Our Occupational Therapy Team sits within Community Care and works to maximise independence for adults and children throughout Moray.

We provide specialist, holistic assessments and focus on providing Occupational therapy input in a wide range of situations.

Our work informs Social Work assessments for care, we support people when they are adapting their home, provide specialist equipment and we advise and guide carers and clients so they are able to live as independently and with as much freedom as possible.

We currently have a vacancy for an OT of 33.5 hours within the team. You will be responsible for a varied caseload and opportunities to supervise other staff are available.

You must hold a degree/diploma or equivalent qualification in Occupational Therapy. You must also be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

Requirements

Assessment for and provision

To undertake and record assessment of basic needs. Leading to the provide equipment and adaptations.

To complete bathing assessments leading to the provision of level access showers and static and mobile shower seating.

To co- work with housing re the provision of LAS.

Instruct clients and their carers in the safe use of equipment and organise minor adaptations and major level access shower adaptations

Manage own case-load under the supervision of the OT and carry out check and review visits on own cases or as delegated by the OT where appropriate.

Order online equipment from The Joint Equipment Store to meets client’s needs and inline with assessment process.

Advice/Support/Liaison Support client and their family through period of adjustment related to disability.

Provide information of the range of statutory and voluntary service available to people with disabilities and their carers.

Liaise with other agencies e.g. Health Services, Voluntary Services, Property Services, and other Community Services Department colleagues.

Training/Development

Participate in learning opportunities wherever possible.

Be involved in the development of services by assisting to identify gaps in service.

Attend regular supervision with the designated OT. Attend OT Team meetings on a regular basis.

Admin Duties

Accept and process referrals.

Maintain up to date case records in accordance with Moray Council policy.

Record monthly statistics as required by the OT Team Manager.

Carry out any other necessary admin duties related to departmental guidelines and procedures in conjunction with current legislation.

To take reasonable care for the health and safety of self, other staff and service users as defined by Council policy and other relevant documentation and training.

To co-operate with the Council in ensuring that health and safety duties are complied with.

After onboarding activities for compliance training, benefit selection and introductory activities, the Associate Print Shop Operator will be assigned to equipment and processes such as:

High Speed Color Roll-feed and cut-sheet color printing, High-speed Mail Inserter, ID Card Production, Laminator, SendPro Meter, US Mail and Vendor Package Shipping, Mail Sort Preparation, Quality Control and other peripheral duties associated with a Print to Mail facility.

Incumbents will be trained by senior staff and co-workers. Performance will be tracked and measured by the incumbent’s demonstrated ability to learn new skills and put them to use effectively and consistently. Coaching and guidance by the incumbent’s team manager will provide constructive feedback on progress and deliverables on training, performance goals and core behaviors.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Incumbent, on assigned equipment or processes will follow learned training techniques to meet strict guidelines in Quality, Accuracy and Timeliness to ensure multiple daily product deliveries are met. Incumbent will consistently address and escalate issues which impact Quality, Accuracy and Timeliness with senior staff or the Team Manager. • Ejecución de las tareas de producción del área asignada según los procedimientos de producción y cumpliendo los requerimientos de productividad definidos.
• Cumplir con los requerimientos de inspección, según apliquen, de acuerdo a los procedimientos para los que fue entrenado.
• Reparar los productos no conformes, de acuerdo con las especificaciones establecidas.
• Ejecutar y reportar las actividades de su área, respondiendo por la calidad, el tiempo, la confiabilidad y el desempeño de servicios e informaciones generadas, atendiendo a las necesidades de los clientes internos / externos. 
• Cumplir con los requerimientos de documentación y trazabilidad para los procesos de producción asignado.
• Apoyar y/o ejecutar procesos de entrenamiento y certificación de personal según los procedimientos establecidos, en operaciones de su área.

Requisitos

• Primaria Completa
• Preferible con experiencia en ejecutar procesos de Manufactura / No Indispensable
• Habilidad para efectuar los procesos para los que va a ser contratado.
• Capacidad para leer, entender y ejecutar procedimientos.
• Cursando estudios de educación secundaria
