My client is a modern accountancy practice based on the outskirts of Guildford, with a senior leadership team who are flexible, approachable, open and supportive. Heavily involved with their clients offering advice, business structuring and tax planning, they offer their clients a joined-up approach to the accountancy sector. They boast modern, spacious, light and open-plan offices with a communal area used for socialising which boasts a full-size tennis table, showers on site, along with on-site parking. They have an opportunity in their tax team for a trainee to join them, where they will support your professional development in this field with a study package for both the ATT and then CTA qualifications.

Your new role
You will:

• Deal with annual personal tax compliance for a range of clients
• Liaise with HMRC as well as clients on various tax issues
• Be involved with a wide range of personal tax issues
• Respond to issues and queries from clients
• Be involved in ad hoc project work
• Maintain regular client contact through emails and phone calls
• Report to Partners and senior members of the team
  
  

What you'll need to succeed
My client is looking for a recent college or university graduate with an excellent academic record. A passion to develop a career in tax is essential, along with a proactive approach, who is keen to learn their discipline. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, are required.

What you'll get in return
You will receive a salary of up to £25,000 and a full study package for the ATT and CTA tax exams. Flexible working options are available with my client operating a core hour system, allowing for early or late risers. A hybrid policy is also available, however, not during probation, where you will be required to be in office to learn your trade and be supported by seniors in the team. There is a 5% employer contribution pension, death in service benefit, discount schemes, on-site parking and showering facilities for those who cycle to work or wish to exercise at lunchtime.

This is a Trainee Administration role focused on Tax & Finance which would ideally suit a candidate with some previous Administration experience looking to make the move into a Finance-based Administration career. * Providing processing & administration support to the wider tax team
* Management of a small client allocation, maintaining good relationships with clients

* Arranging tax payments before due dates
* Various other ad hoc Tax Administration duties as required

In order to be considered for this role your skills and experience should include:
* Previous Administration experience, preferably from within a Finance or Professional Services setting - this experience is essential
* Strong numeracy & problem solving skills
* Excellent organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise a busy workload effectively
* Excellent interpersonal & communication skills, both written and verbal
* Solid IT Skills including MS Office packages
