Sport and Youth Programme Delivery Lead | Various venues in Westminster area | Full-time, 35 hours per week | £28,500 to £32,000 per annum (depending on experience and skills)

They are seeking a dynamic individual to lead their Sport and Youth Programmes across Westminster. As the Sport and Youth Programme Delivery Lead, you will spearhead initiatives aimed at engaging and empowering young individuals through sports activities and youth development programmes.
Are you the right person for the job?
Education/Qualifications/Training:
• University degree or relevant professional qualification in youth work, community development, or sports management
• Intermediate proficiency in MS Office applications
• Enhanced Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check
• Level 1 qualification in Football (Level 2 desirable)
Experience:
• Minimum 2 years' experience in leading community sports facilities or funded programmes
• Proven track record of working with diverse groups, including disadvantaged individuals
• Strong organisational skills and experience in budget management
• Experience in event planning and customer service
Knowledge:
• Sound understanding of business operations and target-setting processes
• Familiarity with Health and Safety legislation and sports governing bodies
• Knowledge of project management and evaluation systems

• Ability to motivate and develop staff and volunteers
• Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities

What will your role look like?
• Plan and deliver sports sessions at multiple venues in Westminster, ensuring high-quality coaching and progression for participants
• Manage football programmes at Lisson Green estate and Churchill Gardens, overseeing team activities and tournaments
• Organise community events and engage with local partners for enhanced social inclusion
• Lead a team of coaches and volunteers, providing support and guidance for effective programme delivery
• Manage football teams and clubs, facilitating tournaments and competitions to boost community involvement
• Ensure all administrative tasks related to club operations are completed efficiently
• Coordinate youth club sessions and wider development programmes, monitoring performance indicators and evaluating impact
• Collaborate with the Head of Programmes to innovate and expand youth development initiatives, fostering partnerships for greater outreach
• Serve as the Designated Safeguarding Lead for the Westminster area, ensuring compliance with safeguarding procedures
• Conduct outreach activities in schools and community spaces to promote programme participation and engagement
• Establish a robust volunteer recruitment and progression pipeline, actively involving volunteers in programme delivery
• Promote volunteering opportunities and identify potential volunteers from within the community
