About the job You will be based in one of our Mental Health Support Teams. You will be a member of a team working alongside other mental health professionals. You will work in education settings and in the community delivering a range of evidence informed interventions, under supervision. You will undertake mental health assessments (including risk assessments) and interventions based on the Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) model. You will work directly with children and young people of primary and secondary school age, and in some cases their parents and carers. You will support MHST work to develop and deliver whole school approaches to emotional wellbeing and mental health. There is a regular and intrinsic requirement to communicate in English with members of the public.

Key results from the job holder To be a full and active member of a multidisciplinary all age service which focuses upon the health care needs of children, young people and adults who have a learning disability and unmet health needs. This may include challenging behaviour, forensic needs, autism, mental health needs, terminal illness, communication needs, sexual health and health promotion needs. The nurse will have a specific focus on providing specialised nursing assessments, planning intervention and evaluation of programmes of care for those individuals who require specialist support to access health services, those individuals who may be at risk of developing early aging conditions, those children, young people and adults who present with significant behavioural challenges and high dependency needs to themselves, their families and carers and services, and young people between the ages of 14 to 25 who are transitioning from childrens to adult services. Teacher of Craft, Design and Technology, Winchburgh Academy, 35 hours per week, Permanent, Closing Date 10th May 2024

Winchburgh Academy is a new state-of-the-art secondary school which opened in August 2022, designed to ensure twenty first century learning, immersed in creativity and digital technologies. The school also has sports facilities of the highest standard and includes sports halls, a 25m swimming pool and artificial grass outdoor pitches.

Initially, the school opened with a S1 cohort and the roll is anticipated to rise year on year to reach its 660-pupil initial capacity by 2028. The school roll is anticipated to be 200 students (S1-S3) in August 2024. A future expansion strategy has been considered beyond this, potentially increasing the school roll up to a maximum capacity of 1,210 pupils. In August 2024 the school will have approximately 20 teaching staff.

Our Lady of Lourdes Primary School is a Roman Catholic primary school for the children of Blackburn and Seafield in West Lothian Council.

The current roll of the school is 157 school pupils. Staffing is in accordance with authority guidelines. This comprises of a Head Teacher, a Principal teacher and 13 teachers (part-time and full-time), including an RCCT Teacher. In addition there is a school admin and 4 pupil support workers.
