Your new role
This is a dynamic and fast-moving environment and as the Transaction Tax Manager you will be working with clients of all sizes in all industries, working closely with the incredibly strong network of Transaction Tax teams around the world for a variety of transactions, from acquisitions of small family-owned businesses to high-profile newsworthy deals. You will be building and maintaining relationships with clients providing a high level service as well as winning work by proactively managing existing clients and supporting in winning new clients. Delivering on tax projects and utilising your technical expertise and practical business approach, you will successfully extract maximum value for both the client and Firm whilst managing risk appropriately.

What you'll need to succeed
The successful Transaction Tax Manager will be ACA/CA/ACCA/CTA qualified or an experienced Tax Inspector with Transaction Tax exposure. Excellent communication skills to build and maintain client relationships along with supporting and coaching junior staff.

Your new role
As an Intellectual Property Solicitor or Trade Mark Attorney, your responsibilities will include:

• Playing a pivotal role in helping to build the Brands Group as it expands its practice.
• Conducting availability searches and advising on trade marks and design availability for use and registration.
• Providing strategic advice for trade mark and design filing.
• Filing and prosecuting trade mark and design applications through to registration.
• Handling inter parties disputes before trade mark registries.
• Supervising worldwide trade mark watching programs.
• Assisting with practice management and business development.
• Supervising and training staff.

What you'll need to succeed

Essential:

• Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Trade Mark Attorney with 1+ years PQE in trade mark and design matters.
• Intellectual curiosity and versatility.
• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Excellent client relationship communication and interpersonal skills.

Desirable:

• Strong commercial/business acumen with the ability to deliver creative and pragmatic solutions and advice.
• Collaborative team player with the ability to develop and work in a fast-paced, intellectually rigorous environment.
• Language skills in Spanish, French, German, Arabic, and Chinese.

Regulatory Transaction Reporting Specialist

Your role:

We're looking for a Regulatory Transaction Reporting Specialist like you to:

• Partner with regulatory change programmes on regulatory driven changes to ensure an industry leading delivery
• Partner with Technology to ensure delivery of a successful end product
• Review and assess the impact of the Regulatory change on the Operational controls to ensure transactions are reported completely, accurately and on time
• Provide meaningful updates and commentary to various operating forums and senior stakeholders.

Your team:

You will work in our high-profile Regulatory Transaction Reporting (RTR) team and be based in London but will have close interaction with other global RTR teams. We're responsible for ensuring that beyond meeting our regulatory obligations we transform our organisational capability, a robust control framework is applied to regulatory reporting, collaborating with our Middle Office, Technology, Reference Data Management and Compliance functions on a regular basis to facilitate our deliverables.

Your expertise :

• Strong understanding of the EMIR transaction reporting regulation.
• Previous experience in investment banking and in regulatory transaction reporting environment.
• Ability to work independently and as a team.
• Previous experience working with multiple teams, to deliver planned changes to reporting flow.

This global manufacturing business with a large presence in Darlington have a need for an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join the team on an ongoing hybrid temp contract basis for at least 6 months.

Your new role

This is a hybrid role, working onsite on average 1 day per week (usually Mondays)

The role is responsible to the following areas:

Accounts Payable Key Responsibilities:

Process assigned work queues
Manage internal corrections, credit notes, VAT only invoices.
Complete manual matching where applicable for direct/indirect purchases direct into financial systems
Escalate all matching queries to plant personnel for resolution
Investigate and clear all aged invoice queries on the AP Query Database
Deal with internal/external customer (Plant Finance, Buyers, and Suppliers etc.) queries relating to supplier invoices/payments.
Deal with telephone, email, fax correspondence and complex enquiries relating to supplier payments.
Complete supplier statement reconciliations
Maintain excellent customer service with all internal/external customers
Ensure Sox documentation is followed and all work instructions are maintained, in accordance with current processes and controls.
Ensure SLAs and targets are met.
Support projects, testing and improvements.
