In your new job as a Facilities Manager, you will manage hard & soft services scope (technical, cleaning, archiving, pest, catering & estates).

The role holder will manage a team of approx. 30 people plus sub-contractors, ensuring that an effective and efficient service is delivered and maintained and that service levels are in line with the contractual CI's, KPI's and PI's. You'll also monitor and control supplier, sub-contractor and labour costs to ensure financial targets are achieved. Building a strong working relationship with internal and external customers including sub-contractors is important in this role, to ensure that all services are delivered in a professional, timely and cost-effective manner.

The successful Facilities Manager will have experience of FM project delivery, including an awareness of CDM regulations and proven success in an operational manufacturing environment, worked within process-led, regulated organisations and/or industries. You will hold a suitable Health and Safety certificate (IOSH Managing Safely or similar) and Knowledge of Quality Management Systems is extremely desirable.

We seek a Facilities Manager with demonstrated experience managing the delivery of hard (fire services, electrical) and soft services (cleaning, food) and a team of 17 Sodexo staff.   You will manage the planned work schedules, and will review & evaluate building works as well as coordinate all aspects of building maintenance and essential services via contractor management.

What will I be doing?

Our client is a leading company that is dedicated to supporting customers that are supplied into a range of industries, their product quality is recognised as second to none. Due to growth and expansion into various export markets they are looking for a Regional Maintenance Manager to join their close-knit team, ideally be based around Worcester or somewhere in the Midlands. You will have responsibility for a number of manufacturing sites across the UK, Ireland and some responsibility for Israel

To undertake the daily operational responsibility to ensure that all sites run smoothly, in direct relation to all Facilities services including housekeeping, portering, and catering services, waste management, security, fire safety, H&S signage, cleanliness including external areas such as grounds and gardens and general operational maintenance across all sites. To manage relevant external contractors to ensure an effective value for money service. To look for ways to improve current services and contracts in the best interest of the Trust. Responsible for managing the lift/door access system, developing improved methods / systems of accessing the lift and working with all parties using the building to maximise efficiency. To work with external contractors and consultants to develop, implement and review effective systems of work within the sites responsible. To manage and ensure that all security systems and procedures are effective and known throughout all of the sites responsible. Work with NHS SMS to ensure that the sites responsible comply with SMS Directives and H&S legislation. Where necessary to develop/enhance security systems to ensure the safety of service users, carers, staff and visitors to the site. To further develop existing internal communication channels to achievethis. To be responsible for all internal and external contractual arrangements; to include being the main source of communication, coordinating, monitoring to minimise disruption. This will include external suppliers and their representatives. To be responsible for the management of all non-clinical complaints within Trust guidelines and to look for and implement corrective actions and / or problem solving techniques to reduce reoccurrences, as appropriate. To be fully aware and trained in the latest Health and Safety requirements in connection with managing an NHS site. To use this knowledge in every day issues that arise as appropriate and when necessary and through routine matters, utilising expertise from Fire Safety Service and / or Estates Officers. To facilitate the equitable use of space and the allocation of any available accommodation, where appropriate consulting with users and where necessary operating as an independent arbitrator. To ensure all MCT Directorates receive an equitable Facilities Management services within the sites responsible. To liaise with all Mental Health Care Division and Trust Wide Support Service Managers to deliver an equitable service. To work collaboratively with the Facilities Management Team on the development of Services. To operate an affective system of reporting and monitoring both incidentals, emergency and planned maintenance requirements to include monitoring the LSHP contract and other SLAs in place. To manage multi-departmental budgets, to deliver a balanced budget, and generally to ensure that all financial actions accord with the Trusts SFIs and guidelines. To have management responsibility for the procurement, maintenance and monitoring of all physical assets and supplies for multiple departments within the sites responsible. Proven experience in maintenance planning and compliance management.
Familiarity with PBS/AMMS accreditation and NHVR requirements.
Strong background in compliance, quality assurance, and risk management.
Experience with Mex or similar CMMS.
Engineering or Trade qualification is an advantage.
