and operational service objectives and corporate policies set by the NHFM Board and its customers. Together with the Managing Director, the Deputy Director will foster a culture, which engages, all staff and all other colleagues in the development and delivery of project and contract requirements.

Directly responsible for the provision of an Estate maintenance service for the Community in line with the Master Services Agreement (MSA) with the Trust to manage all physical assets and resources.

Managing the development of a clear and concise register of the community estate infrastructure recoding its current use, capacity, condition, location and functional suitability to support the delivery of an effective healthcare service.

Directly control and manage all Estates & Facilities pay and non-pay budgets ensuring that all budgets are kept within agreed financial limits set and value for money is obtained at all times.

Management and design of minor works and small capital schemes, evaluating quotations and tender returns, oversee commissioning and sign off of capital and minor works and undertaking post project evaluations.

Key liaison with all landlords, property partners and sessional accommodation providers to ensure the estate remains appropriately managed, fit for purpose and legally compliant at all times.

Ensure that any design and specifications are produced in line with the Department of Health (DH) HBN’s and HTM

To assist in the delivery of a number of complex estates projects and to provide support to stakeholders to ensure that we adopt a ‘do once, do right’ approach towards our infrastructure to facilitate value for money and best outcomes for our patients

Ensure that all internal and external building fabric and decoration is in a sound condition and maintained to relevant national published quality condition standards.

Monitor the quality of all third-party, contracted-out Estates & Facilities services ensuring performance, compliance and value for money at all times.

The ability to motivate staff and create multi-disciplined cohesive teams.

You will bring your experience and specialist expertise but also your passion and creativity. You will need to be an excellent communicator and successful influencer to lead the thinking on this agenda and a new robust estate strategy.You must have a proven track record of managing community and primary care portfolios. As the Maintenance Person, your role will be to ensure the premises and grounds are maintained to a high standard and provide the residents with a safe, comfortable and pleasant environment in which to live.

Key Responsibilities

At the commencement of each day check maintenance books in the home and carry out repairs as required or contact engineers/service agent where applicable. (agreement by Home Manager).
Complete all checks as stipulated in the Facilities Manual, on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis as required. To familiarise yourself with the contractors call out system and their responsibilities in the home. To familiarise yourself with Homes emergency procedures i.e. fire, gas leak.
Undertake maintenance of specific items of equipment e.g. Vent-Axia fans as designated by the Manager, maintaining records in accordance with Company Guidelines.
Undertake basic electrical checks on all equipment, i.e. ensuring that all plugs and cables equipment are visually checked for signs of damage, labelling is legible and correct. Any faults are reported to the Home Manager and Electrical Contractor.
Ensure that daily/weekly/monthly fire checks are completed which includes the fire alarm system, fire extinguisher and fire doors and record findings. Ensure the appropriate remedial action is taken (i.e. contact Service Company).
Maintain all items of equipment and tools in a clean, safe and secure manner.
Pre-weekend check; lights, electrical, heating, prior to the weekend or Bank holidays.
To ensure monthly meter readings of gas, electricity and water are submitted to the Administrator/Manager on specified dates.
To ensure deliveries to the Home are stored and checked as appropriate.
To ensure all storage areas (excluding kitchen area) are clean and tidy and security is maintained.
All Internal, external doors and pathways are kept clear and that any defects are reported to the Home Manager/Service Contractor
Undertake general redecoration works as instructed by the Home Manager.
Undertake ground maintenance, keeping the grass cut, shrubs, bushes and hedges pruned and the site generally weed free.
Where appropriate plant specific items to enhance the appearance of the grounds.
Advise on specific areas of planting and general gardening maintenance.
Use and maintain the equipment provided in a safe and secure manner.
Ensure that all deficiencies in security and safety are reported to the Home Manager and relevant
To be aware of maintaining resident’s privacy and to communicate with nursing staff should works be required which will affect resident care.
To liaise with the Home Manager at least once a week to discuss maintenance issues, re-decoration etc.
Where necessary and under the direction of the Home Manager, assist in the collation of performance indicator data/evidence.

Skills & Experience

Relevant building maintenance experience
A sound understanding of the main Health & Safety Regulations, including COSHH and risk assessment
