Dermatology Technician

The Dermatology Technician I functions as a member of the healthcare team by providing clinical and technical support to assist providers in providing for patients’ care, comfort, and safety. The individual will complete basic procedures as requested by the provider and will assist providers with procedures. The Dermatology Technician I performs in a manner consistent with Marshfield Clinic Health System’s mission, policies, and initiatives while maintaining patient confidentiality.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.

Minimum Required:  High school diploma and one of the following:

• Graduate of a Medial Assistant Program

• Documented successful completion of the following courses or their recognized equivalent (1) Medical Terminology from an accredited institution or completed on line through Universal Class (2) Anatomy & Physiology or Body Structure & Function or Human Body in Health Disease from an accredited institution or completed on line through Universal Class (3) Pharmacy from an accredit institution

• Two years of Medical Assistant related work experience and completion of the required educational courses listed above within 12 months of hire

Preferred/Optional: Experience in healthcare.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES

Patient/Customer Care Responsibilities
• To maintain the confidentiality of information about patients, staff and other health service business and meet the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (2018) at all times.

Cleaning Responsibilities
• Remove / replace / clean curtains and blinds as necessary
• Clean all hard floors and mop daily.
• Empty, clean and replenish waste bins.
• Seal waste bags and carry out appropriate waste disposal procedures.
• Clean internal glass and ledges.
• Clean all sanitary areas.
• Maintain equipment in a clean and serviceable condition.
• Maintain and respect the privacy and dignity of patients whilst carrying out Facilities duties.
• Thoroughly clean beds.
• Replenish bed linen on patient discharge or as needed.
• Damp dusting of furniture, fittings, interior glass and any low level cleaning requirements.
• Replenish consumables – for example, paper towels, soap, toilet rolls.
• Adopt a flexible approach, as you may be required to work at any Trust site.
• Ensure the correct storage of all items.
• To issue and collate inpatient menus.
• Collect and clean all crockery and cutlery and kitchen utensils as required using automatic dishwashers where available.
• Collect, wash and return water jugs.
• Collect and replace soiled linen.



Portering Responsibilities
• Collection and delivery of goods.
• Collection and delivery of medical gas cylinders.
• Transportation of patients between wards and departments, if required on an occasional ad hoc basis.
• Use of franking machine and letter sorting
• Driving vehicles around site to collect waste. Full training will be provided
• Transportation of food trollies from Catering department to the ward areas

Job Description

The salary will be pro-rata to the term-time, part-time hours worked.

Post 1: Our Lady and St. Patricks High School - 14.25 hours, Mon-Thurs 3pm-6pm, Fri 3pm-5.15pm.

Post 2: Peripatetic - 16 hours, Mon & Tues 3.30pm - 6.45pm ,Wed & Thurs 3pm - 6.15pm, Friday 3pm - 6pm.

Vacancies have arisen for Facilities Assistants within the authority’s Alexandria & Dumbarton areas. The post holder will be responsible for the day to day operation of Facilities Management Services within the premise. There will be a requirement to undertake a combination of duties with a flexible day to day variable need, this will include staff supervision, key holding responsibility, cleaning duties, food handling and various other duties as detailed in the job profile.

The post holder will require to adhere to Food Safety Systems of Work and Health and Safety legislations and previous experience in this line of work would be an advantage.

The successful candidate should be able to work on their own initiative as well as part of a team.

Applicants will be asked to select their preference according to their availability. Please note that whilst some degree of flexibility in working maybe considered the core cleaning times are as stated.
