Purpose of the Role

We are looking to hire a highly innovative, organised, and flexible team member to join our successful Managed Accounts Middle Office team in New York with a specific focus on assisting the team in implementing solutions relating to Profit & loss (PnL) analysis and client reporting.  This role will include a suite of daily tasks as well as direct interactions with the platform’s North American client base.

Our hedge fund managed account platform is a growing and fast-paced area of the business which requires the ability to work collaboratively and innovatively within a robust control environment. Our Managed Accounts Middle Office team is responsible for the day-to-day operations of our managed account platform.

This role will work closely with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders as well as external service providers. You will assist in overseeing our client reporting, PnL analysis, and service provider oversight while ensuring our policies and procedures are met.

Given the varied nature of our managed account platform and wide range of tasks performed by the team, you’ll have the opportunity to progress your career in a dynamic environment, gaining experience in many different areas of middle office operations as well as gain valuable insight into the Hedge Fund industry.

Specific Responsibilities

• Communicate and liaise with internal stakeholders [Investment risk, portfolio managers, funds treasury, developers] and external stakeholders [service providers] to ensure client deliverables are met to the highest quality
• Work with team members to develop and deliver reporting, answer client queries as well as assist the wider SOLUTION business where necessary
• Actively implement process improvements and streamline processes where applicable
• Analyze PnL data and fee calculations for different hedge fund trading strategies
• Monitor each administrators’ day-to-day fund deliverables against service levels
• Ensure all day-to-day operational processes are completed according to deadlines and agreed quality controls

Key Competencies

• Up to 2 years’ equivalent experience
• Effective problem-solving skills to identify new solutions to drive our platform, capabilities, and team forward
• High levels of pro-activity, organization, self-motivation, and ownership to deliver 
• Excellent interpersonal skills; capable of speaking with and reaching multiple audiences
• Basic knowledge of Python or similar programming language is preferred
• Strong knowledge of MS Excel and Office suite.

Base Salary Range: The anticipated based salary range for this position is $70,000-$90,000 + benefits + a discretionary bonus. This team will be responsible for the transition of the process back to HP, performance and review of the CIT accounts reconciliation and establishing the cadence of review and follow-ups with the stakeholders.

 

These are positions based out of Bangalore.

Responsibilities

·       Transition of the activities from the current 3rd party service provider.

·       Prepare CIT Accounts reconciliations using the Cadency tool as per the Company’s requirements.

·       Follow up on the open items, maintain the action tracker and follow up for closure.

·       Participate in the review with the stakeholders (tax, controllership, auditors etc.)

·     Assist in providing data to service providers for preparation of corporate tax returns, Transfer pricing documentation.

You'll spend time on the following:

• Working closely with the Treasury, Tax and Statutory Reporting teams to understand accounting implications of terms and conditions of intercompany arrangements, along with other significant intra-entity transactions and global initiatives across the Company.

•  Establishes processes and procedures to ensure conformance and alignment with corporate requirements.
•  Supports internal and external financial audits; serves as a contact for internal and external auditors.  Provides guidance on financial internal control issues.
•  Assists team in executing the work plans and support its revisions as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.

The Account and Documentation Services team supports Key Private Bank (KPB) and Institutional Advisors Services (IA) in coordinating the Onboarding of KPB and IA Trust Accounts which includes document prep, Know Your Client and Global Trust Account coding establishing new accounts as well as coordinating maintenance changes to account coding on the Global Plus Trust Accounting system.  The team has responsibility to read the governing trust and custody documents and evaluate the legitimacy and appropriateness of the account coding.

The Operations Analyst is responsible to ensure that all required documentation is in place to support the preparation of client documents needed for trust accounts, Account coding, as well as ensuring that compliance ramifications are understood and properly addressed.  The department partners with other teams to ensure proper set up and coding of accounts on the Global Plus Trust Accounting system as well as ensuring a high level of client service while also ensuring that risks to the organization are mitigated.

• Demonstrate an understanding of the end-to-end of the Account Onboarding process including document prep, Know Your Client, account set up, maintenance, and audit.
• Responsible for opening trust accounts includes client document preparation, reporting on a quarterly rotation, provide backup on assigning workflows as needed.
• Demonstrate an understanding of account coding requirements, including legal, tax and regulatory aspects, as well as possible variations and exceptions to coding based on various account types as it relates to new trust accounts or maintenance requests.
• Review and interpret trust and custody legal agreements to determine the legitimacy and appropriateness of account coding and maintenance changes as permitted under the document.
