This position supports the operations of the College's Accounting department. Under limited supervision, the purpose of the job is to perform financial analysis and accounting functions related to general ledger maintenance and reconciliation. Employees in this job classification are responsible for analyzing financial and operating data and preparing management reports and financial statements as necessary. Essential Functions:

• Daily - 25%: Analyzes Balance Sheet and PNL accounts to identify errors and propose adjustments with minimal supervision utilizing strong technical accounting knowledge for contribution to accurate and timely financial statements. Assists with quarterly and annual financial statement preparation.
• Daily - 25%: Performs detail analysis of the payroll system and recommends necessary adjustment in a timely manner
• Daily - 15%: Analyzes and reconciles long term debt and proposes appropriate adjustments.
• Daily - 15%: Keeps abreast of pertinent accounting pronouncements and assists in researching their impact to the college’s financial system

The Senior IT audit Analyst will be responsible for leading, planning, organizing and executing IT internal audits throughout the Company (including system control reviews, business process controls, external IT Risk assessments, privacy, financial, operational, consulting and fraud investigation). Global Internal Audit is seen as an integrated function in that both business and technology controls are covered during the reviews. Entities to be reviewed may include international sales offices and shared service locations, Corporate and divisional functions, manufacturing plants, and 3rd party channel partners.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Leverage data analytics during planning and execution to optimize coverage and effectiveness.

• Assessing the impact/risk associated with any areas of concern identified through the audit process, proposing recommendations to address these risks, and working with management to develop appropriate corrective actions. 

• Communicating and presenting effectively to business management to ensure clarity regarding audit results and that appropriate action plans are being implemented.

As an analyst, you'll assist us in providing key insights of the risks of and dynamics within our mortgage balance sheet. As a junior / trainee, you'll start with supportive activities, but you'll soon receive more responsibilities. Your activities:  

• You'll have a supportive role in Portfolio Management Retail. This places you in position closely to the dynamics of the day-to-day business, leading to a lot of interaction with a wide range of experts.
• Your analytical skills will be put to good use in data requests and modelling, such as forecasting, explanation of results and quantitative support to (new) business cases. Key examples are the liquidity planning of our mortgage balance, a crucial role in the market valuation of our mortgage loans and providing essential information of the spread/margins development.  
• Your primary clients will be the Retail Banking’s Management Team and our Executive Board Members. And last but not least, you will be the point of contact with our Finance department.
• You will help improve our models both on implementation as well as on methodology. You will work in Python and Excel, where you will focus on automation and improved presentation of figures.

Your team  

You'll work in the Portfolio Management Retail team. This team consists currently out of 5 colleagues that work together closely, laugh together and regularly have a social activity together like a dinner. The team is ambitious to improve how we work and what we do. Everyone has a technical background like Mathematics and Econometrics. We are searching for a person who fits in well.

Furthermore, it is a subteam of a larger team where there is expertise on Customer Analytics as well as Structuring. This will provide you with additional learning opportunities on the field of data science as well issuing covered bonds, such that you get exposure directly to a wide range of competences.
