Job Description:

Chief Surveyor - Marine

Abu Dhabi, UAE

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Chief Surveyor - Marine to join our team! In this role you will get to work on a construction supervision team responsible to supervise a dredging, reclamation, and ground improvement contractor on a high profile project in Abu Dhabi.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Responsible to carry out the marine field surveys in tandem with a team, and dredging/reclamation contractor.

• Responsible to conduct field operations/surveys on land and on marine vessels.

• Responsible to witness contractor performing surveys, logging the information and verifying the installed quantities in coordination with the contractor, employer and quantity surveyors on the team.

• Responsible to identify the client’s priority zones on the critical path and update progress reports daily. Must maintain Daily Log of all Activities.

• Troubleshoot challenges with the Contractor and other Consultants in order to achieve measurable success.

Director, Strategic Growth and Partnerships

The Director will play an important role in advancing the objectives of Land O’Lakes Venture37’s organizational growth and impact strategy. The Director is an experienced business development professional with established relationships with US Government customers, including USAID and preferably USDA, and experience working in agriculture development and economic growth. The Director’s focus will include influencing and executing the organization’s USAID and USDA competitive bid strategy, alongside managing key customer and partner relationships.  She/he will be an active participant in intel gathering and proposal development, including leading proposal efforts, to drive quality, competitive project designs and proposals. She/he will also lead execution of customer development plans, with support from other team members, and cultivate new customer and stakeholder relationships including the development of international and local private sector and NGO partnerships. The Director will have multiple direct reports and is expected to travel 20% of the time.

Strategy and pipeline development

• Drive business development strategy through active pipeline development, with a particular focus on key customers USAID and USDA, ensuring early intel capture and targeted pursuit of priority customers and procurements.

• Identify funding trends and contribute to bid analyses and capture plans to position V37 competitively.

Required Experience/Knowledge (to be able to perform this job): 

• Master’s Degree in International Development, Business Administration, Agriculture, Economics or related field plus a minimum of ten years relevant work experience, or combination of additional education and experience to total ten years

• Outstanding relationship-building skills and client-centered approach to partnership development

• Demonstrated experience, knowledge and success orchestrating and leading winning USAID bid strategies and proposals

• Significant experience in proposal leadership roles including leading and writing proposals

• Demonstrated understanding of emerging trends in international agriculture/economic development

• Demonstrated ability to work with technical leads to conceptualize and develop program designs

• Experience in leading and working with multi-cultural staff, including awareness of and sensitivity to working with multi-cultural groups in multiple socio-economic settings

• Proven team building and staff development experience with ability to mentor staff on proposal development.

Position Summary:

The IT Director is responsible for overseeing all aspects of information technology within the Company. This role combines technical expertise in electrical and information engineering with IT management skills to ensure the effective operation of our technology infrastructure and support property investment and management functions. The IT Director will play a vital role in optimizing systems, improving efficiency, and enhancing the overall tenant and owner experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Technology Leadership:

· Develop and execute the company's IT strategy, aligning it with business goals and objectives.

· Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.

Technology Infrastructure Management:

· Maintain and upgrade the company's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and electrical systems if applicable.

· Ensure the availability, reliability, and security of IT resources.

Systems Integration:

· Integrate property management software, and electrical systems to create smart and efficient property management solutions.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement integrated technology solutions.

Data Management and Analytics:

Electrical Engineering Expertise:

Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity:

User Support and Training:

· Provide technical support to address IT and electrical-related issues promptly and efficiently.

· Offer training and resources to employees to enhance technology adoption and proficiency.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electric and Information Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

· Strong knowledge in IT infrastructure management, cybersecurity, data analytics and software systems.

· Understanding of electrical systems, property management and smart building technologies.

· Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

· Familiarity with relevant regulations and compliance standards.

[What you will be working on]

• To administer the Residential Property Act to regulate foreign ownership of restricted residential property in Singapore. Main role involves operational aspects pertaining to the day to day running and operations of the Land Dealings Approval Unit, including:
  • Processing, managing, and evaluating cases.
  • Responding to enquiries from members of the public and foreign persons
  • Providing support for projects
• To provide legal advice and support on operational matters and projects, including drafting and legislative review
• To review policies, prepare policy submissions and make policy recommendations to ensure they are up to date and relevant.
• To conduct enforcement work to ensure compliance with legislation and conditions.

[What we are looking for]

• Candidates with a qualification in Law and admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore is preferred
• Prior experience in professional private practice or an in-house legal position will be advantageous
