What you will do  

Johnson Controls invites you to apply for a mechanical engineering internship located at our Ducted Systems facility in Wichita, KS. This internship is designed to provide you with positive work/training experience and challenging objectives. Specific identified internship responsibilities are outlined below. You will HVAC system analysis support on residential ducted system s products, Residential Packaged Products, and gas fired furnaces. The position supports product development, design drafting, and laboratory testing. The individual will assist engineering staff in the preparation of certification documents and submittals for Authorities having jurisdiction. 

How you will do it: 

• Provide analysis support for AHRI and DOE calculations. 
• Provide hands on support for prototype creation. 
• Provide design specification support to laboratory validation testing. 

Duration: This will be a full-time summer 2024 internship. Local students may have the potential to continue working on projects on a part-time basis during the school year.

• Currently enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited U.S. college or university 
• Pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering program.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the mechanical engineering, automation, and fabrication team, helping with the design, installation, repair, and modification of pharmaceutical processing and facility equipment.

As an Analog Engineer at Plexus Engineering Solutions, you will design and develop electrical hardware for products across a wide range of industries. This role collaborates with talented software, mechanical, quality, manufacturing and test engineers, and it sees all phases of the product development life cycle - from idea and conceptualize; through requirements, design, and development; to transitioning to manufacturing and into the market.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Design electrical hardware including power supplies, control systems, and instrumentation for medical, aerospace, defense, and commercial applications
• Utilize schematic capture tools and guide printed circuit board layout
• Analyze circuit designs with simulation tools such as SPICE and finite element tools
• Perform hands-on, in-the-lab, troubleshooting and bring up of prototype hardware
• Take detailed measurements of analog hardware using standard electrical measurement tools including oscilloscopes, multimeters, spectrum analyzers, and network analyzers to assess circuit performance and inform design improvements
• Work as a team with other analog, digital, software, and mechanical engineers to review and improve hardware designs
• Receive expert mentorship, guidance, and coaching from experienced hardware engineers

Responsibilities

Job Summary

The intern works on IDE for embedded devices. They contribute to Edge AI and vision systems. Additionally, they assist in designing medical-grade software that meets standards and processes.

Job Description (primary responsibilities)

• Collaborating with the team to verify and validate new products
• Conducting testing and analysis, and documenting and reporting on results. Working to improve testing processes and procedures.
• Contributing to projects ranging from application development to performance verification
• Developing new functionality, optimizing and debugging code, and gaining invaluable practical real-world experience

Requirements

Autodesk is looking for a summer intern to join the Platform Experience Design (XD) team as an Accessibility Engineer. As an intern you will help us ensure that our experiences can be accessed by users with assistive technologies and empower all of our users to be designers and makers.

You will:

• Utilize accessibility testing tools to conduct an audit of an existing or in-progress experience
• Create an accessibility report that synthesizes the findings
• Provide design or code recommendations to make compliant
• Collaborate with our Design System and UI Toolkit teams to evolve patterns and code

You have:

• You are familiar with assistive technologies and accessibility testing tools
• A portfolio of work that demonstrates your skills
• Experience with Figma or other current design tools
• Knowledge of WCAG 2.1, WAI-ARIA and ATAG 2.0
• Experience with Web Standards, HTML5, CSS and JavaScript

• $47,840 and $95,680 (undergraduate students)

• $118,560 and $162,240 (PhD students)
