Responsibilities

• Conduct research study activities like patient recruitment, data collection and data management
• Set up and maintain study investigator files, including records of consent taken and samples collection
• Maintain study records in databases such as REDCap
• Explain process and procedures to educate the participants regarding the research study
• Carry out the required procedures according to study protocol and instruction manual(s) and in compliance with regulations and Good Clinical Practice Guideline

The post holder will work under the direct supervision of one clinical academic and KNLs education lead (Ahilan Kailaya-Vasan). The post includes opportunities to study towards higher degrees and would suit individuals interested in pursuing an academic or a clinical career with an academic interest. This is a 12-month fixed term clinical academic post. The post holder will work as a Trust grade SHO and will include clinical and research duties, including 2 months of dedicated research time. Clinical duties will include inpatient care and out-of-hours on call duties. The post holder will gain experience in applied translational research and will work closely with clinical research coordinators, research clinicians, scientists and engineers. Academic responsibilities include primary benchside research, running clinical trials, applying for research grants and completing a relevant systematic review. To drive recruitment to VERVE 101 and VERVE 102 phase 1 trials. Job Description

We are currently seeking talented individuals with:
• Design and deliver professional development workshops for teachers focusing on the principles and applications of Design Thinking.
• Collaborate with educational staff to integrate Design Thinking into existing curricula and develop new interdisciplinary projects.
• Conduct empirical research on the effectiveness of Design Thinking in enhancing teaching efficacy and student outcomes, leading to peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations.
• Mentor teachers in developing their own Design Thinking projects and support the implementation of these projects in their classrooms.
• Educational research interest in interdisciplinary studies, including but not limited to STEM education, engineering education.
• Able to do literature review and summarize the main findings from the literature
• Able to do qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis including but not limited to field observation, interview, systematic literature review, video analysis and statistical modeling

Job Requirements
