Key Purpose of the Job:

Accountabilities:

Receive job cards from service reception, pre-time each job and allocate work to Technicians

Obtain authorisation for any additional work required either through service reception or by direct contact with customer

Ensure that all warranty items are identified for each job and that parts replaced are labelled, appropriate documentation completed and passed for action

Receive job cards for completed jobs ensuring that work has been completed correctly; time completed jobs so that job costing can be completed, and ensuring all warranty items are highlighted and all associated documentation is completed

Arrange for customer to be informed that vehicle has been completed

Ensure that the image and levels of customer service within the department is in line with Company standards

Schedule all PDI and used car preparation to ensure that sales department requirements are met

Ensure that all special tools and equipment are kept in good order and that repair requirements are addressed

Ensure that the workshop is kept clean and tidy at all times

Ensure that all customer complaints are dealt with both speedily and effectively

Supervision of the team to ensure that designated duties are performed correctly, highlighting any improvement areas to their immediate supervisor

Project Manager Third Party MFG (TPM) – Quality Assurance

Under the general guidance of the Regional Manager TPM Quality Assurance, this position is responsible for provision of QA and Technical Support to the Abbott Nutrition Third Party Manufacturing Portfolio for manufacture of paediatric and adult Nutritional products.  The Manager is responsible for compliance with Corporate and Divisional QA policies, procedures, standards and specifications as well as country specific regulations depending on the TPM location and markets.  The Manager will be required to make quality  risk based decisions to ensure product release, regulatory inspections and risk resolution does not result in recall of product or liability suits that may result in adverse publicity and a reduction of sales on a long-term basis whilst ensuring minimal impact to Division inventories and the ability to service customer demands.  This position may have budget responsibility. 

Primary Function / Primary Goals / Objectives:

• Provide QA and Technical Support to Abbott Nutrition Third Party Manufacturers (TPM), TPM Operations, Affiliates and other AN Stakeholders

• Responsible for QA portfolio expansion activities related to one or more specific TPM accounts within the global TPM portfolio – this may include both Business as Usual and TPM Start-up activities

• Ensure compliance to Corporate and Divisional QA requirements and identify and / or resolve Quality gaps and / or issues relating to product design, manufacturing quality programs and product start-ups at TPMs

• Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations of quality events

MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE

The primary objectives of the Quality Assurance Supervisor are to develop, facilitate, implement, and maintain the effectiveness of the quality systems for pilot plant operations in the Asia region, including the Process Research Lab (PRL). Provide Quality Assurance input to engineering projects, best practice initiatives, and validation protocol development.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

The Opportunity

This position works out of our Minnetonka, MN location in the Vascular division

Abbott Vascular provides innovative, minimally invasive, and cost-effective products for treatment of vascular disease.

As a part of the Abbott Analytical Chemistry Department, the individual will perform qualitative and quantitative analytical analyses in a Quality Control cGMP laboratory.  The position will support CRM combination medical device product release and drug stability programs.  The QC Chemist will take responsibility for all aspects batch release and stability testing for drug-related attributes for combination medical devices per approved test methods and departmental procedures.   

What You’ll Work On

• Perform batch release/stability analytical testing for combination devices for drug related attributes (assay, impurities, ID, drug release/dissolution, etc.).
• Perform USP/EP monograph testing for raw materials.
• Prepare chemical solutions (reference materials, mobile phase, buffers) per approved analytical test methods.
• Prepare and analyze samples for testing by a variety of techniques (HPLC, GC, dissolution apparatus, Karl Fischer, etc.).
• Evaluate analytical data against product specifications and communicate results to management.
• Write summary reports/Certificates of Analysis for product testing.
• Generate and maintain laboratory records per QMS requirements.
• Document and review laboratory experiments in electronic lab notebook/LIMs system.
• Perform laboratory cleaning and instrument maintenance.
• Anticipate, recognize, and resolve simple technical issues through knowledge, use of technical resources including literature, internal SMEs, and well formulated, logical experimentation.

Required Qualifications

• B.A. or B.S. degree in Chemistry.  
• 1-3 years of experience in Pharmaceuticals.
• GMP laboratory experience performing batch release testing for pharmaceutical/combination medical device products.
• Knowledge of USP/EP monographs and ICH quality guidelines as pertains to QC laboratory operations.
• Excellent writing/laboratory documentation skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.

• Ability to learn and follow all departmental SOPs, work instructions, and test methods.
• Ability to work independently in fast-moving environment where priorities frequently change.
• Must have strong problem-solving skills.
• Must have excellent verbal communication skills.
• Possess ability to understand business requirements and organize work schedule independently.
• Must be able to handle multiple assignments concurrently and communicate roadblocks/issues promptly while maintaining the highest quality work.
• Must be capable of learning to operate various analytical instruments including:
  HPLC, GC, FTIR, UV, dissolution apparatus, balances, Karl Fisher, microscope, pH meter and other analytical equipment.
• Proficient with Microsoft 365
• Experience with Waters Empower, Waters ELN, and Labware LIMs software strongly desired.
• Desire to learn QC laboratory operations in a highly regulated environment and passion to excel in their work.

The base pay for this position is

$57,300.00 – $114,700.00

Responsibility & Deliverable:

• Read blueprints, plans, and specifications to understand the requirements of products and services.
• Perform regular quality assessments on all incoming materials from vendors and outgoing products for shipping

• Supervise the production process.
