Asset Protection Agent

The ideal Asset Protection Agent prevents the loss of company property while maintaining a safe business environment. Supports store efforts in providing the best customer service within a controlled environment to support maximum sales at the highest profit rate attainable. Under general supervision and established procedures, the Asset Protection Agent detects and apprehends shoplifters and dishonest employees.

A day in the life…

• Maintain the general safety and security of customers, employees, and the store
• Respond to and report all store security and emergency situations
• Monitor and conduct surveillance of customer behavior for indicators of theft
• Conduct external and internal investigations utilizing available information to track, mitigate and resolve theft
• Monitor, conduct surveillance and educate store employees on indicators of Organized Retail Crime (ORC) activity, grab & runs and high impact theft
• Conduct investigations of fraudulent gift card and credit card activity
• Reduce and control loss of inventory through audits, training, and store awareness
• Recover stolen merchandise and apprehend individuals for theft and illegal activity while following all safety precautions
• Prepare and submit prompt and complete reports relative to all theft incidents, merchandise recoveries, accident investigations, audits, and other illegal activities, 
• Monitor and interpret key performance indicators (KPIs) and exception-based reporting to help reduce loss, proactively identify trends, and root cause in high shrink locations
• Testify in court concerning any case, criminal or civil, wherein the company is a party of interest to which the Asset Protection Agent is summoned

POSITION SUMMARY

We are currently seeking a Purchasing Agent to be responsible for coordinating activities involved with the purchase of various products and services. The commodities include subcontract aircraft parts, tooling, raw material, outside processes, Maintenance and Repair Operations (MRO) supplies, capital equipment or other items identified by management.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Identify, evaluate and develop sources for a variety of products
• Prepare Request for Quotation (RFQ's) to obtain competitive bids from approved sources
• Evaluate and negotiate supplier proposals
• Review and evaluate product quality, supplier qualifications, manufacturing capability, lead time, contractual issues and cost
• Provide cost and lead time information provided by supplier to appropriate individuals at Sonaca North America
• Perform planning and forecasting, and risk assessment activities to support long lead purchases and including transmittal to customers and suppliers when required
• Perform obsolescence review and make disposition recommendations
• Prepare purchase orders, contracts and award justification documents
• Evaluate requirements and determine appropriate purchasing methods
• Negotiate specific contracts within budgetary limitations and scope of authority
• Develop strategic supplier relationships while serving as primary liaison with suppliers
• Ensure suppliers are provided necessary information, tooling and materials
• Maintain related purchasing records such as: items or services purchased, costs, delivery, product quality or performance and inventories
• Address supplier disputes and performance deficiencies
• Monitor and control supplier delivery performance
• Develop and utilize Supplier Management “Best Practices” to proactively manage suppliers
• Monitor and control inventory levels and spend consistent with management’s strategic plan
• Discuss defective or unacceptable goods or services with inspection or quality control personnel, users, suppliers and others to determine cause and take or recommend corrective action

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCES

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education, training and experience.
• Minimum three (3) years of experience in procurement/supply chain in a manufacturing environment or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
• Noise levels ranging from quiet to extremely loud
• Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when working on the manufacturing floor including, but not limited to, eye, ear, and foot protection

The Purchasing Agent is primarily responsible for the execution of the sourcing and procurement processes.  

Key Elements Of The Role:

• Sources, negotiates, and purchases materials, equipment, services, and small scale construction in accordance with Suffolk County Procurement policies, and ensures compliance. 

• Prepare bid packages, analyze responses, and make sourcing selections. Implement purchase order documents and/or contract documents that comply with Suffolk County Procurement policies and regulations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

OPEN COMPETITIVE

Either:

The Inventory Agent maintains the organizations medical, surgical services supplies inventory, ordering and supplying necessary items while maintaining accurate records of all procurements.   May be responsible for teaching quarterly Infor Lawson Classes, building & updating PAR Carts, working with departments on updating their ordering templates, and printing labels for all appropriate locations.

Shifts: We are currently recruiting for the following shift patterns:

4 on 2 off. 06:00 - 14:30

4 on 2 off. 13:30 - 22:00

4 on 2 off. 05:00 - 13:30

4 on 2 off: 07:00 - 15:30

Pay Rate: Earlies - £14.00 per hour. Lates - £15.00 per hour. Overtime 125% of hourly pay (shift dependant)

Working Days: 40-hour week between Monday to Sunday - must be able to work weekends & Bank Holidays.

Length: Ongoing full-time position with the potential of going permanent.

Requirements:

• Manual handling of heavy goods. Although role involves operation of a forklift you must be prepared to build and break down pallets for majority of the shifts
