We are looking for a meticulous Assistant Accountant to support the Finance Manager to run financial processes in an effective and timely manner, covering all aspects of financial & management accounting, budgeting and compliance.

Job Responsibilities

• Preparation of monthly management reports, analyse variances between monthly budget and actual results
• Perform accounting and administrative tasks related to processing of the accounts receivables, accounts payables, internal billings, journal entries

• Expenses & claim administration
• Monitor cash imprest, cash disbursements, cash advances and credit card transactions

Your new role
Reporting to the Head of Finance, this is a varied and interesting role providing the successful candidate with exposure to a wide range of accounting duties across the department. Key duties will include sales and purchase ledger posting, bank reconciliations, supplier and customer query investigation and resolution, VAT returns, cash-flow forecasting and supporting with monthly management accounts preparation.

What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will have strong bookkeeping and reconciliation experience combined with confident systems and Excel (pivot tables / lookups) skills. Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills will be pivotal. Month-end reporting and management accounts preparation experience would be beneficial but not essential.
