Working at BlackBerry’s headquarters in Waterloo, ON, the Senior Accounting Analyst will join a team of dynamic and experienced accounting professionals to develop and implement accounting policies and procedure. You will be responsible to provide timely and accurate financial information to the management team, prepare monthly financial package, perform monthly account reconciliations and various other month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing activities.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain Fixed Asset Records, including but not limited to, depreciation, schedules and reconcile FAM to GL ledger.
• Review and reconcile local book fixed asset ledgers maintained by service providers to FAM on a quarterly basis.
• Prepare and maintain prepaid assets schedules.
• Prepare and analyze Balance Sheet Account reconciliation, including prepaids, and intercompany.
• Support quarterly/yearly closes and prepare management reports.
• Provide support gathering evidence for external Audit testing for various regions (Asia Pac, EMEA and NA).
• Ensure compliance with SOX requirements.
• Coordinate/complete mandatory business survey questionaries' from various government agencies (i.e. Statistics Canada, US Census Bureau).
• Recommends accounting process improvements for efficiency, as necessary.
•  Assist with ad hoc inquires and requests.

Qualifications/Experience:

• Canadian or US CPA designation, with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Require a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in accounting.
• Knowledge of NetSuite ERP System.
• Advance Excel skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse team members.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting field.
• CPA preferred, although not required.
• Excellent in organizing, planning and time management skills and able to multi-task.

The Platform Director is the business partner for store operation leaders and oversees certain accounting functions in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles, financial management techniques and practices appropriate within the industry. Dealership Accounting Coordinator I

The Dealership Accounting Coordinator (“DAC”) I is an individual contributor who supports in-store accounting operations leadership and is a key contributor to ensure effective communication and collaboration between Lithia Home Office (“LHO”), the regional Accounting Processing Center (“APC”) and store operations.

The DAC I generally will report to either a Business Manager (“BM”) or Accounting Supervisor.

Responsibilities (NOTE:  In some instances, depending on assigned work function, job duties may emphasize certain elements more than others.)

• Complete daily check and credit card deposit
  • Assist in reconciliation of cash sales accounting schedule
  • In coordination with a BM, work with store operations employees on any process related changes that need made to maintain a reconciled cash sales accounting schedule  
• Audit car deals for accuracy and completeness utilizing the Deal Checklist
  • 2nd line of audit defense prior to deal being sent to APC for processing
  • Maintain notes of missing or incorrect items in Booked and Pending report in the Performance Dashboard
  • Work closely with variable operations to ensure collection of outstanding revenue recognition and state compliance required items
  • Provide back up support to F&I Managers for scanning required documents into Digital Deal Jacket
• Review for completeness and accuracy all IRS Form 8300s for processing
• Assist BM in maintaining reconciled accounting schedules as assigned
• Cross-train on Title & Registration Specialist role in situations where applicable to provide back up support to other in-store accounting operations functions
• Meet performance standards of accuracy, timeliness, cure rates, and efficiency as established by the Company
• Additional work and tasks as assigned

More About the Role:

• Support audit readiness team of 3-5 professional resources and collaborate with senior-level stakeholders and other cross-functional team members to maintain a history of high-performance

• Assess solution audit readiness and evaluating internal control processes

• Evaluate the Oracle ERP solution for compliance with applicable federal laws, regulations, and policies

• Perform risk assessments to identify potential DoD Agency risks and mitigation strategies

• Perform Compliance Readiness Assessments of the DoD solution to assist in planning and preparation for future compliance audits.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

The Financial Reporting Analyst 2 (Team Lead is a subject matter expert level position responsible for accomplishing results by driving a variety of Financial Reporting activities associated with Fund administration. The overall objective of this role is to ensure the seamless delivery of activities associated with Financial Reporting – Fund Administration.

Responsibilities:

Preparation and Review of financial statements ensuring compliance with accounting standards, internal and external audit requests and point of contact for identified clients. Ensure the quality of the day-to-day service equals or betters the performance targets as defined in the service level agreements (SLA’s) in place for each Client. Liaise with Onshore to ensure that auditors, clients and other interested parties have all relevant information for completing audits. Monitor the production schedule to ensure that production is completed accurately and within the client deadline. Plan and track the review comments from Onshore/Client/Auditors.

• Technical/Functional:
• Manages processes which includes preparation and technical review of annual and semi-annual financial statements including audit work papers incorporating fund calculations for complex funds/clients in accordance with US GAAP (preferable)/IFRS and regulatory requirements for mutual funds and perform the completeness and accuracy checks of disclosure in FS.
• Work on relationships with onshore client teams to make changes to financial reports and ensure they accurately depict fund performance. 
• In depth understanding and knowledge in accounting principles & preparation of financial statements based on US GAAP (preferable)/IFRS.
• Participates in pre and post reporting cycle initiatives and work-streams.
• Ensures financial reports meet clients and any applicable regulatory standards.
• Responsible for the achievement of team goals and objectives, supervision of work by other team members.
• Assists with coordination of activities between multiple departments within the organization, including our global partners.
• Draft and update task lists for offshoring partners, ensures all supporting documentation is available to them and acts as primary contact to answer their questions and issues.
