About our Department and the role: CRC is a really exciting place to work, and as we grow we are looking for caring, personable and empathetic Teaching Assistants with a real flair for empowering young people to join our Learning Support team. The Supported Learning Department at CRC educate and care for our most vulnerable students. Every day is different and TA’s can be supporting our students in a wide range of subjects that help to promote their confidence, independence, employability and self-reliance. You could be working with students in our college garden, with small animals or doing art, drama, music or wood work skills as well as supporting in cooking lessons and Maths and English. We are ideally seeking candidates who have experience of working in a special education setting or may wish to make the move from primary education or social care. A knowledge of supporting students working at Entry level and gathering evidence via RARPA would be an advantage. As part of the role, you will: Support students with a range of learning difficulties and other disabilities.
Enable reasonable adjustments to help students to engage.
Mentor students and encourage them to remain on task.
Model skills so that the student can understand the tasks.
Assist with Personal Care and health needs.
Promote our college values. What we are looking for in our ideal candidate: - GCSE English grade C / 4 or equivalent - or willing to work towards gaining this qualification
- Happy to undergo relevant training
- Enjoy working across college faculties i.e. supporting students on a variety of courses
- Have recent and demonstrable experience of working with people with special education needs (desirable, but not essential)
- A positive ‘can do’ attitude, sensitive to others needs, patient and reliable
- A team player yet also able to work independently
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Job Description:

• To provide accessible, timely, effective, efficient and professional quality service to resolve problems and to delight.
• Polite and professional service.
• Prompt response to queries via voicemail / email / fax.
• Accurate assessment/ resolution of problems.
• Provide first level support to troubleshoot and solve technical problems.
• Incident tracking and first & second level resolution for all trouble calls, including those related to desktop, Local Area Network (“LAN”), centralized infrastructure, Wide Area Network (“WAN”), and voice services related Service Requests;
• "How-to" assistance for Customer-defined common off the shelf applications included in its standard End User Service platform images;
• Coordination for employee user account administration, activation, changes, and terminations, including:
• Password/account setup and reset (various Customer system platforms) remote access connectivity (e.g., VPN), email accounts, host IDs, password resets, customer authorized mobile devices, voice/ mail administration, telephone lines, End-to-end ownership for Incident identification, escalation, resolution, and closure as agreed.
